I understand the points you are making about the OP_Return issue, but I think you are phrasing your arguments in an non conciliatory manner. I think its fine if a decision is not made to increase OP_RETURN to 80 bytes, however I think some of the arguments made against this are inappropriate and analyse Bitcoin in too much of a narrow way.
A core advantage of Bitcoin is that clients accept transactions as long as it meets the requirements, nothing more, nothing less. All transactions, whoever sent them, whatever the purpose, once in a block are treated equal. It doesn't matter if the data in the transaction is a genuine financial transaction, a political message about a Times newspaper headline in 2009, a Christian prayer, a hash of a document being used as a notary service or anything else. If this principal is lost, Bitcoin is weaker, less useful, less flexible and less likely to succeed. What Bitcoin allows is innovation without permission and new alternative uses that nobody has even thought of yet. This could go far beyond just financial transactions.
I understand many are concerned about the data storage requirements of those running full nodes and network capacity issues. This is of course a genuine problem. However I think its wrong to think that some data is more important than other data or has more of a right to be in the blockchain. Some new protocols may have alternative implementation methods that take up less data in the blockchain. If possible, lets try to implement these protocols in this way. However ultimately, Bitcoin needs to be free and open and all users and protocol developers have the right to be able to use Bitcoin in whichever way they wish. When kindly asking people to modify their protocols to take up less space, we should recognize this principal.
Many thanks
More clueless clowns with their worthless 2 cents, this is EXACTLY what XCP needs. Keep it coming, please.

The thing I really got from all these discussions is that Bitcoin is controlled by 12 miners. This is scary and is opposite to the decentralized nature. I guess when big money comes in greed overrules everything and power grab happens.
If that's what you got from it, then you're either assuming that a majority of people would do things differently (unlikely), or that Bitcoin being controlled by 12 developers is somehow better (no thanks)... Luke will you shut the fuck up? If your not gonna listen to what the community wants, then get out of this thread. You've sounded nothing short of a arrogant prick in all your posts. If you don't like Counterparty, close the door on your way out. What a clown. XCP is 100% dependent of BTC. Keep biting the hand feeding you, this is the only proper thing to do, you are right. Don't come here crying once the value of XCP is 0 because of arrogant, clueless bozos like you.

Realistically, I don't think this is going to help at this stage. I agree. what do you think will? Your mom, if she can code.

Can anyone tell me what happened in the last three days here? Any reason for the recent little price drop? What about something like this http://www.nxtcoins.nl/50-2/ for Counterparty? And another, more general question regarding the DEX: Can I atm only trade BTC to XCP on there or more? Let's say n the future there will be more con (LTC for example) can I then, after I bought LTC with BTC on the DEX, withdraw those LTC into my LTC wallet? You have at least one working eye, an internet connection, and you can hopefully click on the pages on top. People are so lazy nowadays, incredible. It's just difficult to monitor NXT, Counterparty and all the other projects closely at the same time... If this is too difficult for you, just sell everything, and get back playing with your Barbie dolls... People are incredible, you must be French to complain that much.

I think that the ability of getting XCP with proof-of-burn should be postponed to the time when there will be a stable client.
Are you high ? Or are you sending this from a time machine from beginning of January 2014

So one day in the near future, maybe 2 - 5 years out, when 1% - 5% of online transactions take place in Bitcoin, and 1% - 5% of the stock market has moved to Counterparty, I think it becomes obvious that pretty quickly it will no longer be feasible to run your own node that actually keeps the entire blockchain. Anyone have any thoughts on that ?
2 - 5 years out ? Wow. Just try to tell us the price of BTC and XCP in 6 months from now, and let's all laugh (or not) end of September... You lost me. You are thinking of what will happen in 2 - 5 years, while no one can predict what will happen in just 6 months time.

i am coming! i suggest xcp team use MXCP for Unit NOW。especially the net Wallet。like Mantissa pricing, this is Scientific research and then it seem like more Bargaining chip for Issuance of asset and more people like buy it because it seem so cheap like dogecoin if 1.3 usd can buy 0.1XCP and 100MXCP ,i think you will choose 100mXCP because 100 look so comfortably then 0.1
Foresight XCP will have a bright future. 2,648,496 is such a small quantity. i think we should use mXCP as default unit from now on. As a possible newbie coin-buyer, judging strictly from the chart action, is this coin dead? Yes it is, go post somewhere else, thanks.

