1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Will DOGECOIN skyrocket? on: June 12, 2014, 01:09:49 PM
Sorry to say, that Minecraft tie up was just a satire written by the original developer, Notch, to make a statement about the number of games that people by pre-release even before they know what the game is like.

Being able to buy it with dogecoin was just a part of that satire.

as i have said before cut off the devs premine and instamine and you won't see any new coins coming out.

It's a 100% free market, no one can stop this.

Give it a few months and enough people will stop throwing BTC at rip off coins when they continually get nothing out of it. Alt coins are one of the most insane bubbles where there has to be people losing money hand over fist.

That didn't stop ByteCoin happening twice.

sell it and invest in nxt, when you double you sell it and pay back your mom rest you can keep it in nxt.
nxt has a really good chance for it to double up when the asset exchange goes live along with other projects that are near completion.

thank me later or regret it later you choose.

Anyone who's interested about NXT is already well aware of the asset exchange and has already bought in anticipation. I could see steady growth in NXT but no near term doubling.

Regarding the android wallet.

Do you have the UI done and just need it compiled or do you need it integrated in to the android framework?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALERT!!!- ALL COIN2 HOLDERS on: April 15, 2014, 09:12:09 PM
what if am on holidays and come back after two weeks? do i still own coins because i have copy of the blockchain on my computer, they are just worthless because there is no network? or did a third party destroy my coins by invalidating the blockchain and wouldn't i in this case be entitled to receive a full compensation from this third party?

My understanding is that there will be no one left one the old network and as no exchanges accept it any more it's effectively worthless, even though it still exists, with a lot less coins in it.

Now for an awkward question Cheesy

Is that retrospective, as will people who claimed earlier getting a share or so they miss out?

No. But I think, you can take part in giveaway again. However  I personally ask you to do that as much later as possible and with other address.

First of all, the main point of giveaway is not to make money, but to to spread the information about  the currency among people. So in the long run, it will be more advantageous for you if coins are distributed to as many people as possible.
Second, everything should be fair.

Fair enough, I'll not game it.

Yesterday someone transfered 31415.92653500 to a giveaway address.
Thank you very much, whoever you are!

Giveaway is going on! And you should hurry up to get your free coins!
Just fill the form and they are yours!

Are these going as a lump sum or what's the break down?

What do you mean?

Just interested, is one address getting all 31415.92653500 or is it being split to a number of addresses?

All 31415.92653500 were send to one giveaway address, that I have posted earlier. They were summed with BCNs remained on address before this donation. Now the whole sum will be used for further giveaway. So the next giveaway participant will get 10% from  (remained BCN + 31415.92653500)

There are 88540.84000000 BCN on giveaway address right now.
UPD: 25000 BCN were added to giveaway JUST RIGHT NOW. So we have 113540.84000000 BCN for giveaway.

Wow. Thanks!

Could you help me with daemon. I get the following error:
ERROR c:\projects\sorrybigbro\contrib\epee\include\net\abstract_tcp_server2.inl:468 Exception at [boosted_tcp_server<t_protocol_handler>::init_server], what=bind: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions
ERROR C:\projects\sorrybigbro\contrib\epee\include\net/http_server_impl_base.h:68 Failed to bind server

at which point of getting started you're getting this error? blockchain sync or ?

Looking at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4799651/an-attempt-was-made-to-access-a-socket-in-a-way-forbidden-by-its-access-permissi

It would seem that either his firewall / Internet security app / router / ISP is blocking that port.

Hard to tell which one.

If you read our paper, you'll see it's not possible to divide one of our coin by more than 100 (0,01 minimal unit).

The whole things a confusing waste of space......try the KISS principle.

Have you ever tried to understand the algorithms behind any coin?

They're all mind bending, even Elliptic curve cryptography, which is a basic part of it. The wiki page on it could be a gigantic piss take and I'd not have an inkling.

Joel, are you in for the Reddit giveaway? Looks like 997 people aren't interested in helping out (if you're in a different timezone and haven't seen this yet, forgive me).
I've also been thinking about that and I think to start with I'll do a random draw using http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/pickone.html where the first 100 responders get entered and can "win" varying amounts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th with the rest of a 2500 c2 part pot between the other 95 responders. What do you think?

Plz check pvt messages  Smiley

Member Rraider has very generously donated the ENTIRE 10k c2 fund for the Reddit giveaway! I'm still going to donate 1k and I'd like your 1k pledge too, Pagona. Pls send to SG7P4knVPGytvZB24JBjMniLQcsZeBhAGR. If anyone else wants to donate, feel free and I'll continue the giveaway for longer.
