1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RHEL 6 or Fedora 18 GPU LiteCoin Mining - has anyone gotten it to work? on: November 14, 2013, 05:29:41 PM
Got cgminer 3.7.2 mining LiteCoin on Fedora 19 following this http://servertoast.com/2013/07/17/compiling-cgminer-on-fedora-19-with-amd-catalyst-drivers/ except I installed the drivers using the latest official AMD installer with default options.

Initially had hardware errors until checking the cgminer SCRYPT-README and entering:
Code:
export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1

The trade values do flucuate madly, certainly have done recently. I guess difficulty is more predictable but a big jump in value can feedback into the total hashing power and cause difficulty to increase. I have just been shown this site for visualising the block chain and the different transactions, its pretty cool: http://www.bitcoinmonitor.com/

Hi folks, I am Stramash I find the whole idea of bitcoin, intriguing and I love fiddling with my box. I initially came here to get more information on bitcoin itself, mining and to check out genjix because I was going to use britcoin.co.uk

I have spent many hours on here no but only recently decided to sign up.

I am joining a forum because I find Bitcoin interesting for various reasons, but I'm very skeptical of the fundamentals behind it.

Search for amdoverdrivectrl on these forums and you will find a fair few discussions.

I have used Britcoin and it is an excellent service, fair play to the guy for doing it. To charge fees it has to be legal, which is fair enough I think. It would also give traders a bit of protection.
