But could be a scam as well..
You can enter any organization name, address, etc when you register a domain name. As I said previously, that is AoA's address, minus their suite number but that does not mean that they registered or own the site. The only other website listed with AoA as the organization is AllianceofAngels.com... so I highly doubt that they were the ones who registered octohub.org. The contact phone number listed above is also the contact number listed for a website (badbi.com) owned by Cody Harris. Cody Harris was the co-founder of SnapAppointments with Brock Holzer and has been friends with him since they were 6 years old according to badbi.com and codyandallison.com where Cody's upcoming marriage plans are discussed. Brock Holzer is the best man. nice! you did your homework! I think everyone should start messaging on the murraycoin thread asking bholzer to explain, I know if you message on that thread it would get taken down pretty fast by bholzer, but it would get his attention if all of us did it
let's go guys, fantastic idea!

I'd say we wait a little longer. I mean, without the promised services this coin is virtually worthless. There's nothing special about it and a few hours development won't change a thing about that. I will go down with this ship...
Of course, I won't invest a penny in octocoin from now on, but as long as the nodes are alive and bholzer hasn't shown up, there's still some hope. (after all he's responsible for murraycoin as well, very unlikely he will be lost forever) Also, "$whois octohub.org", Alliance of Angels... who knows..
|
|
|
today would be nice, after all it's the 28th OCTober
|

I believe the diff spike we saw could have been open heart surgery. Maybe it's not safe to modify node wallets when steadily blocks are coming in. But if you have a window of a few hours... Just a guess, I could be wrong

|
I'm having trouble syncing my wallet for a few hours now. Anyone else? Could this be due to maintainance from the devs?

Well, statistics teaches us that randomly clicking octo explorer transactions will likely show the wallet with the currently highest hashrate. it's this one: http://explorer.octocoin.org/address/8NQcJrZgyqJYiNXUuXtbQXn3AKufTSXqmTbut, the octo explorer somehow doen't show it EDIT: if anyone has some spare time he could try to trace back this address. if it leads to the first days/weeks it is likely the devs wallet and it means they are still mining with lots of hashrate. That address is most likely a pool address, as seen here in the link to FusionHash's wallet address. http://explorer.octocoin.org/address/8dWMopM6t8exAvGc7PQUEtrHdBwgTnktJbIt could be Edric's pool address, it could be a multipool (although i don't think any multis mine octo anymore), or it may be someone solomining (most likely) speculation leads to no good here at this point so take that as you will ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Finally, before people come on here and start spouting conspiracy theories (I'm not just talking about you, Thompson); maybe they should take some time and do a little research by reading through the entire thread. The issue of addresses mining tons of Octo has been brought up many times and there are several posts that tell the addresses' source. Maybe I just wanted to cause other people - far more intelligent than I myself could ever dream of - to tell me what they know. And it obviously worked out fine ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Since you are in the picture, when did the devs stop to throw hash at octocoin?

yet, i wonder where all the hashrate is coming from: 800-900MHs but fusionhash is empty and fedaykin close to being empty...

The funny thing is: 600000 octos wont make anyone rich right now, and are definitely not worth a few months of masquerade. And if they really wanted to, they could have easily pushed the price. Fancy faked video, faked screenshots, tweet storm, whatever. But they didn't. Quick money is not what they have in mind... but what else??
EDIT: Actually there are just three possible explanations: - They are legit, just accumulating coins and working on their projects as planned - They are legit, but the project somehow failed, be it due to personal reasons or issues with investors, or maybe the current bitcoin price scared them away - It was a well planned scam all along, though very unlikely

there will soon be the point where the devs MUST take action. Remember how fast they reacted when bittrex octo trading wasn't working? Well, no news, no trading volume, and the danger of being delisted slowly closes in. They can't allow this to happen. On the other hand: if they do, we definitely know the octopus is dead...

hahaha, whenever I see <octomon> my brain tricks me into reading <octoMOM> thats weird

alright guys, I've been wating so long here, I've forgotten what the first posts were about : )

Btw. why do all official addnode ips refer to murraycoin servers?
addnode=162.243.144.135 addnode=162.243.149.125 addnode=162.243.207.204 addnode=162.243.141.242
One of them is Fusionhash, and the others the murraycoin explorer and the murraycoin page? Whats the connection there? Why doesn't Octocoin have it's own servers?
