Rather disappointing. Was hoping for something space-related. From my understand this is really big news. Now the really big fishes can start trading Bitcoin.

Where do yall see NXT this time next year?
Hard to say but my guess, I see Nxt having the most advanced tech through unique features that are in development (see nxttechnologytree.com). We may even have instant transactions. It will be one of the most secure cryptos through Account Control (Trezor for Nxt also has its first software prototype). I think it will have a lot of connectivity to other blockchains through projects like Supernet/Multigateway. With projects like freebieservers reaching out and providing good services to gamers and Marc De Mesel approaching other blockchains to use Monetrary System, I think Nxt will continue to be adopted and transaction volumes increase (See https://nxtblocks.info/#section/blockexplorer_charts. Transactions per day have increased 10-18 fold since May and the chart of cumulative transactions per day is getting steeper, showing an accelerating rate of transaction growth over time). The fact is people who try Nxt, like Nxt. We just have just had a constant headwind of FUD since Day 1. This can only slow down adoption, it won't stop it. So the indicators look good Good Summary!

I support the idea of giving the attacker like 10% of all Testnxts and if the attack was successful(+documentation!) the community should pay a nice bounty. Like 500.000 Nxt or so. Somehow I like what he's doing. POS and crypto in general is very young, it's necessary that we're getting attacked so we can learn from it.

I'm really excited for Voting and Phasing. It's amazing how many tools Nxt provides. It's hard to imagine things you couldn't do with all of Nxt's features.

Nice chart! Maybe we should present it to users of the other cryptos in that chart so that they can correct things that are wrong.

Has EGOLD any 'business' plans? Because I wonder why people buy mscoins that don't really have a purpose but a fancy name. When CoinShuffling is released EGOLD could be used for mixing: Buy EGOLD with NXT -> Mix -> Sell EGOLD for NXT. Didn't think of that. That would be indeed interesting.

CfB is doing ok I have earned 90 NXT by selling minted EGOLD. Neat.
I would have earned 180 NXT by selling those coins few hours later. Well, I justed minted more and got extra 200 NXT. Yes, I sold 50 EGOLD for 100 NXT yesterday A side effect of Nxt MS is that you think of protfit denominated in Nxt, not fiat. Has EGOLD any 'business' plans? Because I wonder why people buy mscoins that don't really have a purpose but a fancy name.

I am kind of surprised that this did nothing to improve the price ...
It will slowly because every time a coin is minted, 1 Nxt is used for tx fee. And those fees go to the big whales who can dump the price again.

It's nice to see that there are so many currencies issued already and with that huge amount of paid fees it's fun to forge. I wasn't very lucky though.

|

Nice, more than 600 currencies issued already.

wow. this looks so promising. Amazing work guys!

Very nice overview! I'm very excited about the future of Nxt.

Imho you missed a point which is the actual reason why merchants can't hold or use their earned bitcoins. It's volatility. Even if every part in the circle accepts bitcoin each merchant will immediately convert their btc to fiat because they can't play with bitcoins volatility, it's too risky to keep btc until they buy something with it.

This thread is about a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange. It's about putting in one coin, trade for another coin, and cash out that coin.
No need for any centralize cryptocurrency such as: Bitcoin, NXT, Bitsharesx, or CounterParty
I don't get what you're saying. Are you claiming that those cryptos were centralized? With multigateway you can exchange in a decentralized way. Of course you need some NXT because it's on top of the Nxt Blockchain. Please be more specific about what you're meaning.

Nxt didn't fail to deliver. There is the multigateway. It's still beta but working. Has quite a lot of volume for being beta. In the next days/weeks multigateway will upgrade to production servers and as time passes there will be added more and more servers such that the multigateway is getting more and more decentralised. At the moment there are 3 server used, if I'm right. I'm not that familiar with multigateway (but I used it twice and it actually worked), so if you're interested in more technical details please visit: https://nxtforum.org/multigateway-jl777/. That's the volume of the BTC/NXT gateway: http://nxtreporting.com/?as=4551058913252105307
