Does megacoin even have as much hashing power as litecoin or DOGE, both of which are rather borderline themselves due to their inability to be merged mined together fragmenting the scrypt space?

I have been waiting for a week like this for a long time
there were too many crapcoins out there that ought to have died long ago.
and here's this week's list: (on cryptmarketcap.com 7day price% drop >25%)
NXT -33.15%
Aurora -88.0% (whoa, gameover man)
Quark -26.0% Just keeps sliding since mined out.
Vertcoin -26.7% Was a fake pump, and everyone knew it.
Primecoin -33.6% How it is still here already is a good question.
Megacoin -30.0% about time this monkey show dies. KGW recently proven inferior.
YBcoin - 28.41% This is a china coin, guess I never get to know it.
Spaincoin -64.2% Another Joke that ought to have dispersed before it started.
If you still have any of the above, you probably best off switching to a coin that have hope.
I have my list of hopeful coins, but I know no one agrees to that. (which is fair)
though the drop of the above list is for all to see, and to be honest, an investment that can drop 25% in 7 days?

We ALL KNOW that every single coin that's just a clone of Litecoin is going straight to zero and there's absolutely nothing that you can do about it. The dynamics of the PoW system might not even be able to securely support TWO coins with identical hashing algorithms, let alone 5000. We all know what those two contender coins for generic Scrypt are gonna be, LITECOIN AND DOG COIN.
Even mentioning the name Worldcoin at all is like worrying about what's going to happen to a dinner napkin on the deck of the Titanic.

ASIC is a means to a result. If you want to be specific, then maybe you can say "current gen of Asic doesn't get DRAM added" though, 1, DRAM solution is there. 2, there are many beyond-GPU solutions which brings to the same point. N-scrypt, doesn't innovate anything at all. kinda useless. |

Yeah because a network secured by gpu is going to go places right! cmon scrypt n is just for the miners chasing the dragon still...how about we start really innovating and learning to use the ledger..we already have enough currency type coins! you guys will go and go and go diluting the markets with you gpu cpu coins untill one day they are all worth 0 because thats all everyone is doing is chasing 100% profit all day long and not really contributing to any innovation
It is clear that people don't care about securing networks and creating something that works and is efficient and uses little to no power people want money untill it drys up and they will move on
leaving people who contributed to asic and proper innovation to prosper long into the future

i haven't got into the scrypt N coins yet but to put 2GB ram (i would guess you mean sram, not external dram) in one 55nm ASIC is impossible (QFN) at this stage (unless using BGA with a humongous sized chip like the CPU or GPU). it's because ram itself takes huge amount of space. however if you are opting for 16nm and BGA, it might be a good bet but considering the kind of money you have to put into design and development as well as the yield, it's way less economical comparing to gpu.
using fpga and dram is a fine alternative for now.

N-scrypt is not worth it at all, there's no such thing as ASIC resistance, people should jsut get use to that already. Look at Bitcoin and where it got it. (skyrocketing) when ASIC comes out, suddenly, N-scrypt coins will have the lowest hashrate of the entire world. and unless a coin comes out with a really good network, it will just be thrown away completely. Indeed, the keyword there is YIELD. As of right now, there's no reason to add it, but it will be added if ever there are more coins with N-scrypt. also : using fpga and dram is a fine alternative for now.Indeed DRAM is possible and practical, and makes N-scrypt kinda pointless. |

Some coins like Vertcoin requires a pump to survive. Pump without development is just a waste of money.
