1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt Gox is dead. on: February 26, 2014, 08:16:04 AM
Karpeles fears for his life.

Many Silk Road users invested in Gox.

They will not take this lying down.

I believe, he will try everything possible to resurrect.

And in case you don't understand...yes, you were trading with non-existent and fake virtual bitcoins ?tokens?. They were never really on the exchange...apparently.

That's not strictly true. The Bitcoins traded were real bitcoins from user accounts that people had deposited on GOX. The exchanges ability to provide solvency for those Bitcoins is something else entirely and something that's open to wide speculation.

Truth be told no one knows anything.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dozens of Blocks of 100 Gox BTC listed on BitconBuilder? on: February 25, 2014, 01:15:08 AM
Karpeles can use his cold wallet bitcoins anywhere he pleases, why would he sell them at a fraction of the price.

I don't get most people clutching at straws and trying to make something out of nothing.

Mark Karpeles is nothing short of incompetent, all the other crap being said is just exaggeration based on made up speculation.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We know Gox is dead. How many user's BTC does Gox hold? on: February 24, 2014, 06:57:22 PM
It's £850 that I can live without so anything will be a bonus.

Gox allows FIAT withdrawals so I can always take that.

To answer the OP I have started on Gox with £850 Thursday and thanks to the high volatility have worked my way up to 31.7 Bitcoins or £3233 in GoxFIAT or a whopping £11090 if I ever get my BTC out or Gox restores function.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to deposit USD from OKPAY to MtGox? on: February 24, 2014, 04:14:28 PM
I was able to deposit via OKPay, albeit in GBP twice this week.

I had that error once when I was logged out, maybe try deleting cookies or start a fresh browser session (or use Internet Explorer for example)

Hope this helps.

As I said, huge testicles are a must...

I am from the UK.

I Deposited £850 on Gox this past week and this was through OKPay. It took few hours.

You need to verify your OKPay account (will take few minutes if you pay $10 for express verification) and then deposit into it.

The easiest and fastest way to deposit into OKPay is with LTC and BTC. I basically converted some of my altcoins into LTC and BTC and transferred it to OKPay.

I also bought 1 BTC from Bitbargain (have to be verified there too!).

I bought bitcoins at £72 and sold at £190 and have just bought again today at £84. My £850 has so far made me 26.5 bitcoins.

Even if I don't get a single penny back, it was well worth the risk considering a 1000% possible ROI.

Mtgox right now, is only for people with huge balls!

Having said that, don't risk what you can't afford to lose.
