21st Mar 2018 13:43:05 there was BLOCK NUMBER 1 , Bitcoin Monster was born.
This coming month we will have our 1 year anniversary. A lot has happened the past year. Crypto went from bull to a deep bear market, and like all alt coins also MON suffered. But at the end of 2018 MON showed some good strength, the price became very stable and miners came in which made our chain strong and stable.
But, although our developers tried to do some great developing (think of our MonsterLab), our progress was not very fast. For a large part, family health problems were and are responsible for this. But here we are with a new announcement. Things are going to change and in the short term.
1. First, we want to announce that the MN collateral change is actually being set in motion. We are currently working on this and we hope to be able to provide a fixed date for the collateral change shortly. The Monsterlab needs to be sustainable over the long term and calculations are being done as to the new MN collateral amount. The masternode expiry issue is also hopefully being addressed.
2. Secondly, we have been working to find masternode hosting services willing to re-enter MON on their platform. ihostmn.com is the first to add MON again, we hope to be able to announce more than one in the very short term. Ihost have been informed of the pending collateral change and are on standyby to adjust.
3. Due to these coding amendments we need to temporarily suspend MonsterLab transactions. All current stakes still remain, of course, and just serve their time. But to make the collateral change and other changes work well, it is better to temporarily disable new stakes. As soon as our new masternode collateral is online and other minor changes have been made, we will activate MonsterLab for re-use.
4. Finally, we want to announce that we are working on a new discord bot which we also want to have online in the very near future. This already has over 40,000 users and already on 645 servers.
We thank everyone who has remained loyal to us over the past few months, the coming weeks we will work very hard as a team to get everything done before our 1st birthday.
