hey guys, i'm runing Linux BAMT 1.5.2 with the djm34-x11mod. I have one Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X Toxic non-OC (4gb) and three Sapphire R9 280X Tri-X Toxic OC's (3gb) in the same rig and i'm not sure why the 290X only does ~3500kh/s when the 280X's are running at 3325kh/s each.
djm34-x11mod.conf is as follows:
"kernel" : "x11mod", "intensity" : "21", "xintensity" : "0", "rawintensity" : "0", "gpu-threads" : "1,2,2,2", "lookup-gap" : "0", "thread-concurrency" : "30464,22336,22336,22336", "shaders" : "2560,2048,2048,2048", "gpu-engine" : "1000,1175,1175,1175", "gpu-memclock" : "1500,1600,1600,1600", "gpu-fan" : "0-75", "gpu-memdiff" : "0", "gpu-powertune" : "0", "gpu-vddc" : "0.000", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "gpu-platform" : "0", "auto-fan" : true, "auto-gpu" : true, "temp-target" : "70", "temp-overheat" : "80", "temp-cutoff" : "90", "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "no-submit-stale" : true, "no-pool-disable" : true, "failover-only" : true, "failover-switch-delay" : "60", "queue" : "1", "scan-time" : "7", "shares" : "0", "tcp-keepalive" : "30", "expiry" : "28", "log" : "5", "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin", "api-listen" : true, "api-mcast-port" : "4028", "api-port" : "4028", "api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1"
any input would be great because i should be getting quite a bit more out of the 290X from what i've been reading/trying on here.

i'm having a little trouble getting my Sapphire R9 tri-x 280x Toxic over the 300kh/s mark. i'm running bamt 1.3 modded with vertminer 0.5.4pre2 .conf looks like this: "auto-fan" : "true", "intensity" : "13,20", "vectors" : "1", "worksize" : "256,512", "kernel" : "scrypt", "lookup-gap" : "2", "thread-concurrency" : "8191,27000", "shaders" : "0", "api-port" : "4028", "expiry" : "120", "gpu-dyninterval" : "7", "gpu-platform" : "0", "gpu-threads" : "2,1", "gpu-engine" : "1100,1000", "gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500", "gpu-powertune" : "-20,20", "log" : "5", "no-pool-disable" : true, "queue" : "1", "scan-time" : "60", "scrypt" : true, "shares" : "0", "kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"
the second parameters are for the sapphire R9 290x Tri-X (non-OC) which runs at 490kh/s no problem. i've tried changing the TC/ENG?MEM up and down, trying different stuff i've read on here, but it really doesn't even make any difference.

got it sorted, running bamt 1.3 getting ~750 from the 280x and ~950 from the 290x 0.085% returns total.

So i was running 2 sapphire R9 280X Tri-x OC's and one of them died after i undervolted it to 1.087mv (the other one was fine but put it back to 1.093 just incase). so since i have to RMA it cause it was a week after the store 15 day direct exchange, it'll be gone for about month+ according to althon. So i started looking for another 280x cause i was gonna run 3 eventually once i got my risers and another pci-e cable from corsair. i couldn't find anything at a decent price that would be worth it so i stopped by the place i got the rest of the rig from and they had an open box sapphire R9 290x Tri-X so i figured why not spend the difference.
so i get everything up and running and the 290x runs about 925kh/s but my remaining 280x dropped down to under 600kh/s. Before the 290x in bamt i was getting 750kh/s from each of the 280x's with like 1-2% returns tops.
i put it back into win8 and cgminer is doing the same thing only about 5% lower on both cards (which is why i was running bamt). config looks like this in win8:
timeout /t 30 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 COLOR 0A cgminer --scrypt -I 13,20 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192,25601 --gpu-engine 1080,950 --gpu-memclock 1500 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u xxxxx -p xxxxx
I can run the TC at 32765 in bamt but if i try that in win8 it hangs the card and gets disabled,

Sapphire Tri-X R9 280X (SKU : 11221-08-40G) VOLTAGE LOCKED!
VBE7, modify the legacy BIOS no error, but it can't even reopen it, ERROR! Of course system hangs with the modified BIOS.
This card is terrible for mining. It draws 450 W at stock voltage. On the box, it said use 750 W for one card. I am stuck with 3 of this KW hungry monsters!
i just flashed my 2 Sapphire 280x Toxics using VBE7, i flashed the UEFI bios though (press the button near the crossfire connector so it lights up blue), not the legacy, works fine both cards stable at ~750kh/s each @ 1.1v. I might try dropping the voltage further, but pretty happy with the results at 1.1v also my whole system was only drawing ~525w running windows off an SSD, might be lower now that i'm running linux bamt 1.3 off a USB 3.0 drive. My PSU is a Corsair AX860i, mobo is asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 with a Sempron 145 CPU. the hardware comparison guide says they only draw 253w eac, and that's about what i'm seeing, not sure what's up with your system.
