1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 11, 2019, 05:58:59 PM
My response would be definitive no. I believe in the technology and I invest only that money, which i can lose. It depends on the personal purpose, there are people who want just the fast money, most of them make mistakes like fomo. But there are also people who believe in the technology, in the big amount of benefits which BTC gave us. If you belong to group 2 you shouldn't think you have done a mistake and if you still think it was a mistake, welcome in group 1.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we looking at Bitcoin down to $5K? on: October 11, 2019, 05:47:53 PM
Fundamentally, I would say I'm bullish at the moment, but when I argue with the TA, we are still under the 200 EMA and this is clearly bearish and as longer we stay under it as higher is the chance to drop much deeper. But the market is still manipulated and you can never know what will happen. I'm as a BTC bull would be happy if I get the chance to buy BTC again at 5k, consequently I see long term much more value than 5k.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin is Old school techically? on: October 08, 2019, 04:52:53 PM
Yes it is old. No wonder, it was the first cryptocurrency, and BTC is built of old technologies like SHA256. It is like a cooking recipe you take some old or in the case of a recipe already known and finished ingredients and create something new. BTC combines old technologies and the harmony of this technologies is incredible. Beyond that BTC was created in a unique time. In Bitcoin’s beginning you could destroy BTC easier with an 51% attack, simply because of the fact that there were not enough miner (hash power) and not enough cash in the market, but also there were not enough interested people, nobody had the purpose to destroy BTC or to make profit of it. Why? Nobody believed in the technology, especially the mainstream thought BTC was a scam or something and due to this BTC had enough time to get bigger, get stronger, more secure, to become the BTC that we know today. It's no matter if you find a technic which is quite better or faster than BTC. Rich people can destroy you, the government can shut you down, you are easy to attack. Is there a better technique than BTC? Maybe yes. Can someone replace BTC? Clearly Not.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is the least similar to bitcoin? on: October 03, 2019, 01:45:01 PM
IOTA or other DAG coins because there aren't based on blockchain technology  Grin. IOTA for example is based on Directed Acyclic Graph or simplified a tangle.  But if you are only looking at blockchain technology, then every coin with a complete other use case like Cardano is quite different. You can distinguish the programming language for example. But the technology itself is often very similar because of the fact it's based on blockchain.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Quantum Computer Kill Bitcoin on: October 03, 2019, 01:20:41 PM
Theoretically possible, but I think that it's also possible to find a solution. Beyond that it's at the moment and in the nearly future very hard and expensive to get a quantum computer and besides that a quantum computer must be developed for the purpose of destroying bitcoin (to solve SHA256), with a normal quantum computer, you don't have the "instruments" to solve SHA256 you have to develop a special system for the quantum computer. In my opinion the effort is too big for most of the people. Furthermore, quantum computer's can also be used to attack other things like bitcoin nearly everything could be hacked, and there are some big banks for instance, which would be more profitable and easier to attack.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we really have fast transactions like the XRP? on: September 29, 2019, 03:26:00 PM
I think it can be possible by doing some tweaks and updates on blockchain itself or updating some old stuff handling bitcoin transactions pretty sure thay may help in making bitcoin transaction a bit faster or even be instant just like Xrp.If xrp team achieved it why not bitcoin can right

This is the classic blockchain Trilemma. It's not possible (or not yet) to be fully decentralized, highly scalable, and have a strong security. BTC is clearly fully decentralized and is a high security network, but the scalability isn't that high. XRP is more centralized and in favor more scalable. In my opinion is BTC at the moment, mainly a store of value with the opportunity to make fast transactions on the lightning network.
BTC has the best properties to be a store of value and if you see BTC as a store of value the transaction time is very quick compared to classic store of values like gold, silver and so on. Fascinating is that BTC has many use cases and with the time we will see how BTC will be used.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2019, 05:56:12 PM
I think that more BTC ATM's could increase the adoption, due to the simple presence. If people see a BTC ATM they get automatically in contact with BTC. They don't have to buy BTC now, but they will wonder about what it is and do maybe some research and it's an easy way to buy BTC for beginners. Furthermore, it's similar to fiat ATM's and people are used to use fiat ATM's. The new, unusual thing "BTC" combined with something usual could decrease the fear of buying BTC which beginners often have.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt has traded only 7 BTC so far on: September 24, 2019, 04:14:53 PM
I think that it's too early to say that bakkt failed. In my opinion bakkt need a little bit more time and is long term bullish. But the fact that people expected a big price increase because of the launch of bakkt can be short term bearish due to the disappointing.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price dropped down to $9,500 today. Wanna know why? on: September 24, 2019, 04:09:47 PM
Wanna know why? Because bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are currently fucking volatile. It has been volatile since it was first being traded on exchanges, and it will continue to be volatile for years and years and years to come. Because that's how the fucking market works for young, speculative, and low liquidity assets like bitcoin.

