Hi, im supposed to receive a BTC transaction but its been 2 days and still unconfirmed. Would appreciate some help in figuring out why please.

That transaction pays a really small fee compared to other transactions which are currently in the mempool. It pays 19 sat/byte fee while ~170 sat/byte is required to get a transaction confirmed in a few blocks. You can wait or ask the sender to bump the fee if transaction was marked as replaceable or use CPFP (spend those coins with a fee higher than 170 sat/byte). I have linked you a guide for Electrum, but it should be possible in most wallets too. What wallet are you using?

so its really a matter of fees.
so it will v likely get confirmed in a couple of days or else it will be reversed?

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BAKKT launching tomorrow but BTC price falls? on: September 22, 2019, 04:54:53 AM
Why isn’t the official launch of BAKkT driving btc prices up but instead it’s going the opposite way?

Are investors afraid of a massive dump coming up or what are the possible reasons there isn’t any traction for BTC price ?
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official Liquid Exchange Thread on: July 11, 2019, 12:04:23 PM

Telegram is one of the largest instant messaging platforms in the world, revered for its slick interface and impressive stance on privacy and security.

Telegram is now on a mission to create the world’s most adopted cryptocurrency ecosystem with the Telegram Open Network (TON) and Gram token. Public investors have been itching to get their hands on the coveted Gram tokens after two highly successful yet exclusive private sale rounds last year.

Now, for the first time, Gram tokens are on sale to the public on global crypto platform Liquid. Liquid is a reputable, secure global exchange with a strong history of pushing innovation in the blockchain space.

Gram tokens are priced at 4 USD, but holders of Liquid’s utility token, Qash, can access an exclusive rebate that means you can effectively pay as little as 3.50 USD per Gram.

Telegram and Gram
Telegram is a staple in the cryptocurrency world, with hundreds if not thousands of crypto communities embracing the app. Fittingly, the Telegram team is jumping into the world of crypto with a blockchain of its own.

Telegram is huge, with more than 260 million monthly active users who will benefit from the launch of Telegram’s own blockchain, TON. Across the app, 70 billion messages are sent every day while more than 500,000 new users join the platform daily.

TON is set to launch in October, providing Telegram’s vast global userbase with a means to send instant transactions on a highly scalable blockchain network, while upholding the highest standards of privacy and security.

TON will have a number of services powering the ecosystem.

  • TON Storage: A distributed file-storage technology that will enable distributed storage services similar to Dropbox.
  • TON Proxy: A network proxy/anonymizer layer used to hide the identity and IP addresses of TON nodes.
  • TON Services: A platform for third-party services.
  • TON DNS: A service that reduces the friction of interacting within a crypto ecosystem by assigning human-readable names to accounts, smart contracts, services and network nodes.
  • TON Payments: A platform for micropayments.

The Gram token
Telegram aims to vastly extend the scope of the messaging platform using blockchain technology. Telegram users will be able to use the network for fast payments, convenient storage, VPN and a range of other services.

At the heart of these plans is the Gram token, the native currency of TON.

Using Gram, payments will be fast with low fees, making use of an innovative wallet integrated into Telegram clients, which could instantly make it one of the most adopted cryptocurrency wallets in the world.

The utility of the Gram token is vast:

  • Commission ("gas") paid to TON nodes for processing transactions and smart contracts.
  • Stakes deposited by validators to validate transactions and generate new blocks and coins.
  • Capital lent out to validators.
  • Voting power required to support or oppose changes in the protocol.
  • Payment for services provided by apps.
  • Payment for storing data securely.
  • Payment for registering blockchain-based domain names and hosting TON-sites.
  • Payment for hiding identity and IP addresses.
  • Payment for bypassing censorship imposed by local ISPs.

If you’re interested you can join the Gram sale here.

Would appreciate if you could fix all your current technical issues ASAP.
8  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official Liquid Exchange Thread on: July 03, 2019, 02:55:55 AM
I'm having very poor experience with liquid and their support.
It's not the first time I'm withdrawing fiat with them (which ensures that the bank info is correct), but it's the first time that it takes weeks and the funds are still missing.
After a week of inquiries of the payment status and my requests to provide actual payment information (the request was made on May 31st and the payment was marked as processed on the 2nd of June) the only response I'm getting is: "we've got our responsible team working hard on this as we speak" and "Rest assured that we will keep you posted on any updates from them regarding this." and zero actual information.

