1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam onehash.com rejecting winning bets settling loosing bets on: May 20, 2019, 04:19:43 PM
Eh! This is not good.

I recently placed a bet with them for the CL final. Let's see how it goes. I am not much familiar about their betting system. It seems like you have to trust them to see the final odd of your pick since there are no open ledger to verify the bet amount.

How often do you see this kind of excuses?

Here are some other rejection emails I could find - https://imgur.com/a/DZNSwuW sadly I didn't save them all as I just took it as a loss. There were a lot more than these and due to it being removed from the transaction page I have no other proof.

I have had 4 or 5 wins settle but the majority are rejected, hopefully your bet will be okay. They used to be pretty reliable but lately this has been happening about 70-80% of the time for me.

I have been betting with onehash.com for around a year and they used to be reasonably good except for the bad support, low odds and slow payouts.

I've probably gambled around £10-20k on this site. However the last couple months they have started scamming winning bets, in the last 2 weeks 15 out of 20 winning bets have been rejected with no reason given other than technical problems.

The bets remain settled on the site and so it looks to me that they are settling the loosing bets and rejecting the winning bets to pocket the profits. Here is an example of this from my last bet:-

Would like to note that none of the excuses given in their email are correct, I placed the bet 4 days before the event started and was placed directly from my onehash wallet and I had previously placed small bets like this one without issue. They also remove the bet from your transaction/bets page so your unable to get any bet id or record of you placing the bet which is what support ask for when you contact them. They will then ask for the original bet placed email which they don't send for direct bets from your onehash wallet.

The support does not provide any further info and after sending them a link to the page where the event shows as settled their response is this:-

"Could you please clarify your question?"

I will no longer be betting here and would advise other users to stay well clear.

This website is terrible if you want to bet here find an alternative.

So where to start? First of all bets are consistently rejected, you can place a bet days before an event and after you win they will reject it. Their excuse? "There was a technical problem with this event so we cancelled it". This has happened 15 times for me in the past 2 weeks all of these were from winning bets, my theory? They are settling the loosing bets and rejecting the winning bets to pocket the profits themselves. You can see this from the events remaining visible on the site with a settled status.

Here is an example of this from my last bet (surely if the event is cancelled then it should not show as settled):-

Secondly is the settlement times, after an event ends you can easily wait 2-3 days for it to be settled and to get your winnings credited.

Next is the terrible odds, they take such a large cut out of each event that both sides have terrible odds compared to the market average.

Lastly is the amount you can bet, due to the site having such low user volume any bet over £100 is going to massively effect the odds and you'll end up with a 1.2-1.3 return on what should be 2 - 2.5

Find a different site if you have any sense.
