1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: June 18, 2014, 11:38:40 AM
I'd be happy to return on CleverMining if/when X11 and/or scrypt-n is/will be supported

We're launching X11 and Scrypt-N this week!

Are there any good resources that people can recommend to convert my GPU miner (running windows and cgminer) to x11 or scrypt-n?  Also - which one of those options should I be considering more (I have 4x7950)
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: One worker on multiple computer advantages and disadvantages? on: April 20, 2014, 12:43:10 AM
One worker means you can have one config across all machines - if you have a working config and machines are identical - you can literally copy your startup command to every machine you want to run from and go.

Disadvantages - if you're mining with a pool that provides you stats per worker - you won't be able to tell which of your machines is performing well, not so well etc. - as all of your stats will be reported as one worker vs. using multiple.

Whitecoin has huge confirmation time, it's the explanation that makes most sense.

Agreed, but with 47% of my total expected sitting in unexchanged - I'd like to hear an update from Terk if possible.

You guys aren't alone with the high unexchanged. This is usually because Terk is busy with some testings or fixes, or perhaps because it is East weekend in the U.S.

Either way, profits are looking amazing right now. I'd love for this to keep holding! /fingscrossed

Keep it up Terk! Enjoy your weekend. Hopefully you remember to take some time off now and then Smiley

Immature   0.01597531 BTC
Unexchanged   0.03040891 BTC
Ready For Payout   0.01129899 BTC
Total Expected   0.05768321 BTC

I know why. It's because the new coins, Whitecoin, Blackcoin, asiacoin and all that aren't on exchanges yet, and maybe he hasn't set up the wallets, so he needs to manually trade the coins.

Do you know this as a fact (has Terk told you?)

If not - please don't answer on his behalf.

Unexchanged balance is really creeping up there - and I didn't see a payout last night (I believe I was close to or over 0.01 at around the time of payout - if I wasn't it was because unexchanged was so high).  Predicted results are really quite high - so I don't mind waiting an extra day for payout provided the unexchanged makes it to actual bitcoin.

Terk - is there an exchange holding onto our coins, or some other reason for high unexchanged?

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: msi twin frozr - fast but fans are dreadful. on: April 14, 2014, 01:51:46 AM
I took the MSI fans off of the shroud / heatsink and zip tied 2 x $5 80mm case fans (4000 RPM, 52cfm) (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8208357&CatId=494) (tigerdirect . ca model# FD08025B1H3/4)

The MSI 7950 I have is hashing 670 Kh/s, 1125 engine clock, 1500 memory clock, voltage 1088, @ 71C with this setup (approximately a week).

The fans on my sapphire cards are starting to go - I believe I'll do the same with them (but probably look for 90mm fans for them as the opening on the shroud is larger).

Of course
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: April 09, 2014, 12:52:06 AM
We had some very bad luck with LTC mining today - we found only 70% of number of blocks which we expected to find based on amount of hashrate pointed at LTC. With lower hashrate today than in recent days, variance has more impact. As it always is with variance, our luck will change and we will probably get more than average luck very soon.

Also, I am working today on some changes allowing us for smarter splitting of hashrate, so that we will go back to mining some very small coins which we stopped mining few weeks ago. These small coins were totally unprofitable during this time, but some of them started to be profitable in recent days so it's worth to include them again - we just need to be very careful with amount of hashpower sent their way as they can't handle much. With improved hashrate splitting algorithm which will go live tonight, we will be able to do this and it will boost our profitability a bit. I'm testing it on a dev server and will deploy it to production tonight.

Appreciated Terk.

This is the way to do it.  We had a bad day - and you communicated why head on.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New profit-switching mining pool with nightly bonus payout-- CoinSolver.com on: March 25, 2014, 09:01:35 PM
Are BTC per MH/s earnings/payouts posted anywhere?

Earlier in the thread I compared with Clevermining.  I can say with certainty - the last 3 weeks clevermining's payouts and reported earnings, and LTC profitability have been 100% accurate (what you see on the website is what you get).

The last time that I used coinsolver, my actual earnings over a few days were significantly lower than that posted by clever (significantly).  I would love to give this pool another try - but can't find the stats to suggest that I should.

Who can help me out?
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 09:40:03 PM
Unable to withdrawal to my BTC wallet from cex.io (after selling my LTC to BTC).

Error message indicating my account isn't > 48 hours (but it clearly is).

Support ticket response indicates email confirmation bug (somehow the error message about my account age somehow relates to email confirmation?)

Nervous that I'm not going to be able to withdrawal anything from this exchange/pool.

Re: unexchanged balance and mistaken addresses. I am starting to work on all these manual database tasks in an hour or so, so expect both of these issues solved today.

How's the unexchanged coming?  I imagine the trades are hard to make and that's what is taking the time.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 05, 2014, 06:38:19 PM
First post for me  i THink.. I can't stand the bitching that goes on in here.

instead of complaining about the pool profitability, coins being mined, or high reject rates, just change pools.  There is no bonus for being loyal to something that is not working for you.

I started off on LTC 1 year ago, moved to middlecoin for a long time, then to WDC and then road DOGE for a month of more before just automating everything back including the trading of altcoins to BTC which is why i'm here.