Now it's Friday and they do not even bother to answer. Very bad support and client treatment.

UPDATE: June-17 still no funds or information from Liquid
UPDATE: June-18 apparently the transfer is currently delayed at my bank (flagged by their compliance team), which is sort of "good news". However it seems that the transfer was made on June-10th instead of advertised June-2nd. Still I've got no payment details or any clarifications from Liquid, which is sad.

Hi buddy,

can i just check with regards to your withdrawal issue on liquid exchange. Which currency did u withdraw in? And how long did it finally take to get resolved?

Also anyone else have withdrawal issues with Liquid?

All tx done .

my initial transaction is still stucked Sad

Please be patient & next time use electrum wallet also with good fee .

Yes i will.

i have acctually sent another transaction to the same stucked address with very high fee and it acctually got through without confirming the previous stucked transaction. Is that normal ?

Was that transaction sent to the 'stuck' address & from the 'stuck' address ? If not then it is normal .

oh it acctually wasnt, so i got to send from the stuck to the stuck ?

i sent from a different wallet to the stuck one.

Is there any other thing i need to look out for like do i need to empty the stuck wallet or its fine whatever balance i have and i can just send whatever amount just with a high fee?

All you need to do is , send from "sender's address" to the "sender's address" in a stuck transaction with a high fee. Try & let me know .

ok just to clarify,

the stucked transaction was from Wallet A to Wallet B.

so right now i just got to send a transaction from Wallet A to Wallet A right?

I have already done that 2 hrs ago.Basically paid a close to $2 fee for a $2 transaction. But to no avail still.

There is no way I can increase the fee for the old transaction right?

If you can import "sender's address" & it's private key to electrum then you can use rbf option to bump the fee .

Alright thanks.

Is there any way you can help to accelerate this transaction though?

Let me try, I will accelerate it soon.

Thank you. Will definitely drop a tip if it goes through

Hi , im new here and i have a stucked transaction >48 hours.

Would drop you a tip if you could help me with it. Thank you.

You have set a very low fee . Can you please explain how did you perform this transaction ? I mean from which wallet to which one ?

I have no idea why the fee was so low in the end. i didnt notice while sending it out. I use bitcoin core to send out to a web based wallet.

Right now i cant even increase the fee , it keeps telling me (change output is too small to bump the fee).

You should use electrum, now try sending a transaction to yourself with a high fee .

I just did that. Send a transaction to the btc address that is stucked right?

Can i just send like $2 worth ? And how much would be considered a high fee?

Sorry im kinda new to this. Appreciate your help

Yes you can , you can use electrum wallet for convenience . High fee may be anywhere from 200 sats/B to 1000 sats/B .

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Beginner here with unconfirmed transaction. Please help on: April 04, 2019, 09:02:49 AM
If the average mempool doesn't return to a low value of 10mb, transactions like yours will likely never get confirmed based on 2017's same scenario.
If it miraculously gone down to average of 10mb, you will only have to wait for about 12-24hours for it to get confirmed.

By saying "return to your wallet", you must be talking about how long will the nodes keep that tx in their mempool, answer: most nodes will drop it after 14days, but some may not.
If you haven't changed the -mempoolexpiry setting, it will "return" after 14 days after your last re-broadcast.

thanks for your reply. What do you suggest i do then? I dont mind upping the fee.

I set the fee at decent recommended setting for this transaction but no idea why comes up insufficient.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Beginner here with unconfirmed transaction. Please help on: April 04, 2019, 06:01:19 AM
Given the current size of the mempool and the fees in play at the moment... the OP really has little option but to just sit and wait Undecided As calculated, the maximum fee they can possibly reach with RBF is only around 4 sat/vbyte total... and there are around ~25-30 blocks worth of transactions that have higher fees than that.

The only other option available would be a "Child Pays For Parent" (aka CPFP) transaction... whereby they spend that 0.00002376 BTC change output in a transaction that pays a comparatively HUGE fee (like 120+ sats/vbyte) to try and push both transactions through, or get the recipient of the ~1.52 BTC output to try the same.

Bitcoin Core has coin control, so creating a transaction that spends that change output should be relatively simple.
I use bitcoin core as my wallet

can i ask, what would the wait be like roughly? and also if it doesnt ever gets confirmed, how long does it take till it gets returned to my wallet in this current situation? thanks
