I can understand why some people are upset.
While coin mining is indeed a "risk" and nothing is promised. The same goes for the business of owning/operation a pool. It is also a risk... nothing is promised.
It is a little unfair to ask the miners to solely bear the brunt of a mistake made by the pool.
In the end, the coins were absolutely not "owed" to the miners... the coins never truly existed... That doesn't change the fact that the mistake was made by the pool, not the miners. Asking for people to send back coins already withdrawn is tacky at best.
It probably would have been in the best interest of ipominer to "write off" the mistake as a loss and move one.
That would make all the miners feel good towards ipominer instead of a little put off by them.
If the pool can't take a loss like that, then it might be wise to be on top of everything and find issues before they become too big to cover.
I certainly wouldn't like to cover the loss as a pool owner/operator, but I would do it. It's never a good idea to make someone else more responsible for your mistakes than yourself. That starts to harbor feelings of untrust and doubt. Two things I don't want people to feel about my business. Just the way I see it.
My opinion certainly isn't the only one... nor is it any more right or wrong than any other opinion... It is just one opinion among many.

I've seen about 5 different links to the new wallet now. I'll believe it when I see it actually working. Why do you care if there is a working wallet. You've repeatedly said that you were done with this coin... Yet you are still here. Such lies. |

Please recognize that Proof of Work (PoW) mining efficiency will go down as more blocks are found by Proof Of Stake (PoS). So don't be surprised to have more difficulty finding blocks by PoW, even when the nominal difficulty is low. For example, the nominal PoW difficulty right now is 0.293. However, the difficulty realized by PoW miners is approximately 0.9, due to competition from PoS, which is responsible for 21 of the last 30 blocks (at 274729). No preference is given to PoS minting relative to PoW mining, but over time, the amount of eligible stake will go up, resulting in a greatly increased competition from PoS minters. It is getting near the point in EBT's life cycle that creating new coins is probably easiest done by buying EBT from an exchange and letting it stake to mint transactions. That minting becomes more efficient relative to mining over time is a designed property of PoW/PoS coins like EBT. That makes sense. Thank you. |

Trading won't resume until we have a new wallet. I'm working on getting a new wallet now. Talking to many dev's and working on expanding the team for a rapidfire but solid solution. I feel it would be unfair to everyone to give an exact timeline but I will say this:
I am not resting until we have solution for the community.
Thanks for your commitment. Do you know if it is safe to buy WC on cryptsy? Trading is going on. I would think that would be a big mistake. Then again, I'm not an "expert". |

this is all pure scam ..we have all been outplayed..me 2 even i was deffensless ..they all set this up
I hope you aren't right about this but I have a bad feeling as Han would say... just rewind the story..this mogonzo was part of "old dev" ..if was all set up..they would sold their stash high ..and then in the middle of the saturday night they rise a panic to make a panic sells ..so they can buy 3-4 times lower. Which dev would make a panic in the middle of the night for 2% year stake..he would fix it in silence ..so now they keep people insecure with out wallet to lower price more until they buy at 3-4 times lower then they sell just few days ago. IF anuone ask me i would never touch this scam again. mogonzo was not part of the "old dev". He was brought in like 2 days before this thing blew up. He did what he did on Saturday night to try and save the coin that was in a dire situation. Things were heading south and there was no one else there to help. |

im staying in, im not convinced prices will get crazy low. And despite everything now, as soon as certain people have accumulated enough, and the network is fixed again, i know this will get a few good pumps and ill be sick of having sold now. There's so many other coins with real dev teams that havent had a complete catastrophe like this, keeping white coin now is pretty much stupid. Not a safe investment.
so when you're out its shit and as soon as you have managed to buy back its a good investment? give us a break why are you trying to buy back when there are according to you so many other coins? why don't you buy those, they are so much better right? or are you gonna post how good of an investment this is when you are back in? You have a good point, I'm probably not buying back in unless the dev team shows that theyre solid. Right now the dev team is temporary and fumbling around with making a new wallet. Give it a rest. I'm sure you know who all the other dev teams are on the coins you hold. I don't think taking their time to get the wallet right and testing it is "fumbling around". |

No offense, but if you don't have a few minutes to skim a few pages... why should anyone take the time to rehash stuff that is on every 2 or 3 pages? I mean are coins in my wallet still safe or they are just numbers?? gotcha. Should still be safe at this point, but who really knows for sure? |
