Case #20180605001: Snorek vs SlarkSnorek claims his other account (Slark) was hacked, not sold Slark claims he bought the account from original owner, then stake his own btc address on June 10, 2018 assuming current Slark doesn't lie, all this can be avoided if he as a buyer gets all supporting data/credentials full control of registered email address and any/all btc addresses posted in Slark's posts history @Slark ask your seller to provide the signed message from one of other posted addresses if sellers refuses to create signed message, expose his username here to get tagged as account seller/scammer 2014 13qTkApa9UKN4LgdeqEBHCJ7Qdp6FL2UuF Luckyb.it Sig ~ http://archive.is/Ns2U1#selection-2969.0-2969.5 2015 197ZjZEUewwSLozV8JHj5YdKQfRZK1zBNf YABTCL.com Sig ~ http://archive.is/HEhIQ#selection-4619.0-4619.5 2016 196LJBsDHN4TanUqY8pfqABhex4iG4EXJP Rollin.io Sig ~ http://archive.is/5BQ3d#selection-2393.0-2393.5 (found old archive) @Snorek shouldn't you be able to lock the account when he changes/resets password and/or email address? Trust summary for Slark This user's password was reset recently. This user's email address was changed recently. There is no one but me who has access to these addresses, it's futile to ask hacker/buyer for a signed message from my addresses. I never received any email confirmation to my email associated with my Slark account, it seems that it is not needed if you want to change your password :/ The last notification in my email inbox from Slark PM inbox is this: The message they sent you was (from 15.04.2018): Hi. Thanks for replying my topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3325654.0Can you tell me how can I get some Merit? Thanks a lot! Reply to this Personal Message here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;f=inbox;pmsg=8291009;quote;u=1092949 There are some groups in telegram, where you can buy such accounts. The seller of account told me, that he is going off from business and he's not need account any more. So I bought it. Of course I delete previous messages from account - because it's not my business. It's normal. So what I must do? Return account and lose my money? I wanted to use in signature campaigns- that's all. And of course I changed email to my new one-it's normal practice. If i was I a scammer or hacker-I might sold all merits for 10$ per one. Think about ut. But I didn''t do this. I bought this account in 7 of june. It's my mistake-that I didn't find this topic earlier. Why i'm signed a BTC address? Because I'm in Panic now. I don't wanna lose my 2k$. I just wanted to take part in Signature campaigns. That's all what I wanted. Now I'm a victim.
I don't even want to start commenting on how many levels your crooked explanation is flawed. You are a victim of your greed, nothing more. Return my account ASAP. I don't want to hear your whining anymore - don't buy or sell accounts - create and level up your own account!

I'm waiting for seller. Who will return me my money? Why the selling of account is allowed?
If you bought it from someone then you have been tricked as I am the original owner of Slark account and I never sold it and never will. I am afraid that you will never get the money you paid for the account back - from the so-called seller aka hacker. It would be the best if you could simply return my account, as I am nothing but a victim of the hack. I am surprised that you never verified the ownership of the account by searching BTC address posted in the past by 'the owner' from whom you bought the account and asked him for a signed message.

Bump. I never received any reply from Cyrus. My Slark account remains hacked and the hacker started to delete my posts and enrolled himself in sig campaign. Can someone from DT temporary tag my alt-account so the hacker cannot use it at least? It seems that there are plenty of people with hacked accounts out there. Seeing posts like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4451532.0certainly didn't boost my hope of getting my account back.

Be calm and patient, just wait for the new blood to come and buy at the dip. We have been there so many time with news far more frightening that we have now. You are asking when the bear sentiment will end? Who knows - it is certain that we either need to wait it out or be hit with some really positive news (maybe about bitcoin ETF?).

It is not like we are out of ideas to create new ICO/altcoins. There is no need to cry over spilt milk. Bitcoin could reach even $100k after next halving - there are some promising ICOs too - for example, SaveDroid.

Op, just read short descriptions of each wallet on this site: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-walletThis is probably the most reliable and coherent overview of the available Bitcoin wallets. Please note that even the most trusted wallet can be hit by an unknown vulnerability, just like Electrum wallet not long ago. So if you want to be safe just keep your coins in an offline environment.

This news will clearly push the price down more as people will digest the impact and content of that article. Specifically, people who are new to crypto will most likely sell (already sold) their BTC after reading this article. The veteran ones will just likely shrug this off as they experienced this same kind of "FUD" in the past in a more greater scale. I think, South Korea will not ban it but they will put a very strict rule/regulation regarding tax payment for crypto trades. Well, I'm just hodling my BTC stack and will not budge because of this issue.
Well said. It is the same bad news based on FUD as we heard many times before. First Russia banned BTC, then China banned leverage trading and then yuan to BTC trading, they also banned exchanges for a brief time AFAIK. We will always have some kind of legal issue related to cryptocurrency - it's the name of the game here.

