It seem that there are no ASIC providers that have a 99% good reputation and are not considered a "scam" because

* they give items after the original date (delay it even that they don't give you money for the lost time & late launch)
* they devices doesn't run like specs (and probably not inside the probable % fluctuation when running)

Anyway this seem to be the near alternatives (more than 1 month to get 1)

Buterfly... they seem to be "serious" but aparently major complain is that they give have some delays in shipping thus making a little pointless the money you originally prepaid for (profits are murdered by delay)

Hash fast seems to at less have opensourced (could't find the link to source code https://hashfast.com/golden-nonce-interface-protocol-released there and there are no updates on the "headers" Tongue) of the "driver" interface for communication

Cointerra it seem OK??? :S but Shipping until June 2014 (that is a lot of time Tongue maybe for that time difficulty factor will make the now "high" speed as a normal miner today)

TerraLabs?? seem somewhat OK??? :S

They also seem to have give something out? but price is to hight Tongue and say 2nd quarter ships :S?

this one as I read is probably a scam I mean, not only they will probably (and perhaps had delayed) the shipping dates... but maybe probably never will give the devices? (though probably was the best option of all that are going TH speed)

So after this I hope you people could give me some insight to which is less scam than the others, and will will ship more fast a working device?

I mean I will not be able to get millions out of this, but at less 2x the inversion on the device will be ok and in final case not loss more than 20%  in that case 0% loss will be OK Tongue.
2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Will you back out? on: March 04, 2014, 05:07:07 AM
Hi there guys... I was thinking on buying an ASIC... it is a shame that no provider has enough reputation not to consider it a scam Tongue... because I Want to buy hardware new miner HW.

Watching and reading... it seems that for the moment we get (even if the provider send it on time) those

  • 300 GH
  • 600 GH
  • 1 TH
  • 1.5 TH
  • 2 TH
  • 3 TH

Will just raise the bar for the difficulty to at less 10 times more (I read it somewhere here or in a blog, still an answer say that will happen to miners, but not to BTC buyers) say 30,815,723,798.81. So a 600.0 GH instead of do 0.07638722 BTC per day as the actual next estimated, it will do 0.00979188 BTC.

Also... yeah... it seem that someone has already first 240 2TH (as reported first here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=356825.msg4837246#msg4837246 ) and now 440 2TH as I see from here :

ANd I see there this

Estimated Earnings
Your approximate maximum potential earnings at the current network difficulty of 3,815,723,798.81 and maintaining your 3-hour average hash rate of 898.78 Th/s is 118.45998459 BTC per day.

So one of my questions are

  • will you back out if you have less than 600 GH?
  • will you try to get a higher order miner (in the size of Tera Hash?)
  • How it is possible that such BTC address has that TH rate now?
  • you think one of the ASIC providers will be able to ship before the complexity get to high to even this new miners can't take more than some dollars each day?
  • Is really the future mining like it seems when this new technology comes finally out?
  • EXTRA ADDED:  also build one on your own will make it less profitable even to a point where you could not make a home made option because it will not be able to get back what you used for build it on first place at maybe some like 0.00000979 BTC per day [don't know if I do this calculation ok]

EDIT ADDED (please explain this to me, I don't get it :S)

Seem I haven't seen the whole picture https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate march 14 the max hash rate is 35,659,964 GH.

If I'm not wrong 35,659 TH and if the address is making 901.66 Th/s... it isn't making alone more hashing operations that the whole net?... lol.... I guess I failed in understand this.

I have been reading about this new machines that I guess there should be somewhere ready now?

Anyway... what will happen to CPU users that mine when all of this power comes out in the next 2-4 months???

I have read that the difficulty will go up 10 times or so... which will make those machines almost "normal" CPU (like the ones today).... so there will not be much new bleeding edge.

in the reffered address.

4  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Want to buy hardware on: March 04, 2014, 02:01:23 AM
Hi there, just wanted to enter bitcoin but being not in USA (mx here) Im not able to get an easy way to "buy"... via virwox I was barely able to buy 0,13600000 BTC... lol :S (and I will not be able to buy until a month I think because "limits" Tongue).

Anyway... now I think for my case, it will be best to buy some hardware (or build a dedicated PC... I have a titan GF... does it go well?) still I want to buy dedicated hardware.

Also reading here, I see that it is 99.9999999999999999999% that extreme hash [the one with 2.5TH, 5TH, 7.5Th] (or some like that is a scam).

I also see that for example that http://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv-2ths-networked-asic-miner/ seems to ship until June (and because here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison say in GREEN shipping... I guess they are no scam??).

Anyway...

  • if I wanted to *Start* in this week and not more than 15 March 2013 start mining with > 500 GH (at less 400 GH)... if possible go up to 1 TH. What are my options right now? (and that are not scams).

And I see that there are http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/

  • should I trust the quantity of bitcoins per day that I will get?
  • What is Less power costs?
  • What is Hardware break even?
  • where I can get a reference to what those things are... because I don't know almost all Tongue

I can't buy https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140107162747992Ce5uBuxW06D6 because I don't have BTC Tongue...

**** So I need to buy with cash (visa or paypal :S).

By the way... another extra question with this hardware could I also do mining for other coins?
