1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: April 07, 2014, 02:35:17 PM
Okay, I have my data saved for the QT in a specific folder, typically my desktop short cut points the QT to where to save. But since this last fork adding "-datadir" to the short cut isnt doing it for some reason. How do I change were data is saved in the client console ? Or ...?

Thanks in advance.

Bump, still trying to figure out why it is doing this.

Let's see, typically to do any math you have to have variables. So, without the variables it is impossible to do.  Guess that means you are correct in a hill-billy sort of way.

I have been looking on the internet and have yet to find any information about the exchange markets' gross and net.  Anyone have any source information on this?  Oh and how much has been invested in the market of exchanges?

Check OKCoin in China.

Thank you for the resource

Could it really be that hard to figure out?

Exchanges usually take X% of every Bitcoin or monetary unit bought and sold.

Transactions fees or percentages are available to see on most sites before you even sign up.

Charts track exchanges' number of trades.

You have to figure out the extensive complicated maths. I'm guessing simple addition would suffice.

You can walk on with your tripe condescending attitude...

Folllowed the guide.  Bat opens fine, I hit enter a few seconds pause, no error message but the info line still says suspended.  Any ideas?

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: April 01, 2014, 10:41:43 PM
Just upgraded to the new firmware https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1 and I am getting this error under "Miner Configuration" :

Quote
/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:448: Failed to execute cbi dispatcher target for entry '/admin/status/miner'.
The called action terminated with an exception:
/usr/lib/lua/luci/cbi.lua:334: Unable to read UCI data: cgminer
stack traceback:
   [C]: in function 'assert'
   /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:448: in function 'dispatch'
   /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:195: in function </usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:194>

How do I fix this?
At a guess, looking at the code there, it couldn't find the /etc/config/cgminer file.
Sounds a little unhappy, maybe redo the firmware again?

Been trying out CGRemote I think it has something to do with the API, as it has showed up on two other miners.

the asset exchange lends its self to fungible assets. ounces of weed are typically not very fungible.

"Weed" is more fungible than BTC so SWIM says

The Chinese exchanges can just move to Vanuatu, it is a favorite vacation spot from what I understand anyway

The closest thing you will come to is becoming a World Citizen and expatriating.

I could really use some direction on being able to point the S1's I have at a pool without changing the config in each miner 1 by 1, can anyone point me in the right direction?  Thanks
If you mean changing a pool, then I was in the same situation and spent $25 to get CGRemote. Turned on API access on local network and all miners (I have several) show up in CGRemote. I can now change pool on as many ant miners in a few clicks. It works amazing.

Question for rest: I just added a 4 pin variable fan in the back of my miner but in GUI it still says second fan speed to be zero. Is that by design or did I get a bad fan or 6?

Yes, I need to be able to change multiple S1 pools without having to change each miner individually.  Thanks for the link I will check it out.

That is a cooling fan.  In looking for a PSU I would highly recommend you look at the decibels. I love some white noise but damn, I got the Dell PSU's from Miner's Source with my S1s and those PSU's are loud.

Been doing some reading, has the remote pool switching been fixed in CG miner.  Coin switching is something I would like to do on my own, but to access each miner and change the settings is a pain.  Can anyone point me in the direction to get this done?

Just bumping

Also any reading on API set up would be awesome to!

Cant access one of my units through wifi though it is mining through the wifi, any ideas why?

Plug in the Lan cable. You should be able to connect to it.

Yeah I can access it that way, it is just odd that I can access all the others through wifi but not this one, and like I said it is mining through wifi.  I also have to reboot it about once or twice a day to keep it mining.  Just trying to figure out what gives with this miner.

Another thing that I have been noticing with this one machine is the Ethernet port light stays on, just the green light not the yellow, and the LED on the board below the plug stays solid.  When it does this there is no way to communicate with it port or wireless and it does not mine.  To get it to come back I generally have to unplug the PSU and wait 30 seconds.  Is this a faulty miner? None of my other machines have this problem.

I have read that P2P profits long term are greater, does this still hold true?

Nobody can answer that, since it depends so much on luck and other factors. With the luck...

Good thing I am a lucky S.O.B

And thanks for the list.

Hello all.  Is there a list, somewhere, of the p2p servers set up, for Bitcoin and alt coins?  I have been mining eligius but want to move to P2P for decentralization and increase in profits.  I have read that P2P profits long term are greater, does this still hold true?