Well, investment wise, the price should be alot lower, due to recent news i'm a believer which is why i am willing to pay for a large amount, however i wouldn;t go so far as to say that its not a rocky boat, however its just speculation
and thats my buy offer,
Due to recent news ? No one knows about XCP, and only a handful of people are reading this thread. This is not like the China hoax for banning BTC a few days ago. You know, fake news with REAL impact... Welcome to the real world. The world would be a better place without vultures like you though...

Assets name why can not start with "A"?
You might want to get a dictionary, or learn how to make a proper full sentence first before posting, thanks.

Wow if anything kills Bitcoin, its gonna be the devs.
They are restricting innovation on the platform, even with a good way to handle this situation using OP_RETURN 80 bytes.
More innovation on Bitcoin = more widespread use of Bitcoin = higher security of blockchain
vs
less innovation on Bitcoin = less use of Bitcoin platform = less security for projects like msc, xcp. Which are innovative, with non-hostile intentions
Even if cityglut told me to stop posting, I can't just sit down while watching XCP falling apart. Having 200 non technical people trying to protect their 2 burnt BTC insulting the BTC devs and adding their irrelevant 2 cents is the way to go, definitely. Back to reality, no one from the core devs has been consulted, and they can get rid of the 'XCP parasite' in one commit if they want. It was an interesting project, with talented devs, but the greed and overall retardness of the so called 'community' on top of the terrible lack of communication in general was the last nail in the coffin. Time to dump until the news spreads, and move to something else. Thanks for the five folds profit. Hopefully Ether or whatever will make things right, control their community, and have a clear communication with all people involved.

Can't wait to get all Web wallety.
Will the web wallet affect the XCP price in positive way? At first probably not, lots of dumping but then longer term near certainly. I think most would agree. Why not a minimum XCP balance, say 1 XCP, be imposed on web wallet to support XCP price? Your very insightful financial comments are teaching us so much. Please tell us more. 61 useful comments so far. idiot alert. Community has a lot to learn from this guinea pig Who is the idiot here ? The clown asking for something that no one can tell ? If we knew what the future is like, we would all be living la vida loca on some tropical island with tons of bitches. With your huge financial background, can you explain to us, simple minded people, how on earth having web wallets with 1 XCP is supposed to support the price in any way ? I am waiting for the master demonstration. Also, since you mentioned *guinea pig*, you might want to go through this thread a little bit more. I was not part of the greedy guinea pigs crying after the poloniex hack, asking the impossible for the devs, and so on. So please, keep your genius' comments / questions for you, you are just completely clueless and worthless, thanks. Let me do some impersonation : Oh, and do you know the next lottery winning numbers ? <- This is you, a clown. (I had to explain, since you don't get simple things apparently) No, the official Bozo of the community cant understand this simple financial logic. This is not for you. Just keep doing your idiotic Bozo job Thanks for mentioning I am a Bozo. From the master clown himself, it means a lot.

Ether iPo is out or it's pre of presale? Tired of these scumbags
Just WOW, once again. The greedy guinea pigs are everywhere. First of all, why are you complaining like a french girl here ? Does it look like we are at http://forum.ethereum.org/ ? Next, *scumbags* ? What have they done ? How much of your hard earned money as a pizza delivery boy did they steal from you ? Probably 0... Finally, you are *tired* Tired of what ? Sitting on your ass, and wait until magic internet money's value increase 100 folds ? If you are not happy, why don't you launch your own coin ? Retarded beggars can't be choosers. What a clown...
