Why are you guys suggesting to use epochtalk? If it was ready for usage, wouldn't Theymos already be using it for Bitcointalk?
Am I missing something here?
It's working well, but not enough for this forum. Some features which are used here haven't been implemented already (AFAIK) like the trust and activity system. And some bugs are also to be expected. http://epochtalk.org/map.htmlI did look into someone taking epochtalk on but it was to much work than it's worth unlike ipb is ready and being updated regularly |

I'm going with IPB (Invision Community) currently setting it up can anyone tell me if they can see the forums, I just currently installed it. http://talkbitcoins.netYou are pretty correct when you said we shall like the forum name. If you are the one that listen to advise, i will advise you to remove the IPB installed on your server and get something better and cool. On the other hand, why did you choose IPB ? been busy but SSL is installed and something else check it now  still working on it but need some solid advice from experince forum owners and bitcoin/altcoin users what would they want to see. Also where can I get one of the signatures you have? |

What's your aim for launching a Bitcoin forum? Obviously, if its to avoid censorship, and add another forum to the mix then that's fine. However, do you have any niches that you'll be focusing on within Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies? Why are you guys suggesting to use epochtalk? If it was ready for usage, wouldn't Theymos already be using it for Bitcointalk?
It needs testing. Any good software needs to be tested vigorously, and having a larger amount of users testing the software is better than just a select few. I will be looking for content that is useful and is easy to find on the actual forums we will be covering getting started and mining, then their will be signals and betting with points what you earn from posts, which will eventually can be converted to bitcoins to the users but still on the drawing board with that idea and how to implement where everyone happy. |

I am not going in to this project to much but I could probably come up with something pretty decent.
I can develop or find developers who can code new functional themes or plugins.
I am also looking for someone who knows there way around a VPS/Dedicated Server and MyBB, and is willing to take this project under their wing.
You will like the domain it's good and could potentially bring something new to the table.

$10 for 500 replies? Can you imagine how it will look? A lot of spam and copy/paste posts, who will moderate all these things? at the end, when you stop paying posters can you expect from shit posters to stay there?
I see, I give up I keep trying but failing horribly how can I better this forum mind dropping me a pm of something I can implement on my forum to make the quality of the post better or even a registration or something different I have tones of domains but never really getting any where. I've checked your forum, I did not find anything new there. All of your created categories already told the story. Earnings from PTC, survey, URL shortener ... Do you have any experience from this niche? If you have, why you do not write some topics and write some analysis? If you are new in "online earnings doing small things" business, maybe forum like that is not for you. Maybe to find 20-30 people and pay to him a bit more serious amount to write good posts about different money making ways. Also, maybe you can think to run a blog with comments there. You'll come to the same but you will have an easier website for monetization. I think that's what i'm going to do. |

how much is the minimum withdraw in your forum?
I just posted a thread in the support desk but minimum withdrawal is 0.50cent and is done weekly but this may change.
You should just include all the details here such as what does this token do and can it be bought into something beside buying in back with BTC. Is the drinkmoney token even on blockchain?
The price per post is really that small. I'm not sure if you get some one on board with this the fact that the users in this forum are just up for crypto not for liquors and beers.
I have not fully tested the token system but you can do a few things with it like bank it and earn interest per day, trade points, buy rep, gamble (not working properly yet) trade with each other. I'm going to try add some special inventory items where you can trade for it's rarity. no it's not on blockchain I wouldn't even know how to go about doing it. If you got it mixed tokens are a add-on for the forum soft. That's sort of an issue because the maximum total amount of coins means uncertain. That means you can add more millions of it and that would mean cheat while if its on the blockchain, there will just be a limited number of tokens. I guess this is one of the way you make your token system more trusting. Have you created a forum before and made it like an active forum? I have but never really expanded on other forums and got to known people everyone just seems to leave me and don't want nothing to do with me but I am really trying out here it's hard man to find people who want to work on something where it helps people in countries where their is poverty to earn something just to get by i do like to think I am a good person but the world man just keeps knocking me down. Weekly withdraws is very bad. You probably need to be doing withdraws 2-3x a day in the beginning to keep people interested in earning. You're already asking them to make 100 threads or 200 replies in order to earn 10$. That's a ton of work for minimal amounts of money, 3rd world or not. You might consider doubling the payouts and doing withdraws multiple times a day and you'll see some users hop on to earn. I have taken @dodziu advice and done that, I also will pay daily when i'm on just drop me a pm to whoever may be interested in this. This does not really sound interesting and the best you can get are spammers to boost your forum posts since users needs to make 200 posts or start 100 threads in order to earn $10 quality shall be compromised.
Any suggestions what I should do? Would be glad to hear? Everything depends on your budget which I will not like to overstretch. The lowest paid to post forums normally pay $0.02 per post and $0.03 per thread. My suggestion is that, you can increase the payout since you are paying with your token which might not be listed yet. High pay rates will attracts users and might stabilize your forum even when you stop paying people. I could work with that depending on the quality of the post and thread.

What topics are to be discussed there? I can't help it but notice the name is kind of familiar with BeermoneyforumsWhy did you have to chose drinkmoney forum of all name? I think people will feel like it's more of a copycat forum especially if the agenda is the same as that of BeerMoneyForums? And not forgetting this; Beer Money Forum is a forum where you can earn money by posting comments and threads. You can also earn bmf by doing tasks in the marketplace section Sound familiar? It is a lot like beermoneyforum but that ain't stopping me of thinking of new things of my own to bring out. even mr.b said it's hard to come up with a domain and i ask him does he want it he said no he dont like it. what you think of yougetbtc.com i could change it to that. |
