How does a masternode holder participate in the governance model? Voting is the easy part on Nexus but really no details on what the proposal is about. You mentioned an official site? Could you maybe share that and hopefully it has information on past proposals. The last round of monthly proposals had a deadline of 14th of June; if it's truly monthly wouldn't the next round be due by next week?

You mentioned adding weight. NRG is currently the lowest price entry ever and might help make the VPS cost closer to being sustainable. What am I gaining? Certainly if more weight had an impact on proposal voting it could be of interest. Simply; if we're able to vote but no information is shared it makes one of the key "pillars" moot for most users.

Since 27th June the CMC rank has gone from #1109 down to #1114

I'm sure a specific battery brand might be interested in seeking some royalties. Nonetheless, the overall behaviour of banning accounts and deleting user content really gives that warm and fuzzy feeling. No wonder user engagement is down. If you can shine a light on the details of these treasury proposals by directly posting information here it might be worth adding more weight. Although the treasury proposals get their 100%+ vote themselves without need from retail users. These votes are definitely not every month, the last one was 4 months ago and the time before that a year. The old website has treasury details to Nov 2021 and the new website goes from January to September 2022. Where are the details from the last ~9 months?

Theft definitely happened. Anyway you want to look at it a NRG wallet was drained against the desire of the user. Countless times it's always the same response. The overall reaction is fine and it is what it is. Maybe not as bad as other projects but not as squeaky clean as the 'safest blockchain'.

Not sure what GMI is doing for NRG? Without access to Discord it's hard to notice any activity. Maybe the blockchain features that have been developed over the years can help other projects?

One more point that I've always flagged and get the same results...

Proposals are auto-approved by the team and information is never shared. You can easily cross check the addresses that vote on the proposals and how often those votes are recorded mostly on the same block. First line of defense is always that of " who knows who.. (voted).." but just look at the addresses and it's mostly same addresses voting. The other fun fact is that information does not have to be shared even to registered masternode holders. It's the governance model for a select few.

I could easily vote "no" on the proposals as zero information is shared for masternode holders, those that have the ability to vote, but it would be a waste of transaction fees. They might be super low but need every cent of "value" to recover my investment.

Time for the monthly update on the value of my investment especially with the continuing downward trend of the market value. NRG has a new all time low (generally speaking) and has dropped to $0.05. Considering the new low value after four years my investment is worth 6.3%. Why does this project feel like it's abandoned by it's dev team? Spooling up a parallel project with the same resources is showing it's strain on the system. The team has repeatedly shared the value of NRG is not based on market value or CMC rank (currently #1021) but the nontangible. I could go on and rant about an exit strategy, but the recent messages are more on point.

Glad to see some activity in this community and not surprised to this new content here as it's inline with some of the past stories if you read through the history in this thread. It's almost impossible to crosscheck the references as most if not all social media platforms are heavily censored and information is suppressed by the NRG team. Bitcointalk so far is safe and provides people the chance to speak. As always it's anonymous and no controls on setting up as many accounts as you like. Some try to legitimize by having older accounts but zero activity.

I can appreciate the recognition of dragons but not the generalised sense that people may be grouped together merely by name. I'm not "the other dragon".

I've been a victim of NRG theft and it's a story that's been suppressed multiple times and just a gentle reminder that it has happened and those people still have not been made whole. You will not see any other posts on other social media platforms such reddit, twitter, telegram or discord as those messages have been deleted.

Chanak - I'm not sure what's in those discord links and might I suggest making information publicly available when making references.

Your words are always value add and raise confidence in investors. Anything I can do to keep this project relevant!

Don't forget the buy back program that was announced around the same time as the GEM investment. You can still find related news articles and Youtube content but nothing of the actual buy back program. I've seen here some defensive answers claiming it was already done. Might have been the funds from GEM that were critical to the buy back but that transparency it just never there.

In the last month energi had dropped by 50% with the last 24 hours or so being the worst. Any particular triggers? [opinion] The same dragon avatar in different color skins as the main investment value triggering the market?

I'm shocked to see any activity in this community. Glad to see people are still talking about this project.

After 4 long years of investing in NRG I've been able to achieve an ROI of 8.99%. Let's see when this project pans out or just need to pull the cord on VPS fees and let my bag sit for better days.

At least the team leaving their MNs inactive has dropped the reward cycle and brough up the effective ROI. Hopefully the drop from 1400+ MNs to 560 (currently) MNs is all in anticipation of GMI launching in the coming weeks/months.

LOL... some things never change.

