1  Other / Off-topic / What is Smerit and what is the point behind it and how do you Receive it? on: July 30, 2019, 08:40:36 PM
I don't understand the concept of Smerit or the incentive to receive or how to receive them or what reason there is to Send one to someone. I received 2 Smerit and Sent one to someone who helped Me is that the purpose bit confused about this?
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 30, 2019, 08:30:49 PM
I picked Electrum due to the idea it was the most user friendly. Now I don't know what to but shove my thumb up my butt.
3  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 29, 2019, 09:04:43 AM
Well what am I supposed to do wait for these Websites to Update the Bitcoin Codes. lmfao I am such a moron for thinking "Oh a Desktop Wallet like Electrum that everyone raves about being safer than Web Wallet Accounts or whatever your exact terminology for it is but that is OFF-TOPIC! What is ON-TOPIC is I am now stuck with an Electrum Wallet on my Computer with like a lot Money I thought it would be more SAFE but it clearly is not as I can't spend it.

How many Years do I have to wait for these Websites specifically www.blockchain.com Accounts to Accept my darn Bitcoin from my Electrum Wallet which I NEVER EVER SHOULD OF DOWNLOADED! I'm ready cry to here I spent hours and hours and hours of Researching to get nowhere but here.

In another Thread or somewhere I read my Seed Key is not going to be able Idk what people were talking about as if I'm not New to Electrum but what is a Root Key and how do I get it since I am planning to get a New Hard-Drive which is the reason I am trying to Send my Bitcoin to another Wallet on a different Computer until my New one is fully working.

So how do I get my Root Key or whatever is required of Me to do in Order for my Money not to be lost forever if my Hard-Drive fails on Me for Example while I wait Months or years or half a decade or a decade until my Money can be Sent to these "Outdated Websites" can someone please Me at least with this part?
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 29, 2019, 07:36:20 AM
The Segwit Wallet won't allow my Bitcoins to be Sent to anyone because of unknown reasons to Me. It seems my Money is completely stuck in my Electrum Wallet since nobody can seem to help me it will take Years for them to make it so the new "Receive BC1 Addresses" etc.

I have followed the advice of everyone and it has got Me nowhere but wasting countless Hours trying to get my Bitcoin out of this Electrum Wallet which I wish I never Downloaded and just stayed with my www.blockchain.com Account. I can't even Send the Bitcoin back to the blockchain Account. I don't know what to do about this problem as I don't even know how to explain it in PERFECT Technical Terms so everyone understands my specific problem which is I can't Send Money to ANYONE from my Electrum Wallet it is sitting there just loosing Value as my Bitcoin worth has gone down by like 10$ or some but hopefully it bounces back up and I can figure this out with the help of people here.

I have Updated to Electrum Wallet Version 3.3.8 by the way or whatever the Newest Version is in hopes that it would fix my horrible issue as the Segwit and or Legacy Wallet does not seem to be allowing Me to Send the Bitcoin from the Segwit Wallet to Legacy Wallet or the Wallet that has my Bitcoin will literally not be Accepted by ANYONE'S WALLET why is that!?
5  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 27, 2019, 09:59:16 PM

I tried Sending that last of my money but it simply just says to Me "Invalid Amount" which makes totally zero sense at all.
You will only get that error I guess if you send with insufficient or 0 balance. Having set your currency as USD and sending in BTC will do I guess, but having set your currency in BTC and sending in USD will have an error.

How do I fix this as I think this might be the problem I was copying and pasting the amount in Bitcoin into the Electrum Wallet and trying to Send it. Except it says BTC right next to the spot where you type in the Bitcoin Amount. I made a New Wallet that is a Legacy instead of Segwit Wallet which I am trying to Send the Money to the Legacy Wallet due to the BC1 Receive Address won't let Me Receive or Send Bitcoin. Except it says BTC next to the Send Bitcoin thing on the Electrum Wallet?

Back in the early 1900s, cowboys in America's West ate a lot of pork and beans. Pork-and-bean companies made lots of money selling pork and beans to the cowboys.

In those days, there were many Mexican cowboys (vaqueros) working with the American cowboys. But these vaqueros didn't buy or eat pork and beans, even though they worked right along side their American counterparts.

The pork-and-bean companies couldn't understand this, so they did a study to see if they could find out why. What they found is that Mexicans like leftovers. So now we have...

... refried beans.

Lol I enjoyed reading this if I had sMerit or whatever the exact Term for being able to Send a Merit point to another person on the Forum.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 will bring big changes? on: July 07, 2019, 08:57:32 AM
I am really interested in Ethereum and Altcoins in general. I suppose I should just lurk around the "Altcoins Sub-Forum" before Posting a Thread of any kind to see what I may or may not learn from the Threads being made in here. Any of the Posts people are making are probably going to greatly helpful as the Replies to the questions despite not being of any help to Me it might be in the future more knowledge is always a good thing lol, am I right or what.
8  Bitcoin / Electrum / Just Downloaded Electrum 3.3.6 and all my Bitcoin is stuck in my Electrum Wallet on: July 07, 2019, 03:51:44 AM
What did I do wrong? I set up an Electrum Wallet Account and from I can tell from the reading. In the threads here and googling it is that I need to Restore my Wallet and change it to Legacy option or some other option so it uses a New BC1 being first 3 Letters and Number for the Receiving Address. I can't Send out any of my Bitcoin and I got like 200USD in it right now how do I get it out?

