1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin trading on: April 17, 2019, 03:23:20 PM
Recently, taking into account the downtrend of the crypto-currency market, margin trading has become popular. What is the first thing you should pay attention to in this area? What materials should be studied before starting?

Before margin trading, a trader should clearly understand how to calculate margin and know the difference between the required margin and available margin before entering a position. The reason for this is that it’s generally not recommended to open a position while utilizing maximum available leverage, otherwise, the trade is a risk of being stopped out prematurely if the market moves in the opposite direction.

I margin trade with PrimeXBT which has an inbuilt exposure limit which is set by the risk management to help protect both you and the platform itself from loss.  But even so, you should always leave yourself with a buffer in case you wish to modify your position.

As well, anyone who intends to trade with high leverage on margin needs to be fully aware of the increased risk and understand market trends. This isn’t to say don’t do it, rather, be prepared with a clear exit strategy in case things go wrong - setting a predetermined stop-loss and never invest more than you can afford to lose (as always).

SWM - Swarm Masternodes have an excellent, highly profitable, and scalable business model. Most profitable for the first year of masternode operators.

4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which bitcoin exchange do you use on: April 04, 2019, 12:27:48 PM
In 2019 I'm using...

Binance: for basic buy low - sell high trading in bullish markets. It's got awesome liquidity, a wide range of crypto markets, and reliable.

Prime XBT: for day trading with high leverage (up to 100x) + long and shorting options in bearish and sideways trending markets.  It's got a clear interface and instant, reliable order processing.

A neat clean UI is important to me, and both have a great workspace and offer the lowest fees also... Binance 0.1% on all trades (less than 40k) and a further 25% off that if you use the BNB coin. Prime XBT is 0.05% on all trades and all assets.

If I had to pick a third... I think I’d try OkEX because they now offer 5x leverage and have high liquidity (but I haven't used it so can't recommend first hand).
5  Economy / Exchanges / Thoughts on the QuadrigaCX CEO suspicious death??? on: March 29, 2019, 12:31:57 PM
Anyone here a victim of the QuadrigaCX scandal? The series of events seem all too suspicious and convenient that soooo much money could not be retrieved. Do you think his death is legitimate even?  Are there any updates on this story or has it been swept under the rug already?

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / New Bitcoin Movie ‘Crypto’ Shows Hollywood’s Total Misguidedness on: March 29, 2019, 12:13:00 PM
"It can be said that any publicity is good publicity for the world’s largest cryptocurrency and the entire industry in general, that’s true. In reality though, building the story of the film around a stale and over-worn trope thats been the go-to talking point for media since the inception of cryptocurrency, displays exactly how broken the idea of what Bitcoin is within the general public today."

I've always been a Binance guy but recently been using Prime XBT to trade with leverage as a way to keep profiting in the sideways market.  They only launched early this year and already average around $100M in 24-hour trading volume and increasing.

I still rate Binance as the best exchange for more volatile markets and bull runs, but over time have learned the benefits using different trading platforms for different strategies and PrimeXBT is ideal for bear and flat trending markets with the possibility to trade short and use up to 100x leverage to magnify small price actions.

Binance fees are very low at 0.1% on all trades and discounts further 25% off if you use the native BNB coin. Primexbt fees are even lower at only 0.05% on all trades and available assets - but keep in mind this fee is applied to the price after leverage has increased the position size. Still awesome though, because if you were making the same size trade on a standard exchange you would incur the same or more commission fees but with far more capital on the line.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally trade Litecoin with 100x leverage + no KYC on: March 05, 2019, 04:31:08 PM
It is not about just knowing about an exchange but the validity of that exchange, many persons in this space has lost a lot of money to some exchange who carelessly refused to take the security of their exchange serious and ended up losing a lot of users money to hackers which we are not even sure if what has been done where truly carried out by hackers or the owners of the exchange themselves.

We need the owners of the exchange to give us a reason why we should put our money there for trading instead of using already existing platform.

100% I agree, new exchanges (any exchanges really) need to be approached with caution.  As far as I can tell though there is nothing less valid about them as any other...?  at some point you've gotta give new players a chance. The now leading exchanges were new once and even some of the most legitimate and respected exchanges like mt gox and poloniex have been compromised... Like I said though I am yet to be convinced and I think that will come with time, and also gauging other community members perspectives, which is why I posted about them here and am keen to hear others opinions.  Maybe they will see red flags I don't, or maybe they think it's great...?!?

I'm down with no KYC - Mt Gox and Quadriga both required KYC and did not do much good for them!
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Finally trade Litecoin with 100x leverage + no KYC on: March 04, 2019, 01:15:04 PM
There's a new solid looking crypto trading platform that offers as much as 100x leverage on Litecoin, as well as the other top 5 ranked assets (BTC, ETH, XRP, EOS).

It's called PrimeXBT and features various advanced trading strategies and order types which are not yet provided enough in the crypto space.

For example: short positions, OCO and stop-loss orders, and anonymous trading with no KYC.

The UI is customizable and ultra smooth also, really enjoyable to use.  They only launched last month so it has a ways to go in order to prove they're legit and earn the trust of the industry... but on the upside is you don't need to deposit much because with such high leverage it allows you to hold larger positions than you could've ordinarily held on other exchanges.

What do you think ??
