So I recently downloaded the Bitcoin client (yesterday). I've been downloading blocks with moderate speed, and got to 130549. I've restarted the Bitcoin client, and I have 8 connections, but the blocks aren't updating. What's the problem?  Huh

Yes, but in beta isn't it supposed to cost only .01 BTC. Maybe you should not display the rule until beta testing is over to prevent people from getting confused.

"If you send in less than 0.10 BTC your entry will not count and it will be added to the jackpot."

Hmm...

Hmm. I would use my GPU miner but it does weird things to my computer and makes it really laggy. I thought it was only supposed to use spare processing power?

Mkay. I'm on a crappy mac, and I've started mining, but with super low rates (~600 khash/s). How long will it take for your website to realize I'm connected? I'm kinda confused.

This isn't exactly relevant, but I'd enjoy someone to explain this to me. I'm on a mac (if that matters) and I'm connected to a mining ip. However, on the site its saying that I'm not connected. I did connect to it with the correct miner and password, and my mining program is displaying my khashes. What's the problem?

How often should one back up their wallet?

Well I'm a certified idiot at forums. Always have been Tongue. But thanks a lot, saved me a lot of trouble googling it Cheesy. I would have given you a small donation, but, you know Cheesy

Hmm. May I be doing something wrong as well if my bitcoin client shows that I have 7 connections and 81050 blocks, but no transactions? I'm almost positive someone sent me .01 BTC.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MacBook Air - Any good for mining in a pool? on: June 18, 2011, 06:07:30 PM
Yep. I'm getting fluctuating khash rates of 500-1000 on a base model 2010 MBP.

Hmm... seems to be a good idea. Too bad I don't have any bitcoins yet xD. I'm trying to mine using Slash's ip, but it doesn't seem to be doing much at all.