Yes we are in a bubble and sometimes it burst, but we will recover soon
If we are indeed in a bubble right now - then I am afraid that Bitcoin might not recover that easily and might be crippled forever. Ther problem with Bitcoin is fact that we will never know for sure what is going on as the value is based purely on people's view and demand for BTC. Anyway, follow the twitter of that guy from the Op's posts - apparently he is giving out 0.0002 BTC to everyone

For me I'll choose trading cause I can't wait too long and it's what needed in holding ). With trading I can earn Bitcoin very quickly but with holding I need to wait until the price of Bitcoin increase. But trading require more than holding, if you want to earn Bitconi with trading you need to have a lot of experience, trading skills or maybe a trading signal bot Bitcoin is gaining more than any other asset in the world before (I am not counting illegal stuff, short-lived bubbles or dubious financial schemes). In last 30 days we had +56.50% price rise of BTC - so are you seriously saying that holding bitcoin to get 50% profit is not good enough? I would rather have solid 50% gain than even higher but not certain profit.

This site is highly suspicious, too many questions - who are you really trading with - also you can only SELL bitcoin, you can't buy anything. Never use bitcoin in combination with reversible payments method - PayPal and bank transfers can be reversed easily, and you won't be able to prove that you have sent bitcoin. IMO don't waste your time on this site - better to use some serious exchange.

There is an old saying: "Master Emotions And You'll Master The Market" - I know that this is not easy to do, but unfortunately this is the only way to follow if you want to be a successful trader. You need to understand that trading is finding a golden proportion between Fear and Greed - With altcoin/cryptocurrency trading it is even harder to find the best position. Uncertainty creates emotional turbulence as there is no telling what future value of altcoin will be. And I will tell you this: the point of maximum financial opportunity is always linked to the lowest price.

Have you seen recent Bitcoin price? If we were doomed without China then please tell me why Bitcoin reached another ATH? Chinese traders/miners are very resourceful people, they know how to avoid pesky 'regulations' and bans. There is no way that simple fiat to BTC trade blockade in China will have any deeper consequences.

I also think so, paypal is now decreasing its users due to the existence of bitcoin and it will be decreasing every year as the price of bitcoin and its users is increasing. We can't deny that fact even they will claim the other way around. Sometimes it will all closed down and those centralized online financial platform be gone.
Very doubtful theory. PayPal has nothing to worry about - Bitcoin offers a terrible user experience and using BTC instead of centralized payment operator is kinda difficult. Suffice to say that none of the big merchants accepting bitcoin is dealing with direct blockchain transactions, and instead are using bitcoin payment provider (BitPay, BitBay etc.) to handle their BTC payments. PayPal is still a better way for people to pay, it is cheaper than Bitcoin, usually faster and have idiot-proof features modern dumb society crave for - viva chargeback!

The oldest truth in the book - when a traditional economy is in peril, alternatives thrive. With Bitcoin it is exactly the same, the harder FIAT will fell the higher bitcoin will soar. Just wait when Wall Steet or debt based western economy will collapse it will create turmoil so big that bitcoin might touch the sky. The only question is - we have no idea when and where the crisis will start - but one is certain - sooner or later it will hit us. Stay tuned.

Bear market?? We have had an incredible rise in price over the last few months so I am not sure we are in a bear market.
If you mean the dip we had due to China banning ICO, its all part of the normal ups and downs and the overall trend for BTC is UP.
There is no bear market considered the state of bitcoin in 2017, these minor inconveniences hardly can be called bear market. I can't promise anything but after thorough analysis of trends and market prediction it is safe to assume that bitcoin price target to $7,500 before then end of the year. Heck it might be even higher, just see that we are far above estimated price predictions for 2017 - https://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/08/bitcoin-price-hits-record-high-and-4000-is-ahead-investor-says.html

First of all, my bitcoin stash is really tiny. I wish I had bought more coins in the past when BTC was still dirt cheap (at least comparing to current price) We need to understand something, money, bitcoin or stashing your riches is not end in itself. I will sell my Bitcoin when I will be sure that it could change my life for the better. Or if I realize that I need to indulge myself. Don't wait until you will be old and sour, catch the wind in your wings today.

i miss the old bitcoin days where I could make $500 a day Times with huge volatility was definitely fun and crazy, but we all know that it couldn't last forever. Growing adoption and acceptance bitcoin as the payment method by merchants can't be continued when one day BTC is worth $500 more/less than the day before. So yeah speculation game is over, but that doesn't matter that bitcoin price won't continue to grow gradually in the future.

Any reason why they started to signal SegWit2x earlier than expected? Is it some kind of drill. Also I love this little disclaimer from Coindesk on how CoinDesk is always a subsidiary of something, someone, whatever and they are linked to everything in cryptocurrency ecosystem. For example, they're part of Digital Currency Group, which helped organize the Segwit2x agreement. Sick.

Latest news in India is that they are going to ban usage of Bitcoin, due to no control and limited supply of Bitcoin. It will also increase black money in India which government trying slowly to cut down.
There is no certain info on that just bunch of online articles where people speculate what Indian government will do with bitcoin. For now, I have only seen India's authorities attempt to test the water and ask society what do they want, bitcoin acceptance or ban. This is the latest news I managed to find which covers this topic: https://cointelegraph.com/news/ban-or-else-indian-government-asks-citizens-what-to-do-with-bitcoin
