3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA] PCMiner - A GUI Front-End for coin utilities. b.1.3 released! on: March 01, 2014, 05:24:32 AM
We have now released another update, b.1.3. It adds a GUI for CPUMiner and a very small settings menu which, as of right now, only allows you to change whether or not you want the main window to close when you open a miner window. This way you can open multiple types of miners without having to launch the program multiple times.

We haven't quite figured out a good system for multi-GPU mining for cudaMiner. However, I think I may have figured out how to do it for CGMiner, we can't test this since neither of us have 2 AMD cards. If anyone wants to try it, here is how:

All you have to do is put a comma after the number you put in the textbox, and write the number for the second card.

e.g. Worksize: 256,512

256 being the worksize for the first card, and 512 being the worksize for the second card. This can be done for any number of cards. There is no space between the comma and numbers. This is just temporary as we figure out what and how we can get a better interface for multi-GPU mining.

Ok I am messing with it now. Biggest suggestion I can make right now is to make a Summary page like in GUIMiner where you can control any number of miners. Your software only allows control of a single miner? Is that right?

I have not quite figured out how to mine with multiple cards with CGMiner, as I only have one AMD card. If you could point me in the right direction, we would appreciate it. It should however, be able to mine with multiple Nvidia cards by launching the software twice. One window with GPU 0 and one with GPU 1.
Basically GUIMiner look like this http://cryptojunky.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/GuiMinerScryptWorking.png you are able to keep adding miners in that single window and stop and start them all at the same time. If that is what PCMiner does, but only by opening each window over and over, I dont think it would be hard to implement a single window where you control each miner. I would suggest to download GUIMiner from Taco (developer directly), he is on this forum.

Alright, me and ElectricWaffle will look into this tomorrow and see what we can do. Expect a new version soon.

Seems like you have a lot more options to edit vs GUIMiner. BUT and this is a big but, it shows up as a virus. Now GUIMiner also shows up as a virus, but at least that software is tested now, its just falsely flagged.

With so much software going around that steals all kinds of coins, I am being cautious.

Hmm, I'm not sure why it shows up as a virus, but you can look at the source code and compile it if you wish. What it does is automate the creation of .bat files with the options you give it. This may or may not be the reason why.
