any news on vega hashrate drops?

Very interested in this too. Seems that straps not working anymore.

My x5Vegas56 works at around 42.5mhs for now on ETH (852mhz800mv 930mhz/800mv) and x3 rx574 around 29.2 mhs on ETC (1150mhz810mv 2225mhz810mv). whatever i do rxboost on or off nothing changes but straps worked for Vegas (PM sure with admin rights). It was 44+mhs on these settings and it was really great because after lots of tuning my 8gpu rig takes only 1150watt for 300mhs.

I use 2 .bat files. one for Vega56 on ETH and second for rx570 on ETC on same system (windows 10) looks stable enough. No leak of hashrate but less ETH. Still more profitable I think.

For all who don`t know how to calculate energy consumption - just add up all the indicators with the watt "W" sign for each card in the HWinfo. I compared results with hardware meter and it shows same numbers.

Have no idea how it possible to squeeze 50+mhs from Vega56 on showed upper settings. I can`t try Linux because one of my vega56 shows only 54CUs and Linux cant recognize it correctly, but on windows seems it is impossible or it will be very unstable and too hot on 200+watts for GPU.

something is really messed up right now, i just noticed that i can't open hwinfo while my gpus are running, the rig crashes

edit: i switched to simple mining, the hashrate is back where it should be Smiley

Hy,

I'm new at Phoenix, Hashrate is lower than on claymore but it works. So I try for dual mining, but didn't get a hashrate on the secand coin.
Copy the command line from the readme for dual mining and added my adresses.
Any tips, thx

What are you trying to dual mine....some coins like zil only mine for a short period every few hours.

Hi,

Blake2s

ETH on ethermine.org ETH, Blake2s on Nicehash:
      PhoenixMiner.exe -pool ssl://eu1.ethermine.org:5555 -pool2 ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal YourEthWalletAddress.WorkerName -proto 3 -dpool blake2s.eu.nicehash.com:3361 -dwal YourBtcWalletAddress -dcoin blake2s

B2S New Jobs getting in but speed is always zero. ETH Speed is on 39MH/s on vega 56, with claymore it was 41.That's OK for me and it looks stable.
thx

Wondering if its NH that is giving the issue.  Have you tried a Black2s pool instead of NH?  Even if just to confirm/deny its NH.

As for Vega 56 on PM im getting 47.76mhs on one and 49.21mhs  on another.  (first one is a rev 1 vega but both are air boost).  Wattage is around 0.812mv so about 115watts
core 1003 / mem 940 on mmpos Smiley

could you share full details on your settings?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.3b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: December 02, 2020, 07:21:35 PM
windows 10 version 2004
amd driver 20.3.1
latest phoenix miner
two rigs both with 2 radeon VIIs

at dag switch to 379 both rigs went from 83 mHash per card to 75 mhash per card
the gt value was 50 on all cards
so re-ran phoenix and got new gt value of 6
but cards only recovered to 80.5 mhash

so the radeon VIIs have lost a little hash.
there was defintely some weirdness at dag switch over.
would love to get those missing hashes back. is driver 20.3.1 the problem??
great work phoenix . thank you for your time sorting these issues for us all.

same things with vegas, we have to wait on phoenix Smiley

hopefully he resolves it soon

Hello guys, i lost almost 2 MH/s per Vega 56 flashed to 64 last night..

What seems to be the problem?

Tried with phoenix 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3.. getting 46.9 on all three, went from 48.9

does anyone have a similar problem ?

Hello,

remove -gt ... setting from your config file.

i don't have -gt in my .bat

they are set to autotune :/

Hello, any luck solving this problem i also lost almost 3 mh/s per card.. i got 8 X vega 64 rig. And btw non of the straps commands work i am getting either EIO.dll and/or IOMap64.sys errors. Anyone has a solution for vega 64 timings? My driver is 20.4.2

thanks a lot

i think it has something to do with the new epoch, we will have to wait for phoenix to solve the problem, probably with the miner update..

i notice the dag generates a loooot slower since this morning

as for the straps, i am using memtool, i am not using strap commands

i tried every setting possible and it keeps saying the same stuff on both of my vega 56 and 64 rigs.. i think the problem lies in something else, not the clocks and voltage

I switched my V64s back to stock 1630/1200/945/1100 and so far so good this morning.  It appears the P3 is more important than the P7.