The Energi community is fairly challenging community to engage with as they're quick to label most conversations as FUD if you even dare ask a question. Specifically this whole conversation would be immediately deleted and users banned on Discord. Here's a comment I got from someone on a social platform a few days ago:

• "It was just one moderator there was kicking everybody off if you even asked a question."

No one is having a conversation on Telegram and it's mostly GMI advertising. Reddit is okay but not many people online; 21 right now, 3 posts in the last 3 months by non-moderators (one of them was mine). I'm by no means a content creator nor create much worth reading and has <500 views.

This may come across as a general attack and really more intended to show that joining a social media platform might not actually be a good source of information nor as welcoming as you claim it to be. Until Energi allows their investors to engage on Discord you'll find me here. As with any online forum you can create whatever identity you want and never limited on the quantity.

Recovered 16% from initial BTC & ETH investment

A monthly update is sufficient and trying to keep this space relevant as there aren't many opportunities to talk with others; be it the team or users. I'd certainly like to know how other investors are fairing and finding out tricks to optimize holdings. Learning about other VPS providers is always nice.

Reading through the angry bold, the focus is on NFT and GMI marketplace; that's fair. Wasn't sure if there were Energi blockchain developments yet to be announced from past roadmaps.

I really hope the wash trading on Kucoin won't be a future risk; need exchanges that aren't bound by ETH gas fees.

December update on NRG investment

Last month I shared some numbers regarding ROI and there are too many moving variables that's it's easier to look at the initial cost to enter the project and compare to the overall holdings today; which does ignore the VPS hosting cost.

• In November I was at 20% of value from the initial invested coins and the good news that has climbed to 28%; up 8 points.
• Most of the lift comes from the value of BTC dropping from $20k down to $17k (never good news but helps with the denominator) and a small pump in NRG price.
• NRG price was around $0.16 and now holding above $0.20 (today = $0.24).

Looks like potential wash trading on Kucoin might be helping with the daily volumes and price has recovered to earlier August prices. Just my observations looking at trade history; most are booked as hidden, between the spread, and equal buy&sell amounts with the same timestamps.

Edit:
Factoring VPS hosting cost to the mix and the overall initial investment to current holdings drops it down to 20%. Here's to hoping that NRG can break into the $1.00+ value again.

No holding value for the initial NFT release is a missed opportunity. Have to think of the future exit strategy if holding of the NFT offers no intrinsic value. Fast forward a year from today; hopefully GMI is live and been playing the tokenomics game for a few months and hold several dragons.

• What do you do with GMI? (besides "tokenomics" into more)
• Is there an assumption the NFTs can be sold with gains?

 The project has never been about a get rich quick themes but still need more people to join the project to help with adoption and growth.

Checked my spam filters and the rules I have in place do no remove the newsletter. I assumed that had gone away like the medium articles and youtube videos.

Cointelegraph and Decrypt are some my sources of information for crypto news. I still stand firm on my opinions on NFT within the context of art work. There are many applications that are effectively a digital contract to prove ownership that are in development and look forward to that space.

Does a Energi dragon NFT come with any perks? If you think of the BAYC NFT collection, Yuga Labs offered additional perks and even hosted a warehouse party in Brooklyn.

That makes a lot more sense now. Slick looking website with a lot of information. I haven't quite understood the value of NFTs in the context of artwork; where there's an assumed intrinsic resale value (and market) to grow your portfolio. Minting your own artwork and collecting royalties from resales is where the money is at. Will GMI allow minting of our own collections? NFTs have been around for a while, first NFT was minted in 2014, and I'm glad Energi is jumping on the bandwagon and hopefully that will boost adoption.

OpenSea has been in the headlines a lot these days and have some pending legal cases; specially: a former executive, Nate Chastain, for wire fraud and money laundering. Having an OpenSea account appears to be a requirement to participate and have the ability to receive GMI. Any moral challenges? Are we assuming people who are into NFTs have likely already had an OpenSea account for several years and it's moot to them.

Have you considered sending out newsletters to your current users. I'm signed up and think the last one I got was from April of 2021. As a mechanism to reach the users across all social platforms; can't rely only on a small few.

Positivity; that's an ambitious goal to pursue and wish you fortitude in your efforts.

Airdrop? Is there another earndrop lined up for NRG? The first one from 2019 must have boosted adoption.

Awareness is the first step to adoption.

Speaking of awareness what is "GMI"? I did a quick google search and didn't come up with much related to crypto; there's the GamiFi (GMI) coin or the Bankless DeFi Innovation Index (GMI). Is this about a future Energi development that we're going to learn about one day?
