1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PND] The Official PandaCoin thread! [Scrypt][KGW][NO PREMINE] on: March 05, 2014, 07:12:24 PM
If no one has mentioned it yet, the simplest Chinese symbol for currency/money/coins is 币 (bì). Would be easy to use for PND in Chinese.

Meme graphic making a 币 (bì) symbol out of a panda cartoon character maybe? Pic related.

Would destroy any other crypto in use in China, because PND would just be referred to as "coins" in Chinese.

Did anyone can tell what's wrong with PND BC TOP and many many others,
Why they can so lower
With PND, miners are instantly selling their coins at the lowest price. Not sure what's in it for them when they could be making more on a coin switching pool.

They can't. Average switchingpool is +/- 0.007 BTC/MH/day at the moment. Mining PND and dumping for 1 satoshi gives about the same amount.

Alt coins look dead widely spread, it's not PND only Sad

Too many hashers, too little buyers.

I have the same number. So I mine and dump. Half of my hashing power is in multipool, half here.

But that also means that if the difficulty increases, the match dictates a price increase. Just a matter of time.

The guys posting here are right in that you should be buying at the current price, but DO NOT SELL WHAT YOU HAVE AT A LOSS. Hold on to what you have and buy more at a lower price if you can afford it, but don't lose by playing a low-ball swap-out game.

A reminder, everyone on here, including me, are randoms that are trying to get YOUR money at the end of the day. Thats how this works. Just like the miners that make money from selling at any price, speculators make their profits from buying coins that you get rid of too cheaply. Don't just take it from me, you can't trust my advice. Just like them, you don't know me; you shouldn't let these guys run your finances because they have an agenda.

What I can tell you is that if you do what they say, and sell your coins for a loss, you are making THEM money by giving them a cheap coin and losing money yourself right away on the trade in hopes for a better price to re-buy at in the future. That isn't a smart trade unless you bought the coin at a price with a lot of flexibility (buy .03000000, bear past .02500000 stop-loss sell) but in this case, you have almost nowhere to go.

Don't sell too low, just hold on and buy more if you can afford it.

agree, plus it does cost money to mine and sell the coin, u cannot make anything dumping at 2 satoshi

You can make a lot of money at 2 satoshi if your equipment and electricity is free. Botnets using micro-processing power or employees/students using their school or work pc networks will make money no matter what. This probably happens a lot in countries other than the US.

Panda is still too expensive, buy-in price is 1 satoshi, not 3 or 4. Now just keep dumping. Sell at 4 and rebuy at 1 is huge profit. Pump from 1 to 16 is 4 times better profit than a pump from 4 to 16. Dont forget that. I have placed my buy order to 1 satoshi queue to be one of the first who will get them early enough before the pump starts.

Keep dumping at 3 or 4? Sounds like someone wants to buy some 3 sat. coins.....There are 11 BTC worth of buy orders on mintpal before the 1 sat dream is realized, and 2.5 sat on CryptoRush (so thats your best bet). Either way I doubt anyone is going to dump too many coins at 2 satoshi because that is a definite loss unless some miner got their hands on a very free and very high powered rig.

Purchased a meager 1.5 mil at 6 satoshi, which looks like a long-hold bundle right now.

Went ahead and grabbed an extra 500k at 3 satoshi today just to have another shot during the small game, and a better potential gain if we stagnate for a month or two for a possibility of playing in the 1-2 satoshi daily spread swing periods; if they continue.

This looks better everyday.

I wonder where all the gangs of this scam have gone.

It isnt a scam, Devianttwo is a well known admin of the CryptoRush IRC......He isn't hard to find.

According to the other altcoins it is very undervalued. There should be more giveaways and presentations.
Let's take this coin to a higher place together Smiley

Devianttwo is a busy guy, he is looking for someone else to take over the project or waiting for good conditions to run some updates.....

Appears that my wallet cannot connect to the network. Anybody else seeing this issue? Also, most of the pools have either closed or transferred to a different coin. VOLT is going for like, 2 satoshi. Officially dead yet?

I don't have any issues with my wallet. And no, the coin is not dead!

Thanks! I'll try exporting to a different PC and trying my connection from it....weird!

Update: VNCed into my work computer, still no active connections! Next step is to VNC into a computer outside of my country and see if there is some sort of IP block (tried a proxy, no go..)

Update 2: Randomly started working again, debug file showed several timeouts when trying to connect to the node IPs. Good to be back gentlemen!

Update 3: It appears that there is something wrong with my IP, it works when tunneling through a node proxy in Chicago but not from my Israeli home line, business line, OR university line..
