There is nothing surprising about this. Cryptos always rise and drop. The rise was quite sudden, so investors acted quick.

It's all about the risk. New coins carry a higher risk for a  possible higher return.

I think it doesn't matter if it's old or new. Always the quality is the main factor. There are many bad "old" coins, and there are also good new coins.

However you already know the old coins. For new coins only time can tell.