I find my hash rate shows 300 to 500 khash/s  lower on the site (not included in rejects) and payouts are lower then the mhs  to btc rate the site lists.  But whatever.. I was on wafflepool before but had some issues so i moved here for a while to see how it goes.  2 other rigs i that  manage for someone shows 5 mhs which is correct (2 rigs versus my 4 smaller rigs) and the payouts have been pretty steady for them vs their mh/s.

Do i bitch about profitability or try and tell the op to mine specific coins or fix issues? NO.  If it really bothers me i switch to a different pool and keep monitoring this one.. Much the same way i monitor the many other mutlipools that payout in btc.

I check this thread for info from the OP and other fixes..  the bitching has to stop.. Don't like the issues? try a different pool.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by moving to another pool that is showing better results.

Get cgwatcher and setup different profiles and configure them with different pools so you can hit the drop down, select the profile you want with the pool you want to mine with and let it run.

This is a virtually free service that someone is providing us with pretty graphs and such.. but really, profits are king and you are pretty stupid to stick with one pool out of loyalty or any other reasons if another pool provides better results.

/rant.

I'm not bitching (I actually like it here) - but -- this isn't a virtually free service at all (Terk is making 2%.  Total expected right now is 111 BTC, so when Terk closes that off to 0 that's 2.22 BTC in his pocket for 24-36 hours).

People have every right to complain - even if it's difficult to read the same complaint over and over again, just as you have every right to complain about people complaining, and then saying something completely untrue (suggesting that this is a free service).

Trying Clever to test for 2 days

In 9 hours, 0.00477785 BTC @ 2Mh/s

A: 804352 R: 256000

23% Reject rate....1 getwork failure.....64% efficiency...

Not looking so hot Clever.

Your cgminer settings will need to be tweaked here apparently to deal with reject % (I'm experimenting - will share results when I have some that are decent).

I agree, last two days have not been hot.  Looking at poolpicker, they've not been so hot everywhere - but lots of us are considering temporarily mining at hashcows or middlecoin - they seem to be having "less worse" slumps.

The majority of my rejects are "Untracked Statum" rejects (Haven't had one since I posted this)

I should have stayed on CoinSolver, just had a 0.02 payout last night and jumped over here just to test.

Just don't like the bad efficiency. Should be at 100% minimum. I never go below 100% on CS. Usually around 200% with 3% rejects.

I will report back after a whole 24hrs

Split your hashrate if you can for best comparison.

I'm considering doing that, putting 1 card on middle, 1 on cs, and another here - to show direct results over a week.  It's not a horrible strategy too, because you get to average your gains (high and low) over multiple sources.

Meh, if the variance is just a few mBTC, I am not worried about it. I will pick which site I like the best, CoinSolver obviously, and stick with it. However, if it is not a few mBTC then that's when I will split the hash and see. However, I don't foresee that happening. That is why I am testing CM now.

Edit: Fuck middlecoin in all honesty. I will never mine there

If you look at poolpicker though - the different pools vary significantly day to day - could go from bottom for two days to top for the next two.  It's a tough decision based on gut feeling like you've suggested (and hypocritically one I made the opposite direction to come here vs. coinsolver).

Poolpicker is the best data right now unless you're splitting and capturing your hash to figure it out.

I was one of the fools that decided to try my hand at one of the more profitable pools today, according to poolpicker.

If you take a look at the current graphs on poolpicker, you can probably guess which one I decided to moo-ve to.

Needless to say, at this point, all of my hash are belong to CleverMining.
Also I have a lot of unexchanged and unpaid coins on hashsCows for a 12 days

One thing I've noticed with clever, is that I tend to almost always have 0.01 in unexchanged coins waiting in my balance.  A lot of the trading must be manual (not necessarily a bad thing) - but it's mentally frustrating to see a 0.01 payment when there is > 0.01 in unexechanged waiting that could have been sent if only it was exchanged, only to see unexchanged balance even higher during the next payout.

Those two amounts are fairly close.

LTC is fairly close too.

Cmon pool operators - give us a reason to throw you some hashrate Smiley
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New profit-switching mining pool with nightly bonus payout-- CoinSolver.com on: March 04, 2014, 12:32:54 PM
I have 8 weeks of LTC data Smiley  I'll report every day all week on actual payouts - so we can see if your call of "bs" is accurate or not.

Well until you have 8 weeks of Clever/CoinSolver/Waffle. I could care less.

I invite your data to show otherwise.

Oh vay. You don't go away. Once I get my rig back up I will give you a weeks worth of data.

All this time you've been arguing against the data I collected, and you don't even have any?

Get that rig up and running - sharing results is best for everyone.

I wasn't arguing against the data you collected. I was arguing on the way you are presenting it. My RMA comes in on Monday.

Did your RMA come in?

I've had a bad couple of days hardware wise (added an extra GPU to a rig that keeps restarting (I think heat issues)) but I didn't catch it until well into the day.  Other than that, my mining experience with clever has been extremely positive.  With shitty hardware performance, I've mined 0.18963619 BTC in ~ 13 days (give or take a day as the website is saying I joined 13 days ago), or 0.015 per day, when with LTC, I would have averaged 0.012-0.013.

This is what I expected, some days to be MUCH better than LTC, others to be similar, some to be mildly under.
