i guess you are pretty shocked right now.

I got my frames, but was disappointed when I saw how the standoffs were drilled improperly. The holes on the bar with 2 standoffs were literally two whole inches off, zero chance of alignment. Not only that, the delay caused me to get another set of frames instead. I have use for these, so it's not the end of the world, and the frame itself isn't bad at all, well thought out. But even with EMS shipping it took 2 months to get here. On top of that, I need to redrill the standoff holes. If I had to grade the whole experience, I'd have to give it a 5...out of 10. Especially because I had to put in manual labor for something that should fit from the get-go.

Did you figure this out? I have this problem in Win7 x64 as well. 6 R9 290x, only able to get 3 running. Anything more than 3, randomly selected it seems, will throw Error -4.

I resorted to using BAMT and that worked well. But I really want to use some modified BIOS that only work with 13.12 WHQL drivers, something that the linux distro can't provide.

Thanks for the link. My 290x is a reference design, so perhaps it could be due to the memory manufacturer. I'll give the BIOS a shot.

Hi all. I've just started mining on my first mining rig. It has 3x ASUS R9 290x (so far), running BAMT 1.3. Below are my cgminer.conf settings:

With this setup, each card is churning out an average of 800Kh/s, with approximately 5% failure rate, which is pretty sad considering that overclocked 280's can do that much. More importantly, I'm already overclocking the memory; if I run it at standard clocks, the hash rate drops to a mere 670

I've tried tuning the engine/memory clocks, lowering/raising thread-concurrency, changing worksize, but nothing seems to be working. Don't mind the fan speed - it's in a 24/7 air-conditioned room, so it's hovering around 80C despite not using full fan. If I raise either engine or memory clock from its current 1000/1500 state, it starts becoming very unstable. Are ASUS 290x cards that poor when it comes to churning out hashes? Or am I tuning it incorrectly somehow? Any help would be highly appreciated.
