What do you sell a VPS for? I'm interested in an Ubuntu Server VPS. And what specs would they have?

The 1.6.0 version crashes my Ubuntu on one of my 5850. When I use the kernel on the other card, everything works fine. I now mine with phatk2 on one card and phatk on the other. This combination works. I think it has something to do with the video output. I have the screen plugged in on the card that i mine with phatk2 with. The other one, that crashes doesn't have a screen or dummy plug.

is anyone able to mine from arsbitcoin with bithopper? for some reason it refuses to switch to that pool even though it's not lagging and I've disabled the other backup pools.
Yes, I mined some hours ago on arsbitcoin.

Anyhow I dont see how you could delay/alter any of the public non-user specific api feed without also delaying it for loyal users as you seem to mention here.
Sure he can, just like he tampers with the connection of your worker he can delay the stats for the same IP. And you think I pull stats from the same ip that I connect from ? I have a completely seperate setup for where I pull server stats from mainly so it wont hammer it nor appear all botlike. Good for you. I didn't intend to attack you, you know? In your case he can't to anything to delay the stats only for you, but you already know that. On an unrelated matter: I need a hopperden invite, too. Oh and c00w could you comment on this please: I'm also seeing lots of unknown-work stales coming from users of your proxy. In fact 90% of your users "stales" are unknown-work. Proxy is hopping prematurely and submitting work from other pools? Not good. I thought this was solved a long time ago?

Anyone else getting this error: Caught, jsonrpc_call insides DNS lookup failed: address 'http' not found: [Errno -5] No address associated with hostname. I get it from time to time, doesn't really break anything but I wonder if it's something I broke myself during a merge or if others see it as well? Check your config... I'm betting you have http:// before the mine_address of a pool Thanks, you solved it!

Then the next timestamp shows about 20 mins later and it's mining at eligius. It continues at eligius until I stopped and restart the scrpit this morning, then it switched to one of the two pools that were under the threshold for hopping. Could this happen because my intenet connection went down? If so is there any wayy to automatically restart the hopper once the connection comes back? Thanks No, this is a bug in pool.py at line 98. "server" should be "servers". You should upgrade, it's fixed since yesterday I think. Edit: I just looked through pool.py and found another typo in line 88. I've added a pull request.

bitcoins.lc seems to have PPLNS. My estimated earnings dropped rapidly and now I have 0 estimated BTCs in a 2h+ round. I disabled it again.
Nah, it just averages the last 15 minutes, thats all. Look at your recent transactions here https://www.bitcoins.lc/statsYou are right, sorry for the confusion!

shouldn't we use the valid share count opposed to the total share count? 1. NoFeeMining - yep me too. But unless they have a sophisticated antihopping strategy, I don't think they're handling the heat well. 2. Anyone spot the problem with this? I can't figure why it's not working. Something dumb I've missed probably. api_address:http://api.bitcoin.cz/stats api_method:re api_key:<tr><td><strong>Shares contributed in current round:</strong></td><td>(\d+)</td></tr>
I'd welcome any help Regex should be correct, must be something else. K thx anty Found the problem: Your URL seems to redirect or something. Here's the correct code. Can someone explain the behaviour of this proxy please. Why is mine currently mining on my backup pool when there are no errors on any of the 4 pools that are configured? Is it because they have passed a certain number of total shares?
Yes, at the current difficulty bitHopper mines until a sharecount of 1690906*0.4 = 676362.4 is reached and then switches to a backup pool.

I tried to include no HTML besides a <pre> tag that other pools are using in their JSON output. What is the most compatible way to output my JSON?
No HTML at all. Just the JSON text. Edit: now it's valid JSON, here's the correct code for bitHopper: [btcmonkey] name: bitcoinmonkey.com mine_address: bitcoinmonkey.com:8332 api_address: https://bitcoinmonkey.com/json/api.php api_method:json api_key:shares_this_round role: mine #CHANGE THIS #http://bitcoinmonkey.com/ user: username pass: password Thanks phorensic!

@hawks5999 nice... my imagination just got loose just managed to conf. bitcoinmonkey (thanks phorensic) [btcmonkey] name: bitcoinmonkey.com mine_address: bitcoinmonkey.com:8332 api_address: https://bitcoinmonkey.com/json/api.php api_method:json api_key:shares_this_round role: info #CHANGE THIS #http://bitcoinmonkey.com/ user: x pass: x (i get an api error though, shit) You get an error because there's html in the json response (view source). Here's a working one: [btcmonkey] name: bitcoinmonkey.com mine_address: bitcoinmonkey.com:8332 api_address: https://bitcoinmonkey.com/json/api.php api_method:re api_key:"shares_this_round":"(\d+) role: mine #CHANGE THIS #http://bitcoinmonkey.com/ user: username pass: password

[btcworld] name: BTC World mine_address: btcworld.de:8332 api_address:http://btcworld.de/statistics role:info api_method:re api_key:Valid\s+shares\s+for\s+current\s+round:</th><td>([0-9]+(,[0-9]+)*) api_strip:',' #CHANGE THIS #http://btcworld.de/signup user: user pass: x This works just fine when I run it through the steps (selectSharesResponse) in python cmd line, but not when I run it "live". Try this regex: api_key:Valid\s+shares\s+for\s+current\s+round:</th><td>([0-9]+(?:,[0-9]+)*) This is untested, but the (?:[your RegEx here]) syntax is used if you want to group something but not generate a group in the output. BitHopper now takes output.group(1) to get the difficulty from regex. That means the first string that you surround with parentheses. I don't know how nested groups are named, but when you use the (?:[your RegEx here]) syntax it shouldn't matter.