There. That should answer all the why bitcoin crash questions today, and for years to come. So stop asking this stupid redundant question. kthxbye

Totally right. The volatility is absolutely normal. People often expect a market which goes only up, but that's not possible. Beyond that the drops in the last Bull Run were even stronger. For all long term investors a short term drop shouldn't be a problem or a reason to worry about.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: September 23, 2019, 04:58:27 PM
Patience is important, but if the project is nearly dead and is barely alive, you can wait a decade and the price will not grow. If the project is solid, has a use case and a good team and you are sure after your research that the project has good chances to be successful than patience is the right strategy. But never put blindly your money in a project and just wait. Observe the project, check social media and check the process of the road map.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will BTC halving stimulate price growth? on: September 23, 2019, 04:47:49 PM
It is basic economy, the demand is the same or even more and the rewards/supply is less. It's how the economy works, demand and supply create the price. Beyond that the reward is the wage of the miner and if he get fewer rewards he will increase the selling price of his BTC to compensate the reward decrease.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: September 22, 2019, 03:10:41 PM
Hello,

always check the White Paper, check the Team, check social media, do some research about the project and if the project promises an extreme high safe profit it's often a clue that the project is probably a scam. It's an effort, but it's clearly worth to take this effort and check the project thoroughly. Rather do a little bit more research than too less.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best Books On Cryptocurrency on: September 20, 2019, 08:07:05 PM
I can recommend all books from Andreas Antonopoulos.  Smiley

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What about Hedera Hashgraph? on: September 20, 2019, 07:49:16 PM
In my opinion they need a very good marketing to survive. They have strong competitors with a strong community like IOTA.  The target should be to stand out from the masses and build a solid community around the project, build good Partnerships and try to have more news especially good news. Many very good projects fail because the marketing. You can have the best product, but if you are the only person who knows that the product exists, it's worthless.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Teach me a trading strategy on: September 20, 2019, 07:24:59 PM
The best strategy is a self-made strategy. You must find a good strategy customized to your preferences it means on your capital, skill, risk and your emotional reactions. A strategy which worked perfectly for a hundred people can be a fail for others. It belongs more on the way how you trade the strategy and not which strategy you choose. It's impossible or very hard to trade with the exact same strategy as another person. The problem is that every human being reacts in another way on the volatility. Beyond that everyone trades with different risk levels, Person A trade with 1000$ and is completely relaxed and Person B can't chill one minute without looking on the charts. Necessary is to learn and earn experience, with the time you will recognize which way is the best for you and then you have your best strategy.

Hope i could help  Smiley
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 18 months on .... im one of the 99% on: September 19, 2019, 02:56:52 PM
Never get emotional attached to a project because it seems you lost a fortune there and why did you bought on full bear market ? Who advised you to do that ? Just keep them and learn from your mistake and never buy when you see high prices and always invest what you can afford to loose.

Indeed, emotions are your enemies in trading, especially in the Cryptospace where the volatility is very high. It's impossible to turn the emotions off, but it's possible to learn how to control emotional reactions.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the reason why Dogecoin price rise today? on: September 18, 2019, 08:16:58 PM
I think the fact that nearly all altcoins pumped is very likely the reason  Cheesy. Good news can always help to improve the price a little bit, but it's difficult to be 100% sure of the reason of a dump or pump. However, i think the price makes often the news and not the news the price.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sad News: Kidnappers now requesting bitcoin as ransom in Nigeria on: September 17, 2019, 05:39:59 PM
It is frustrating to hear that we see Bitcoin's name in dirty works too. It doesn't mean that Bitcoin is dangerous but there will be many people that will believe Bitcoin is mostly used for things like this.

In fact, people always forget that other currencies like the dollar are way more used for illegal activities. The Dollar is in everyday use for drug/weapon dealing and other illegal things. But people used to ignore this fact. A currency itself is there to be spent and the people can decide what they buy with it. If people abuse a currency for bad purposes, it's clear that the human being is the problem and not the currency itself. Beyond that the majority uses things normally and not for illegal purposes. Everybody has a kitchen knife at home, can it be used for bad things? Of course. But is a kitchen knife bad for the fact that you can hurt someone with it?

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sad News: Kidnappers now requesting bitcoin as ransom in Nigeria on: September 17, 2019, 03:12:00 PM
The fact of Kidnapping is very sad and things like that shouldn't be a part of this world. But it's no matter if they demand BTC or Doller or some other currency the fact that they kidnap is the real problem. And the governments should focus on avoiding kidnaping or other bad and illegal activities instead hate BTC for this. BTC don't kidnap people.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we boycott the Facebook Coin (Project Libra)? on: September 14, 2019, 07:57:27 PM
In my opinion Libra will fail. Most of the governments boycotted Libra already France for instance. A big centralized bank consists of companies like Facebook is the opposite of what governments want. And beyond that we don't need Libra it's useless, there are a lot of better coins with the same use case. Facebook just wants to have more control of people and they use the Crypto Space for their purposes. Under a smokescreen of a "decentralized" coin they will do the same what they always have done steal and sell data. Furthermore, Facebook is not well known for being reasonable with our data and when they have the force to see what we buy and when we buy do you think they will not use it ?. I will boycott Libra because Libra has nothing to do with the vision of Satoshi and Blockchain.
