The numbers are obviously exaggerated to some degree for the purpose of marketing. But they do say a lot. How many times did you hear about bitcoin before you actually decided to really read into it? Same with altcoins? Neucoin is reaching a much larger market than any other altcoin. As long the price doesn't drop like a rock they're going to slowly gain more and more seriously interested users. Neucoin reaches outside the crypto market like no other coin has been able to do besides bitcoin. We'll see over this year how they do with retention, but if they keep it up Neucoin will become one of few successful cryptos

I posted here a week or two ago. Does it really matter to know who you're arguing with? What so you can see in the forum that he/she may have a few coins and thereby give you another bs point to make an attempt to discredit him? When the FUDing gets to the level it's at here you can't expect the coin devs to stick around. They were bringing up every piece of dirt they could find on peoples pasts that have nothing to do with neucoin. and being as these trolls add nothing to neucoin why would they waste their time here?

I don't remember the exact numbers but a week or two after solitaire and jango came out with neu they mention having 20-30k new neucoin wallet users. Now they may not use them much. But that is healthy progress, much better than pretty much every other alt. Not sure how it stands up to Eth and factom. You guys don't seem to understand that there are many ways for success to happen. There's more than a few ways to do things. Just because you weren't taught about them and don't understand them, doesn't mean they're a scam. Is it possible skepticism from people being to closed minded keeps this coin from becoming noteworthy, yes. It wouldn't be the first time. But this coin has a lot potential. Yes, the marketing speak was a bit over the top. That's how people who sell things do their job. But that doesn't make this coin a scam. They did not outright lie, they exaggerated a bit. I could understand FUDing over it for a week or two, but having a hard-on for neu for over a year is unhealthy guys, you should go and see a doctor. I'm getting a bit concerned that you guys might be zoophiliacs. Which I guess if that's what your into it's okay-ish, but I am vegan, so make sure they're into it first.

Except I've been holding said coins for about 3 months and have gained a fair amount of interest, so I'm a good bit above break even. And then if you get into implied odds It's worth the risk to hold Neucoin. Yes, I know BTC was going to go above the $250 when I bought neucoin at $0.01, but I understand the potential that it has. Early stage investors are risk takers. But things are looking pretty good overall.

You've taken economics, good for you. Take a statistics course sometime, and/or maybe learn more about the history of money.

So then the price is doing just fine. The Devs are still with this coin. They're jointly using the @acorn avatar for the sake of simplicity and in part I imagine to avoid such rude harassment from the trolls. They get pretty bad, especially on this forum.

I'm for transparency, here's my neucoin account, currently most of my coins are in a growth account so it shows 7000 but if you look at my last large transaction you'll see that the money is sitting in a growth account. I was using Timenglers wallet and was confused by something so have moved my coins to a growth account for the three month duration. I will move them back to the official neucoin wallet after the three months. And by such time make sure my computer is clean.

Should I ever decide to sell off my coin I would publicly say that I was leaving. Though a fair distance into the future I may sell off some of my interest gained when it gets over a cent without bothering to tell anyone. But currently I'm quite satisfied by the amount of response by the team. I'm looking forward to seeing how things go.

Gosh it's bleak in here, spent the last couple hours catching up the last week and a half of posts.

I wasn't suggesting a fake. But one that gave a better ideal of how coins are distributed in the available market.

Though it hasn't turned out as I'd expected, neucoin still has potential. As long as that is the case I will be a mod and speak in its defense. Though I am a bit concerned.

P.S. I did not run away from neucoin. I have a bit more dignity than to simply disappear. I was busy trailing in the mountains and now I'm back in my hometown getting back into the swing of things here. I've been away from my hometown awhile.

I'm touched that you've missed me so much Rizz. A friend invited me to do a segment of the AT. So I've got about another 300 miles to go. I'm going to try to be in town on the launch day. Not much service out there. That being so the ANN is at the bottom of my list of things to check in the unlikely event that I have service. Today I happen to be on break in a town using a computer. I've skimmed over the recent BTCtalk thread, gosh you guys had quite a bit to say since I've been gone. Got a good kick out of the brail post someone threw up. I'm still a fan of this coin. And unless it doesn't launch and we don't get our coins back I will continue to be a fan of this coin because I understand its potential. I'll get back to more actively moderating when I return to civilization. I will be in Gatlinburg in about 2 weeks for another break from the trail.

On a side note when you allow someones disgusting views to go unnoticed you're making the statement that it's acceptable. Silence upon witnessing something wrong is a sign that what is happening is acceptable and perpetuates issues.

No official statement. The deadline for launch is September 30th. Otherwise money will be returned. It is very unlikely to be pushed back but if they do that's cool too. In some ways it would be a good thing. It would help give them credibility to return the funds from people who want to get out of the project. It would remove the possibility of this just being a scam. And I think that would raise quite a bit more interest in the crypto community. And I'm sure there are a fair number who would be interested in buying in to make up for those who want out. But mostly just naysayers speak up here. I don't mind waiting for a good launch. A good strong launch is imperative for a stable growth. But most likely they'll launch within their original parameters.

This is not a confirmed scam. Please do not speak as if it were. If you want to point out the questionable information fine. But please do not make false statements. I'm still looking forward to the launch.

I'm sure I posted my reasons for believing in the coin at some point, but I guess it's lost in all the posts by this point so I'll reiterate as it has been awhile.

My two main points of interest in this coin are for one,

it's being started up like a business, they're not reaching out for people to work for free due to faith. Which means things are moving and will continue to do so. Many coins have slow starts or die halfway through. That won't be an issue here. The team is being compensated and are working hard on the project. And they have initial backing and the successful presale to push interest. Paying big companies to use Neucoin sounds great, right now the crypto world is sitting around waiting for people to pick up crypto of their own volition but many companies are content with their 3% ish and up fees going through banks and they see crypto is a risk. They need a bit more incentive. It will start off with games apps and the like that the money value isn't as critical. Once it's stable it can move out further. And it has the networking in place to do so.

Second is the freemium. Anyone who can get an account is going to be handed about 25 cents for free and told this will help you buy music or get rid of ads or for games. The first platform will come by the end of the year to my understanding. It's an untouched niche with so much potential. With a proven distribution style.

Another thing is how archaic our current financial system is, the conditions are ripe for a coin to take over in the next few years as countries are bubbling due to the stupidity of our systems exponentially expanding debt. BTC creator ditched, I haven't heard of too much innovation from the chairs of BTC. And with the heightening costs of mining it will become overly centralized with time.

In an ideal world anything great could start completely decentralized, but our current global system isn't advanced enough for that yet. We need to have the centralized foundation the first few years to launch it. In the grand scheme of things 5 years isn't that long, but in crypto it is pretty long and thus enough time to make sure it doesn't sink.

The other moderators and I don't have anymore information than you, so though I do agree more information would be nice, it will come with time. The beta should have most of the information people want. The launch should give us most of the rest.

@Riz The first month will be strictly presale coins and PoW coins. I reconfirmed it a bit ago.

I've been messaged briefly about it, I wouldn't really call it concrete. Any payment I receive will be in Neucoin. If the community got upset I'm sure it's alterable. But I am to the understanding that I will get some compensation for pre-launch efforts. I'm a moderator because I believe in this coin, I intend to give most coins given to me for moderating away. Also as moderator my only responsibility is to The neucoin.org forum not here. If they decide to pay me a bit for it cool.
