Woher kommt eigentlich die Begeisterung für Ripple in den letzten Wochen?
Hat sich in den letzten Wochen gezeigt, dass sich Ripple so herrlich antizyklisch zum BTC bewegt. Passt momentan einfach super in ein Portfolio. Denke das ist ein weiterer Grund. |

- Es wird nur minimal mehr Energie benötigt, als der Betrieb der Wallet-Software verbraucht. Dies würde eines der größten Probleme von Bitcoin lösen.
Darüber, ob das überhaupt ein Problem von Bitcoin ist (geschweige denn eines der größten), ließe sich vortrefflich streiten. Ich halte es für ein großes Problem und für das einzige wirklich stichhaltige Argument für Proof of Stake, deshalb können wir gerne drüber streiten  Das es das einzige wirklich stichhaltige Argument für PoS is, is ein(es der größten) Problem(e) von PoS. Aber von Bitcoin? Was kümmerts mich, wieviel Energie die Miner verbraten, um daraus Profit zu machen? Da is dann eher die Gier der Miner das Problem und weniger das System. Da irrst du dich; es ist ein Problem des Systems. Da wo Profit gemacht werden kann, wird natürlich auch wer Profit machen. Wie beim klassischen Allmende Problem. Und wenn sich der BTC-Wert verzehnfacht, wird dann bald ein Zehntel des Weltstroms in nutzlose Rechenarbeit aufgelöst? Vielleicht gibt es eine Möglichkeit die Masse der Miner zu begrenzen, mit einer Form von Lizensierung, oder mit sowas wie ´nem übergestülpten PoS-Layer 208 |

Das Thema mit der Energie macht mir wirklich Bauchschmerzen. PoW war ne tolle Geschichte, aber jetzt wird´s zur Katastrophe. Wieviel Strom verbrauchen die Miner momentan, 1% des Stromverbrauchs der Erde? Das Problem ist ja, dass es nach oben keine Grenze gibt. Mit dem zukünftigen BTC-Preis steigt die Wirtschaftlichkeit des Stromverbrennens ins Maßlose. Ich fühle mich beim hodln jedenfalls nicht mehr wohl;) |

Vielleicht hat der Aufstieg auch was mit MtGox zu tun. Gestern haben 24000 user die Benachrichtigung bekommen, dass ihre claims bestätigt wurden. Vielleicht bekommen die so 20% zurück und haben wieder mehr Vertrauen; kaufen nach. Nachdem die 200k verteilt wurden gibt es sicher erstmal einen sellout

Switched to Bittrex as well but about a week ago I sold some leftover coins I had on Cryptsy and bought some AUR and it took me 7 withdrawal attempts to get all the AUR out as I would only get 6-900 coins in each withdrawal. I guess you only get what is in their hot wallet at each time which is a percentage (my guess 5-15%) of what they have in total. So that you are only getting 200-300 coins in each withdrawal means that Cryptsy has very little Auroracoins left. People are moving to Bittrex.

Although it has been speculated on many times that Cryptsy would go Gox (for years now), they are still here and seem to keep providing their service. The trouble, however is that the deposits and withdrawals seem to get harder and harder all the time. So yes, I would also advise to take caution with Cryptsy for now and not leave more than 1BTC in value on there. Bittrex.com is picking up volume fast now, a good alternative if you ask me! Very diplomatic language LTEX. When "providing their service" means to you: "taking double fee", because of sending only halve the amount of coins the customer asked for, transfering only 80% of the coins they substract from your cryptsy balance and these to thefts combined with a customer support that never gives you a clear answer or a refund, then you are 100% right, this is exactly how to discribe what "providing their service" contains at cryptsy. I have paid fees only for the amount which I received. The only thing is that I was not able to use my withdrawal- tickets properly.) |

I'm still withdrawing from cryptsy. The possible chunks are even smaller now! 5k chunks are now too large.

Months ago I saw something similar in the cryptsy orderbook. I thought it would be some kind of trading script. |

But sooner or later the coins will flow back to Iceland. If the project is successful, the big iclandic Bitcoin miner will invest also in aur, to spend there income in iceland. And I think there are also big holder in Iceland!

MtGox scheint jetzt wirklich insolvent zu sein.
Gibt es in Hamburg noch jemanden der dort BTCs verloren hat?
Oder weiß jemand ob da rechtliche Schritte Sinn machen?
