1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: February 01, 2019, 07:15:47 AM
I was thinking this morning and trying to used my trading experienced in analyzing my past performance in trading but I came to conclusions that most times that I lose,  my predictions of market directions is right just that something unexpected happened along the way.
Because of this unexpected reactions in market cycles that is why we should learn on how to manage risk.  Since there are many indicators and we can not used all of them at the same time I believe that there is no way we would be successful in trading except we learned how to manage risk and reduce our risk as minimum as possible.
2019, is here,  are we going to continue in losing trade?  I have decided to love my capital more than profits this year and I am not going to take much risky trade this year.

Market is highly volatile and unpredictable. But if we trade with proper stop loss we can maintain a ratio of 7:3 (7 wining bets and 3 bets loss) which is pretty good ratio.

If there is no volatility or uncertainty then there is no fun in trading Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: February 01, 2019, 06:54:00 AM
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?

After these hacks I had read multiple things on google and researched a lot. Do not keep your funds in any exchange. There are two reason:
1. your funds are not safe.
2. your KYC documents are sold after hack.

If you want to play a safe game use non-cutodial exchange which do not require KYC example: CoinSwitch also more importantly use safe wallets(Like trezor)  and save your private key safely. Do not share your private key at any cost.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What all should I know about scalping? on: February 01, 2019, 06:46:32 AM
I'm no expert but I'm guessing the idea is to buy on a slight downtrend (as in not a dramatic or exponential one) and then list a stop order slightly below and to sell at the next candle up.

A Google search might be good for this or see if there are any books on it. I'd certainly be interested to know more of this strategy also.

Thanks. I had googled and there are soo many asked so that I could shortly a few.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: arbitrage problems on: January 31, 2019, 01:13:34 PM
So I decided last week and have found it to be a case "works on Paper"
I noticed an exchange with a BCH/USDT 50% higher than coinbase's price for BCH so eyes watering bought some as a test. It was just 50€ to see if it worked. It did not. The problem was the other exchanges BCH wallet was down so i couldn't deposit it in.
Not to be discouraged I have been looking at other arbitrage sites and opportunities and always have the same issue. Basically the wallet of the currency I want to trade in is down This was for EOS BAT and even LTC.

Is arbitrage possible or is it a case of if it seems too good to be true .....

Arbitrage does work. When I had initially learnt arbitrage I was highly frustrated as there are many things involved while you try to perform arbitrage, it is not only the price difference the liquidity at the exchanges also matters a lot. After spending months on this now I can strongly say that arbitrage does work. I found a guy on linked-in who is expert in arbitrage and he has created bots for triangular arbitrage and few more., I just learnt from him and even I have learnt it upto a level that I book a sound profit.

It is the study and the effort that you put into any topic will help you. Its not that the strategy does not work and there are sites where almost all coin of multiple exchanges are available in same dashboard( I explored this recently) Wink

Keep learning you will get trick behind arbitrage.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / What all should I know about scalping? on: January 31, 2019, 01:01:32 PM
I have been trading based on my technical analysis and strategies. But, interested in learning Scalping. Let me be clear, I am not expecting that the experts here will just make me a expert.

I just want to know which are the good articles and the platforms where I can learn scalping. Please share some informative links where I can learn from the basics.

Thanks in advance.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: A KYC database sold on the Darkweb ? on: January 31, 2019, 09:55:25 AM
Since the recent news of hack, I had been researching on Custodial and non-custodial exchanges thinking that if funds are safe with me in my wallet I am safe. But, this a completely new thing to me that KYC database has been sold. Now, I think one need to only prefer Non-custodial exchange with no kyc.

I found that the following two Exchanges are Non-custodial as well as NO KYC required.
1. CoinSwitch.co
2. Changelly

It really scares me when I read all such discussions in forum. I have even been using Bitmex which is custodial but, till day did not face any major issue using there site.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's 10 years challenge on: January 30, 2019, 11:44:01 AM
Look at prices in 2013. Then there was also a sharp rise, then a smooth decline, then again a sharp rise, beating all records. It seems to me that this can happen again. Now there are all the conditions for this, and the cryptosphere itself develops every day. Something must be happening soon!
2013 is in the early stage, the volume is still very low so with big demand, price could easily pump and dump.
This year is different, we are staying at a billion dollars market and institutional playing is already playing in the market, we need some big
adoption where institutional money will not play only, the BAKKT launch will bring good results.

Yes, Followed by BAKKT we have halving in 2020. In last two halving market was bullish. Count on to see the bull run madness again. Cool
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic selling! Yes or No? on: January 29, 2019, 02:20:57 PM
It is not a good time to sell coins now. Hold and wait for the bull run to come if you are a holder. If you are a trader then both bullish and bearish market are good time to earn until you are good at market reading skills.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: which way bitcoin price going? on: January 29, 2019, 01:46:15 PM
Hi you can see i am new to bitcointalk if i make any mistake please let me know.
i have been watching bitcoin 1.5 year.  that time bitcoin price was around 5500$-6000$ than bitcoin price started to rise. just in few month bitcoin rise up it's all time high 19000$+-23000$+. a lot people starting see very good in bitcoin and invested but than from new year price started to go down.  right now its again goin down when everyone hoping it will reach 4000$. they way bitcoin straggling some people say it's going down below 2500$ some say its going to start climbing again to broke it's al time high. i don't have much experience in trade and analysis bitcoin and i don't know which one to follow. so if anyone has good experience in trade and analysis in bitcoin please suggest which way bitcoin price is going.
Thanks

I read the above messages and agree that trading technique are not transferable, but what I believe is one can learn trading by reading good books and observing Technical analysis of experienced traders.

Following are few things that I had followed while I was learning trading.
1. Read good articles.
2. Following good traders and strategist
3. Learning how to apply Ichimoku, Fibonacci and other indicators and stratagies.
4. Applied the learnt indicators and strategies on the chart and published on trading view and monitored the price.
5. Did paper trade.
6. Did trading on test nest.
7. Understand the mistakes behind my lossing trades
8. How to CLOSE MY LOSSING BETS AND LET THE WINNING TRADES RUN.
9. How and when to use Stop limit, Take Profit, trailing stop loss, Take profit Limit etc.,

You can have book mark good news channels for price prediction and also join some of the groups in telegram. DO NOT INVEST BLINDLY do apply your Technical analysis before investing.

Currently, we are still in bearish market but 2020 is next halving which may act like catalyst. Also, do keep an eye on alt coins few are performing good and it is always good to have portfolio.
