I think all the different scams made regular investors hesitant to invest in altcoins.

For technical investors, scams are very easy to spot and bad investments are also very easy to spot.

However, for the non technical investors, they have no idea which altcoin is a scam and which altcoin is not a scam so they go with the safest choice, which is Bitcoin.

I agree, crypto scams are not good.

There were a lot of regular investor interest into cryptocurrencies in late 2017 but the crypto scams made the investors weary.

I sympathize with the regular investors as well because who wouldn't get mad if they were scammed... the blame should be on the fraudsters and scammers who took advantage of regular people and regular investors.

That's a very valid point fullhdpixel as there are many people who love Bitcoin and that is perfectly fine.

We are in favor of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but we just want to point out that Digital Gem Token is much faster (8 second block time), more scaleable (higher TPS) and more energy efficient (Less energy consumption) than Bitcoin.

The reason why we are comparing ourselves to Bitcoin is because we are entering into a time of resource scarcity and we feel that the world would be a little better off with an alternative that does not consume as much energy as entire countries.

I think that this new round of astronomical rise in the price of Bitcoin and gold is a hedge against uncertainly. There have been a lot of uncertain current events especially in economics and the corresponding rise of Bitcoin and gold is a reflection of that.
