Paypal is a scammer's dream come true. Nobody who values his coins should take this.

I hope I can wake up tomorrow morning to find MtGox trading at $600.. Oh well, I guess this is all a bad dream. Someone wake me up.
I don't know if I should sell my 90 or hold on to them in the hope that there will be a big update window on the Gox website tomorrow announcing they resumed operations and that rates will start to regularize.

Tokyo, Japan, February 20th, 2014! " " Dear MtGox Customers," " Thank you for your patience this week while we are working on re-initiating bitcoin withdrawals. In addition to the technical issue, this week we have experienced some security problems, and as a result we had to relocate MtGox to our previous office building in Shibuya (details can be found here https://support.mtgox.com/home). The move, combined with some other security and technical challenges, pushed back our progress." " As much as we didn’t want to only provide an “update on an update”, this is the current status. We are committed to solving this issue and will provide more information as soon as possible to keep everyone in the loop." " We are very sorry for the delays and deeply appreciate your kind understanding and continuous support." " Best regards," " " MtGox TeamSo is there a very very very angry mob outside their Shibuya office trying to lynch them?

Tell me, anyone who knows anything about this— can I transfer Gox bitcoins to someone who has an unverified Gox account? I mean if, for example, someone with an unverified Gox account buys my coins, can I transfer them to his account from my verified Gox account? Just trying to understand if this rule is still correct: www.mtgox.com/…/press_release_20130530.html Or have they changed it??

How does one make a mistake with $2000? I would love to know and learn how something like this could happen. You pay for the first moneypak and then may have made the mistake, you then proceed to pay for the second, third and fourth moneypaks and still not realize there was a mistake?
Edit-- actually, was just curious. You mentioned "moneypak card for $2K" and "would love to exchange it for some bitcoins". How can this be possible? I have a moneypak-reloadable credit card and the maximum amount of a Reload Pack is $500 so you must have 4 cards and not just one.

Thinking about flying to Tokyo and personally paying them a visit. All other exchanges are operating fine and Gox is still indefinitely locking away coins and funds. This is evilness at its finest. Will check if my passport is still valid.

Someone just sold 104 BTC at $260
Please tell me you are joking. Gox BTC or non-Gox ones?

It's 9 AM now in Tokyo. Please make those guys in Shibuya update their website with something along the lines of "withdrawals will resume today". If there is a God, Allah, Buddha, Krishna out there, please this is all I ask in my lifetime. Just this. If I don't get my coins out I might need a psychiatrist soon.

Must the ID requirements on Bitcoin Builder match the Gox account? Or can a friend register and then I move my 90 Gox coins to that site? Looks like they are offering a good range of bids to buy on that site but I'm not sure what effect this will have on my tax issues (I'm paying child support payments to a previous marriage).

I'm even angrier. Bunch of fraudsters in Tokyo. They should all be prosecuted. Sent you a PM.

Paypal and Bitcoins are incompatible. Paypal's archaic and client-hostile T&C's are insufferable.

If I want to sell my Gox coins to another Gox member how exactly does this work? Can someone guide me through the procedure. Here is my account: http://imgur.com/a/MoufWI mean how do you transfer internally when the coins go through the blockchain? Are you telling me the transfer bypasses the blockchain? Is there a procedural loophole I don't know about? With trade values hovering in the sub-$300 I'm losing my confidence in Tokyo and will probably offload them before their exchange crashes. Looking at 60 to 70% but slightly negotiable to some extent. You're not gonna get those numbers. I just bought 39 goxBTC for 0.54 BTC each. Considering the volume I am fairly confident that is the real price right now. Then I might let them go for 55 or 50% but really have to think hard about this. This is like a hostage situation where I have to pay a ransom to free my coins. A very unfair ransom. http://imgur.com/a/MoufW

How exactly does this work?? I'm looking at my account and can't see how the transfer would work. There's this big box that says withdrawals have been paused.
Might sell for slightly less then. These very unstable fluctuations are giving me sleepless nights. $266. And that even after future withdrawals were assured? Why can't they implement account access and withdrawal services NOW?? I just don't understand this. Fixing their systems will work just as fine as when they allow customers to move their funds and coins. This is intolerably and butt-clenchingly scary.
