1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain hackable now ~ on: April 13, 2019, 10:55:41 AM
Hey everyone ,
I think that everyone already knows about the recent problem etherum had, when some hackers tried hacking into the blockchain system of etherum and actually succeed, they did overwrite the transaction history and one should remember that the hackers since 2017 have stolen 2 billion dollars worth of cryptocurrency now , so our long said *non hackable cryptocurrencies* are now getting hacked and to all those people out there who really thought that the classic Bitcoin was good enough , I think we should reach a common point now , Bitcoin needs to reevaluate it's shortcomings and then work forward to make enough advancements so that it becomes stronger day by day.
Also no matter how complicated the problem is the solution is always logical, no matter what we do today 10 years later there will be logical shortcomings noticed by some.
It's time for advancements now.

Feel free to check out the link for more information on the hacked etherum classic'

Well there are always great hackers out there that capable of doing such things, all we can do is trust the regulators of bitcoin(US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) that they would further improve the system leaving no holes for these hackers to get into.

Also what we can do as a community is to protect the success of bitcoin by not abusing it.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible scenario when all Bitcoin is completely mined. on: April 12, 2019, 02:33:54 PM
It's like asking if all resources are already used. Well in that scenario we try to sustain whats left.
Same case would be done if we reach a point where its possible that all the Bitcoin would be mined.

Changes in the Bitcoin protocols could be done  to limit the mining rate or maybe the limit cap could be extended under special conditions.
Take note that if the limit cap is extended the value of bitcoin will decrease.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: April 12, 2019, 02:14:22 PM
Well somebody has to initiate right. I hope for it to be a great initial steps for Cryptocurrency banking.

Even if it would not meet the expectations  I'm happy that people are starting to make it work.
Cryptocurrency would really undergo a lot of innovations, no doubt.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO PROMOTE BITCOIN MASS ADOPTION? on: April 12, 2019, 01:14:23 PM
I think the best way to promote bitcoin to be adopted by many is to build its reputation. With all the hackers around many would be scared to
consider in investing a lot of time in saving currencies in addition open to the risk of getting robbed online. Cry

Given the fact that the internet has a bad reputation of being abused as a medium of hacking. We can effectively promote bitcoin by simply explaining to others what is  and why bitcoin is safe and secured.
To all students out there who takes computer related courses I suggest that you consider on researching on how to make the cryptocurrency more secure than it is. Bitcoin still has a long journey of innovation to take until it could be considered the main medium of exchange.  ;

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shower thought. Why is Bitcoin hard to define? on: April 12, 2019, 12:55:15 PM
I was a "Non-bitcoiner" before  Cry, and I often ask my friend who's into bitcoin about it. Huh
Every time he tries to explain it to me I would  feel like a grandma who ask my grandson about the internet. ??

It seem so clear to him what he is explaining  but every term he uses confuses me and make me jump from one
idea to another. I'm not that stupid either, I even consider my self to be  knowledgeable about technology.

But when I really invested in knowing what bitcoin is all about I was like "Well that was that.. Okk soo it all make sense to me now~"

Its nature of being abstract does not help on constructing it in your thoughts  and followed by technical terms to define and support the main definition well that's one way to confuse someone  Grin Grin
