I second this!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICN] iCoin - On Swisscex, C-Cex, Bittrex exchange on: August 08, 2014, 09:45:02 PM
I will donate 30k ICN to the new dev team

one of the marketing team members here, from the Jan/Feb/March timeframe.

I don't have much ICN, but I would donate some to a new dev team.    I read these posts and just smh.   Something w/ so much potential, derailed by a crappy dev.

Looks like Coinmarket.io might end up being a scam exchange , I would also be very weary of Poloniex... trade and get your funds off ASAP.  Cryptorush and swisscex appear to be ok!

Bittrex is a great Exchange.  We know the founders, their background comes from security professionals (Qualys, Amazon, Blackberry).  iCoin has an affiliate link to register an account, which helps gauge where the referring traffic is coming from.  PLEASE GO HERE:  http://bittrex.com/?af_id=Q9u14VA2  and register an account.   Bittrex has a clean UI, and seems like they have the best shot (security speaking here) so far.

Thank you to everyone who is now helping with mintpal.com voting.  Its helping alot!  We gained knowledge of it last week at around 250.  Took us a week to get to 575.  Now in a day we are just at 700.  If we can keep this up, and recruit some family and friends, we will have this one won in no time.

Videos look nice.  I like video 1, although people might think DEERcoin changed its name to iCoin.  Ha ha.  just kidding.  All are good.  font in video 3 could be cleaner.  Video 2 would be awesome, extended a bit, but its obviously going to be the logo reveal for future longer videos, and it will be a very nicely made intro.  Kudos to whoever is putting these together!

Great convo going up above. Interesting to what happened with you info. Smiley

Regarding Coinpayments, Klondike and Panda are busy pumping the votes now, so a few more votes should secure our place on coinpayments which ends in 90 minutes.

https://www.coinpayments.net/vote-thanks

FYI - I wrote the coinpayments team about the IOCoin having suspiciously high votes in a small amount of time (their last mention on twitter was Oct '12, very old coin with an un-successful re-launch in '12 as well) and their response was this:

"Yep, it seems with every vote the cheating happens more and more. There
are going to be a lot of anti-cheating checks before the final results are
announced.

Thanks,
CoinPayments.net"

So it looks like we may finish in top 3 or 4 once they verify the voting was accurate and fair.  I have also been speaking with merchants quite a bit, and some have reached out to Coinpayments (because thats how they transact crypto) and requested iCoin to be added.  We have some new merchants we will be announcing next week.  Stay Tuned.

Fantastic work Smiley

Looks like the final totals have been updated. Everyone got knocked down a bit, but at least our faux competitors are gone, leaving the real top 3.

Position   Coin Name     Votes
1st   PND   PandaCoin      79
2nd   KDC   KlondikeCoin   64
3rd   ICN   iCoin              46

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICN] iCoin launches geticoin.com - KGW and new Wallet update! on: February 22, 2014, 04:19:07 PM
Icoin will take off soon, plenty of indicators around here and there, i can smell it in the air Smiley

Best thing about this coin is that there was no unnecessary hype and that everybody had plenty of time to join in, gotta love the way devs handled the launch without precipitation Smiley

Thanks for the kind words luckyenough, and yes - all facets of iCoin are looking up right now Smiley Everyone please be patient with us as our marketing strategy is a bit peculiar. We are placing a higher emphasis on getting a lot of wallet downloads and a lot of merchants acquired. We want to set a foundation in place that will be more conducive for everyday commerce. We don't wish to launch on any large exchanges (Cryptsy in particular) until we have a substantial user base built. This will add stability to iCoin and let it shine as it's intended to, as opposed to making it a prime candidate for manipulation early in the game. I'm going to keep a couple big announcements to myself until we have details set in stone, but just know that the btctalk forums will continue to be some of the most heavily updated area for all iCoin announcements. We greatly look forward to growing with you!

Lucky & NR - yes we are working hard from the street to get merchants, and other interests/partnerships.  We appreciate your words of encouragement. Continue to let us know the positive (and even negative) sides, so we can use that when promoting the brand.   -  JG
