1  Other / Off-topic / Utopia or Dystopia - Widespread use of BMI(Brain Machine Interface) - Posthumans on: May 12, 2019, 06:07:56 PM
So I was reading this novel:- Nexus by Naam Ramez - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13642710-nexus

It's written in our future where humanity has developed a technological fluid called Nexus which can be controlled on the nano-scale level.
You drink it, it gets mixed with your blood and ultimately will end up in your brain. Now if two people are having Nexus in their body, they can communicate with each other without talking.
They both can read each other's minds' patterns, understand what the other guy is thinking and collaborate on any particular project without saying anything to each other.
It just blew my mind.
Now that's just the beginning and it's Nexus 3.0. There are few college students who have advanced the tech and taken it to Nexus 5.0.
So the Nexus 5.0 has got a full-blown OS(Operating System) on its own. You drink it. It gets synced with your brain and you have an operating system sitting over your brain.
Now you can now import any personality in your brain and start acting exactly like that personality.
You can learn to ride a helicopter, become a great martial artist or an NBA player instantly. Only imagination is the limit. It's exactly like this:-
Trinity in Matrix learning to ride a helicopter in seconds:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AOpomu9V6Q

Would like to share this waitbutwhy blog by Tim Urban:- https://waitbutwhy.com/2017/04/neuralink.html which is about this stealth mode company of Elon Musk called Neuralink working in the domain of Brain Machine Interface.

It's a long but an extensively interesting read which explores what can be done to reach that level where we would be able to control our brain to the minutest level and would become PostHuman/Superman.

Would like to know the views of people here on this blog that what do you think will happen if we achieve that posthumanity. How much time do you think humanity will take to reach that level or would it be even possible for us to reach there.

Wish you all a Happy reading and thinking Smiley Smiley

And using them with own risks of losses.

How would someone make any losses by doing analysis on Blockchain. Can you please explain?

Here are a few links to check:
- https://blockchain.unica.it/projects/blockchain-analytics/
- Wallet explorer
- Blockchair.com
- Blockstream.info

Not sure if those can give you 'in-depth analysis' that you're looking for but it's worth mentioning. Used them many times for fun.

Thanks for the links provided!
Will definitely go through them and see that if they are useful enough!
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Blockchain Analysis - Open Source Tools on: May 10, 2019, 06:07:26 PM
Are there any open source tools out there like:-

Crystal Blockchain :- https://crystalblockchain.com/
QLUE :- https://qlue.io/en/
etc.

For doing an in depth analysis of any particular transaction or an address on Blockchain of any particular cryptocurrency

Recently SEC also put a same kindaa request on their website:-

"The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to determine the availability and technical capability of large and small businesses to provide blockchain data to support the SEC's efforts to monitor risk, improve compliance, and inform Commission policy with respect to digital assets. The SEC is seeking information for potential sources to support the goal of acquiring data for the most widely used blockchain ledgers, including the universe of available information and transaction details." - Quoted from their post.
Please go to the link for complete information:- https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=c18a03f93cf06df47dab8a1c1a7f87a9

Searched the internet a lot, but wasn't able to find anything substantial.
If you guys know any such tool, it would be great to know.

And if there's really a dearth of such open source tools then being a developer I think we should start working on it. If anyone is interested in contributing to the soucre code, he/she is most welcome Smiley Smiley

Please lemme know your views/comments on the same.
