why ICO with duration of 1 year, is very long and the price of a coin is very little 1 Bitcoin UF = USD 0.001
yes, the ICO duration is long enough so that the sales of tokens meet their targets, the price is quite small because it has a large supply.
it's quite interesting I will follow the next development.

Thank you! Happy to have you around  Cheesy

if Bitcoin UF is the result of a fork a year in the future, ICO should not have to take place,
because surely Bitcoin UF will be given 1: 1 right?

I think you are missing the joke haha, have you seen the roadmap or even the whitepaper in the webpage? It reminds me at Ethereum Useless Token. And it looks like Bitcoin UF will be a ERC20 token, nothing really to do with Bitcoin itself asides from the name. Probably the creator is making a joke of Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Diamond, etc and all the Bitcoins coins in Coinmarketcap.

This guy Bitcoins!  Grin

Try to find the Nyan Cat on the webpage! Have a great Sunday!

Glad you liked it Tk Dinamics!

Hey Andri, thanks for the comment! The ICO period is to ensure the raising of funds, specially now that the crypto winter. The price is to have a High supply, as Asian exchanges like to list coins with really high supply, they believe it improves liquidity. 10 Billion Bitcoin UF would be in circulation if the total sale cap is reached.

Have a great Sunday!

9  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: July 22, 2019, 07:25:10 PM
Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

Universal money and Anonymous is the biggest strength of btc BTC, now every country follows KYC and then it can be controlled by someone.

Now KYC is trend in crypto market..... Cheesy
basically the concept of kyc is used to show the authenticity of data and the legality of the user to use the services of a company. even though it was very privacy but someone faced the choice to do it for his sake. I would rather see Kyc as proof of authenticity of data and clarity and truth that is very useful if someday there is a problem from a service to the user, then it can be checked to the original. I think overall for crypto it doesn't have to be, but for services such as exchanges, banks or services like that it should. for the security of the system too.

+1

Plus we are going to start seeing DEXes doing KYC. For example IDEX had to go through it in order to not be closed down by the regulators:
https://news.bitcoin.com/decentralized-exchange-idex-to-introduce-full-kyc/

What we need is a lot more regulations and insurance in the exchanges (not in the coins). To avoid things like cryptopia, quadriga, etc
10  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin if there is a global economic crash? on: July 16, 2019, 09:28:07 PM
In global crisis people won't run into a high volatile speculative asset. Also people won't even know how to do it.

The issues to enter the market are the same than 2 or 3 years ago. Too complicated for the average Joe. Unless hedge funds, pension managers, etc etc start getting into so people can invest on crypto and feel safe, nothing is going to happen.

Also remember that when there's a global crisis, people need money, so probably a lot already invested will cash out.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Monero then Hold? on: July 16, 2019, 09:10:08 PM
I wouldn't buy Monero as a speculative asset, I would buy Monero to use it...
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Libra the future anyone wants? on: July 16, 2019, 12:52:18 PM
The thing with Libra is the userbase is going to have by default. We are talking about Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp

Instagram - 1 billion monthly active user
WhatsApp - 1.5 billion active users
Facebook - 1.7 billion active users

To put this into perspective
Coinbase - 13 million users

(all this data is from Google search btw)

They will easily become the most used token in the moment they release it. Also it will "enable banking" to a lot of people that only have a mobile phone and not a bank account. They will probably win the race as well of being easy to use as everything will be done in the background.

I don't like Facebook as a company, and there are a lot of privacy concerns. But also this could open the door for a lot of people into the crypto market or be used a fiat gateway.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fact about Cryptos on: July 16, 2019, 12:44:06 PM
The US can control the exchanges on the US, also they will probably ask for proof of transactions if you want to cash out. And if you bought a token/coin that's against US regulations being a US citizen you could probably have problems too.

Thing is a big part of crypto is trading, and going from fiat to crypto and crypto to fiat, and they can definitely control that.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Replace Banks? on: July 14, 2019, 08:29:57 AM
No, Banks are already and will end up using blockchain technology. But everything is going to be in the backend. They have millions and millions to spend on development, they can just hire the best blockchain developers in the world and start integrating it on their system.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we ever have altcoin season again. on: July 13, 2019, 08:04:39 PM
since the beginning of this year. bitcoin dominance has tremendously affected the altcoin markets. when bitcoins raises, altcoin move very slowly but when it goes down. altcoins are heavily affected.  Are we going to see any major bull market for altcoin again. we are already in the third quarter of the year. i am concerned because i strongly believed in altcoins more than bitcoin.

Will it come back? Most probably. Will it be the whole market like xmas 2017? I doubt it.  We will probably see some projects rising into the top 100 for sure, but If I were to invest now I would stay at the top of the list, those will be the first to follow the bitcoin rise.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy tokens with credit card. on: July 13, 2019, 07:56:35 PM
Hi altcoiners,

where can I buy erc20 tokens with my credit card without being scammed?
thanks in advance.

Most of the services I know have a horrendous fee when buying directly with debit/credit card.

I would say buy Ethereum/Bitcoin and then use that to buy your altcoins. You can create an account in Coinbase, Binance also offers the option to buy with credit card:
https://www.binance.com/en/creditcard

Just be careful, and buy what you can afford to lose.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative to Coinbase? on: July 13, 2019, 04:40:48 PM
So, Binance bans all US users, I'm in the US, is there a more anonymous yet reliable exchange to use that is similar to coinbase? If so please let me know.

All the exchanges track you somehow, specially if you need to give away KYC. The more "anonymous" ones would decentralized exchanges (DEX).

If you are willing to use Coinbase, you have Coinbase Pro, Gemini and Kraken.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUYBACK TOKENS SOLVES DUMPING on: July 13, 2019, 04:19:17 PM
Depending of the volume of the coin is a good or a bad idea, plus could let to some people to sell off before the team buys, drop the price and then buy again. Also if the volume in general is low the team could end up controlling a really high % of the circulating supply. Maybe investing in market making and having some sort of burn mechanism would be a better idea if what you want is a non-inflationary supply.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD? on: July 13, 2019, 04:08:04 PM
Bear markets are actually the best time to buy if you are an investors. Plus it removes away a lot of the hype/influencers and vaporware. And for the projects is the time to develop and create business models where the companies can survive independently of the price of the coin/token. Bear Markets are good.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: July 13, 2019, 03:52:34 PM
I believe CZ will do anything possible to cripple up BNB in the charts and they got tons of cash to spend on development. Let's see what happens when they implement smart contracts and how is it going to play against ETH. At the end of the day 99% of the people out there don't even know what decentralize means or even care about it.
