Yes, exactly! Is this the only one of its kind? (I sure hope not)

What gigabyte model is this?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking for a Motherboard with 4x PCIe 2.0 full length ports on: March 10, 2014, 01:31:28 AM
Hi,

I'm looking for a motherboard that has at least 4 PCIe 2.0 full length ports in 2-slot configuration. (So technically i should be able to fit 4 2-slot GPU boards in, without the use of risers). Does anybody know of such a thing? I was able to find lots of boards with 4 ports but only 3 of them where able to hold 2-slot GPU boards. That's not what I want.

Id say temperature is your best guess. Not necessarily the CPU but basically any piece of hardware with a failsafe mechanism. Check CPU, RAM, NorthbridgeSouthbridge Chips, PSU, etc.

  • What if you open the sides of the case? Does it run longer?
  • Did you try ramping up the fan speed from 40% to something like 60% or 80%?
  • Maybe set "temp-target" to a little less like "70"?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / First LiteCoin ASIC available on Amazon on: February 25, 2014, 06:29:59 AM
It just popped up on Amazon*, the Gridseed 5-Chip BTC/LTC ASIC for $300 a pop. AFAIK it's on the rather pricey side and they are only PRE-ORDERS.

I'm not going to risk it but just in case you want to give it a try, feel free to use this *affiliate link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IMQI8J4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&tag=aph0dc-20&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00IMQI8J4&linkCode=as2

On another note, how is the money-back policy for pre-orders on Amazon? It should be less complicated compared to some shady back-alley deal, or default web shop right?
