3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: June 13, 2014, 07:41:03 AM
A guy that I know, does spend his BItcoin like this.

He likes his Bitcoin's and would like to hold, but also spend them. So when he is seeing something that he wants to buy, or wants to order food he pays this with bitcoin,(if possible) then after he bought it, he buys back new bitcoin's for the same amount of what he just spend on the item.

Pizza: 0.0151746 BTC = 10$
Buys: 0.0151746 BTC back, so he doesn't loose his bitcoins, but he keeps the market moving around.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING: Potential 51% attack on Litecoin by GHash on: May 20, 2014, 07:41:05 PM
So it's not safe to stay in LTC anymore? Why do they let it become so high, if there is a 51% attack then lTC dies not?
(don't know exactly how 51% works)
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING: Potential 51% attack on Litecoin by GHash on: May 20, 2014, 03:59:02 PM
Bump,
I was just reading this, because i'm not a miner can someone say if this 51% attack is still on there? or it's not an issue anymore?

Tnx

Good story, happy for you. But you had some luck buying early and luck again selling high then to buy back in on a lower price. Many of the readers here bought late or are still holding and lost quite some money.

Well I to think with all the extra's bitcoin is bringing (merchants/atm,etc) it's still early, so just hodl on to the coins you have. But that's just what I do haha don't know if this is the right thing to do.

11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you also trade security's next to coins? on: May 07, 2014, 12:52:37 PM
The B is king

Meaning, you only trade Bitcoin?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Do you also trade security's next to coins? on: May 07, 2014, 12:21:24 PM
Hi there i'm a bit curious  Grin

I recently found out that next to the available coins, there are so called "securities" where you can trade in.
Things like companies, websites, co-op groups etc Security exchanges are sites like Crypto-stocks (https://cryptostocks.com/securities)

How many of you also trade in these securities?
Or did you not know what these where and that you could also trade these?

Tnx for commenting  Wink

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To whoever says bitcoin is only for criminals on: April 25, 2014, 07:26:51 AM
Yesterday I got a Whatsapp message from a friend of mine,
Did you read the newspaper
- No why
Bitcoin again in bad news, some guy made millions in drugs and got paid out in Bitcoin
- let me read it
......
You see Bitcoin is for drugs
-No man, just a guy who sold drugs on Silk road, old story!!!

Had to tell him how much drugs is sold daily with fiat and that is everyday in the news.
Did my Bitcoin story to him, but he has a point...people read BITCOIN DRUGS or BITCOIN PRICEDROP and they see bitcoin as negative.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending money to people who don't want to be found? on: April 22, 2014, 02:46:42 PM
Its bad that there are still to many shady company's in the bitcoin(alt) community. This is also why a lot of people don't dive in to Bitcoin, because of the trust issue. To bad some company's are like this, hope this changes fast.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't find any information on Nick Szabo, is he is who he says he is? on: April 22, 2014, 11:57:50 AM
Why this search of "who is" for Bitcoin its better if Satoshi stays a myth at this point maybe later, maybe never IMO

So stop the witchhunt!

18  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Simple solution for a safe privatekey? on: April 15, 2014, 02:45:43 PM
Hi there,

I was thinking about a brainwallet, but what if you loose or forget the passphrase then your F'ed
What if you take your private key, let's say this one (random one from bitaddress)

5JsMqmQ6PLR66wkzPGf8j47ertZSKi34H6q32n97s2KpDudymjT

and you take just a number or letter, and you put a +1.
So if you would take the 8th place of the private key(above) that's the nr 6 and you put +1 it gets 7.
If you would have a small letter you use a small letter+1 if its Cap you use a Cap +1.

5JsMqmQ7PLR66wkzPGf8j47ertZSKi34H6q32n97s2KpDudymjT

You now safe this on your paper wallet or somewhere else. If somebody takes your paperwallet or usb they don't have anything because only you know you changed one number/letter. Its also much simpler to remember. What do you think?
Was just an idea  Grin