I tried GKumaran's and my V64s immediately crashed.  Just wondering if anyone else had any numbers that may help in avoiding the reinvention of the wheel.

However with lolminer, that Watchdog reboot.bat file is a really good idea and I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong in getting that to work as explained above.

it is unreal that c31 is more memory intensive than i.e. ETH, i find that really hard to believe, it is something with the miner, the dev should look into it
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 0.9.2 - Grin-31 on AMDs (especially Vegas) made profitable (Dec 8) on: December 09, 2019, 01:57:09 PM
I'm using Windows and Vega 56/64 rigs with the latest drivers running lolminer 0.9.2 however on either of my rigs I will randomly get a GPU that says "Stuck device detected, invoking emergency script."

Then the next line down says:
'.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I did find a reboot.bat file and I tried adding a line:
shutdown.exe /r /t 10

Same response as above.  Is there somewhere that I need to enable this rather handy watchdog feature, or is there certain syntax that needs to be used?

As for the error, I'm wondering if my P3/P7 are off.  I'm having a heck of a time with adjusting as these cards can absorb electricity at stock, wow.  I did quite well with tweaking for XMR but G31 appears to be different.

V56 x8 (onsite)
P7 = 1350 / 890
P3 = 950 / 800
Power Target = -50%
Result: 0.7g/s per GPU

V64 x4 (offsite)
P7 = 1408 / 925
P3 = 945 / 1000
Power Target = 10%
Result: 1g/s per GPU

Any assistance and knowledge would be appreciated, thank you.

Hah, it works. Thanks for the tips for getting it to start properly.

Started with todxx's timings and yup, went from ~19.5 to 21.3+. Nice. I'll take that. Let's leave it for a while and see if it can sustain the timings in the long run.

I had the same problem getting it to start. How did you get it to work? I tried running under admin, still not working.
Go to the properties of the exe file and set it to start as admin (iirc). Then make a bat file with your parameters.

It might still only flash on your screen when you run it, but the timings are actually applied.

Got it. Thanks! The screen flashes in an instant. Any ideas how to get a readout from --current?

all you have to do is open cmd as admin and navigate to the folder where your memtweak is located

that would be:

cd path to folder

once you got into the folder, you just type in WinAMDTweak.exe --current

and how do i roll back to the stock timings, just reinstall the drivers or ?

Ouch!  That would be an awful process Shocked

Simply restart the machine.  Or save the output of --current before applying custom timings, then reapply those saved values when you want to revert.

On windows, disable/enable via device manager or one of the similar tools may do the trick, but I haven't tried...

disable/enable does nothing i think, i forgot to save the stock timings.. i hope the reinstall will do the trick xd

edit: it does revert to stock timings Smiley

Hi!

For everyone testing modded mem timings for CN using TeamRedMiner:

TRM v0.4.4 is released on GitHub (https://github.com/todxx/teamredminer/releases).

The release contains a new *-mode specifically targeted towards Vega GPUs with modded mem timings and running normal CN variants (not Turtle). It’s the new default mode for Vegas.

The release also contains a new tuning guide with recipes for Vegas. Using it we can produce seriously sexy hashrates on all Vegas without increasing core clock above 1407 MHz (CN/r: 2440 h/s V64, 2250 h/s V56@64, 2130 h/s 56 Hynix).

The release will be in alpha state for a few hours before we post in our Bitcointalk topic, if anyone has the chance to take it for a spin, please do so and let us know your CN/r results.

Cheers, K
Nice, from 1.75 to 2.03 kh/s increase for cn/r from 0.4.3 to 0.4.4. vega56 hynix 1200/940@775mv (gpu-z shown clocks and voltage) Same timings

How about power? How many watts?
I don't know, 98watt gpu power in gpu-z. The same as trtl with 0.4.3
config 16*16 doesn't work for my vegas64 and 19.4.1 drivers. 14*14 config is ok and I'm getting 2.33kh/s (1300/1090@825mv 120 watt gpu-z )

can you post your overdrive settings? ty

and how do i roll back to the stock timings, just reinstall the drivers or ?
