Yo guys

Is there a list or web page where I can find new upcoming altcoins?

thx
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Multipool mining information on: March 17, 2014, 01:26:48 PM
Hey guys

I would like to ask whether there is a possibility to find information which coins are being mined by multipools like Clevermining,Middlecoin,Wafflepool etc..

Wafflepool has a nice graph which shows in % which coins were mined last hour.

thx for info
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / SGminer and CGminer - email notification etc.. on: March 16, 2014, 05:51:33 PM
Hi, I would like to ask about two things:

1 - Is there a way (anoher utility etc..) which will send me an email notification when the sgminer or cgminer crashes?

2 - Is there a utility which will send me a screenshot let say once per hour on my email? I would like to check whether everthing is running ok etc..

I made some headway last weekend.  I gave up on Linux after being unsuccessful with BAMT and SMOS.  I installed Windows 8.1 and was mining in 30 minutes.  Amazon still hasn't shipped my 1300W PSU so I'm currently only running 5 GPUs with an 850W and 1050W.  Out of the box they were all running around 860 kh/s.  I've spent the last couple evenings tuning and things are looking promising.
Things I learned along the way that seem to have helped:
1. Use Catalyst 13.12.  The 14.2 beta drivers were very unstable.
2. Don't bother with Trixx.  Install MSI Afterburner and use the settings shown on this post (link).
3.  I don't know if this helped or not, but I'm currently running with the bios switch toggled up (toward the end with DVI ports)

..
Here are my current settings.

Code:
"intensity" : "20,20,20,20,20",

Yesterday I bought 4x Sapphire 290 TRI-x after few tests with basic core and mem clocks I ended up with 700kh/s.

So I have decided to test your shared configuration, which ended up with very nice 900-910 kh/s Cheesy

I had to delete these rows in config:
"xintensity" : "0,0,0,0,0",
"rawintensity" : "0,0,0,0,0",

and had to lower gpu-engine to 1020. In case I leave it at 1040, temperature rocket sky to 85, which is too high for me in long term.

So I want to say BIG THANK YOU.  Thank you dloganbill for sharing your tips..

Sending greetings from Czech republic.

Hey guys

6 cards are coming my way tomorrow and I still do not know one key information.

I would like to buy 3x 850w power supplies, but I do not know how to connect them when all 6 cards will be on one motherboard. Can you give me a hint?
Do I just connect one power supply to motherboard and with 2cards, second power supply just with another two cards, third power supply to last two cards?

In that case, how do I turn the additional power supplies on, when the computer is starting up?

thanks
M.

Just open your bat file. e.g. cgminer.bat where you have your settings like: -i 13 -g 2 -w 256 etc.. and add to the first line: del *.bin
Start up will take 5 more additinal seconds so just be patient.

So, cgminer.bat should look like:

del *.bin
cgminer -I 13 -g 2 - w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192  etc.. if u have other additional settings there.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB - thread concurrency has changed - solution on: March 07, 2014, 11:50:40 AM
After few days without a sleep  Roll Eyes I finally found solution.

On one web site I found that there is command:  del *.bin which clears something.. I guess some setting for gpu.
After that my graphic cards run both again around 760Kh/s. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

What I do not like is,that I bought another two GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB rev.2 windforce cards and they run only 720Kh/s  Undecided I will probably change them..
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB - thread concurrency has changed on: March 04, 2014, 07:56:17 AM
So I went back to 13.12 driver version and the situation has changed quite well. Now both cards are running around 730Kh/s.

But still I do not understand why I have to have thread concurrency 14336 instead of 8192 as it was before.

Somebody knows how can I undervolt  GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB windforce card? I have installed OC GURU II from the CD, but voltage is all the way grey out. Are those cards somehow locked?

thx

Hmm, sounds interesting. I have installed latest drivers so it may cause some changes. I will try that. thx
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB - thread concurrency has changed on: March 03, 2014, 10:40:58 AM
Hi guys

Few days ago something strange happened:

When I have started to mine with my 2x GIGABYTE R9 280X OC 3GB Windowforce - each did 750-760Kh/s - config: --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 with factory mem/gpu clock.
After few days I have installed ATI control center and press return to factory defaults button.
Since then graphic cards hash rate has been lowered to 550. I have tried to re-install drivers but still the same behavior.

After few hours I have decided to change my config to: --thread-concurrency 14336 -I 13 -w 256 or 384 -g 2 with factory mem/gpu clock and I got 730kh/s on the second card and first always "stops" at 700kh/s.

Somebody knows what can be the problem? Why It changed that much, why I had to change config settings like its a another card..

thx for tips
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ▬►►COINO -(O)- ◄◄▬ fast & high profit coin [COINWARZ] on: February 26, 2014, 08:56:30 AM
Hi guys

I'm quite new to COINO coin and I have few question to discuss. Maybe u will be able to help me with it.

1 - How to solo mine. I have tried to create coino.conf to ..appdata.. folder, I have also started qt wallet with -server parameter and still no luck to mine solo. Whenever cgminer shows me that I have found block, next row tells me that it has been rejected  Huh
Maybe my configuration is not correct, could you please help me? What exactly do I need to set and where..?

2 - Few days ago I was mining 760Kh/s with my R9 280x. But during my tests, I had to press return to default settings under Catalyst center. What more I had to uninstall the driver and install graphic drivers once again. Since then my mining rate drops on one card to 730Kh/s and on second card to 700Kh/s.
From my point of view, it looks like the card is somehow trying to to lower the temperature when its above 70C and probably lowering the memory or gpu clocks to stay cooled. This was not happening before.
What more, since I have a new drivers installed I had change the configuration in cgminer. Previously I had thread concurrency 8192 etc.. Now with the new installed drivers (even they r the same version) I had to change the it to 14336 this give me at least 730/700Khs. In case I will stay with 8192 the Kh/s will drop to 560Kh/s  Huh
So something had to change, since the driver reset and re-install. Is there a possibility that the Catalyst control center may change something in the BIOS of the card? I really cannot explain why I had to change the thread concurrency :-/
Thank you for you ideas

3 - Bcs I'm quite crazy about the Kh/s, I have tried so many things to change under Windows, that I have found something interesting and it may helps also to you.
I had - Control Panel\System and Security\Power Options set to High performance - when I changed that setting to Balanced it gaves me 20Kh/s more on each card:-) So, you can try it, hope it helps to you too.