I tried Sending that last of my money but it simply just says to Me "Invalid Amount" which makes totally zero sense at all. I went to New/Restore Wallet and tried using my Seed Code to make a new Wallet despite Selecting the "Legacy" Option instead of the other two options which WERE SEGWIT and SEGWIT SOMETHING wooPS Caps Lock... I Sent out 200USD to a different place but it's the www.blockchain.com Web Account "Wallet" thing.

I was planning to Send the Money to that Account on ww.blockchain.com and then Sending it to the intended Wallet I couldn't Send to from my Electrum Wallet which never worked out the way I planned.

Am I doing the "New/Restore" the Electrum Wallet wrong or something? Or am I simply going to have to let my 200USD in Bitcoin sit in my Electrum 3.3.6 Version until a New Version comes out for other Wallets and www.blockchain.com Web Accounts Wallets or whatever manage to start using what I understand is a new form of Receiving Address that starts with a BC1?

If someone could please please help Me as I am ready to just cry over here I would be ETERNALLY grateful for your help. I am on Eastern Standard Time and it is getting late I will finish the rest of details of this Post unless I get some Replies before then i am so tired I can't keep my eye lids open to finish typing for another second or I will be making countless typos.

Okay that makes sense thank you.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New to Bitcoin got a few questions. on: July 02, 2019, 02:58:40 AM
Point I am trying to make is if it Connects to the Internet it is a "HOT Wallet" whether it is a "Online Desktop/Web Account Wallet" unless it is a "Cold Wallet" on a Computer with an Electrum Wallet Installed on a Computer not ever used Online etc. etc.
What is a hot wallet, your Leger wallet?
Don't let the terms confuse you. Your ledger device will be connected to the internet but security wise you have nothing to worry about. Your private keys never leave the 'safe spot' on your hardware wallet. Even when you send and sign transactions.

All you have to do is keep your 24 words seed phrase secure and make sure that it isn't saved on your computers or used online in any way.
Even when you use your Ledger together with Electrum you will not be asked to enter your seed.

So to be clear... if it were to ever get stolen by someone they can't access my Wallet through my Ledger Nano S? Plus my Computer etc.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New to Bitcoin got a few questions. on: July 01, 2019, 03:30:13 AM
I think I explained this wrong a little here... I did not mean to ask about the I.D. Login Address meant for Me only but the Sending Address to the Person which I wrote an example of what I think I need to do just using a receiving Address Information from Coinmama.com

"How will you know that it was Me who sent the Bitcoin. What details should I provide besides the product I ordered and the amount of money and Bitcoin I sent and what time I sent it? Is there anything else I can do to make sure you can confirm my purchase which I plan to make either today or tomorrow." the Email Reply was "You can Send us your Bitcoin Transaction I.D."

This is the question I asked the person who said I can just Send Him the "Bitcoin Transaction I.D." right now I am simply using www.blockchain.com "Online Web Wallet" or whatever the exact Name I repeatedly get quoted on Calling it "This or that" you all have your personal definition of a "Hot Wallet" but from what I understand unless it is a "Cold Wallet" like a Computer Offline before someones explains the obvious of what a "Cold Wallet" is which I read and tried creating an Electrum Account and now I got Money I can't get out of that damn Account because it has a new BC1 Receive Address and I assume Sending Address.

Point is I am planning to Buy a Ledger Nano S instead of the X as what someone Posted in a thread somewhere it's just "storage capacity is bigger for the Ledger Nano X". Hence it is more expensive and it's made partially of Glass or something and prone to breaking if it falls". Point I am trying to make is if it Connects to the Internet it is a "HOT Wallet" whether it is a "Online Desktop/Web Account Wallet" unless it is a "Cold Wallet" on a Computer with an Electrum Wallet Installed on a Computer not ever used Online etc. etc. so I figured instead of going through all that hassle it would probably be easier and less of a problem to

That all being said I went onto my Blockchain.com Online Web Wallet Account and all it says is after I clicked on the Received address it gave Me the details which is from Coinmama.com do I just Copy and Paste this Information but for the Sent Address when I go Send the Bitcoin Payment to my Receiving Bitcoin User for my purchase I am planning to make?

If anyone can help Me figure this out and once I figure out how the "Merit Points System" works I will be sure to Send you a Merit Point not sure how much that means to anyone that offers Me help incentive to do so but I am stuck in a between a rock and a hard place right now. I was very tired when I typed the OP... I am currently working the "Night Shifts" and sleeping very few Hours in the Day so I am barely home and when I am I can barely think.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / New to Bitcoin got a few questions. on: June 30, 2019, 05:41:10 AM
I got a person asking Me for my "You can give us the Bitcoin transaction ID" and I am New to Bitcoin Transactions so does this mean the Sending Wallet Address I used to Send the Bitcoin.
13  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Think I've been Phished on: June 28, 2019, 02:24:43 PM
OUCH! That sucks! I am planning to look into Hardware Wallets myself for this exact specific reason. I am very sorry that this happened to you... at least you know to be more vigilant now am I right? Lol  Smiley
14  Other / Off-topic / Hey just Introducing myself! on: June 28, 2019, 02:05:28 PM
Hey it is porkandbeansboy and I just thought I'd Introduce myself here. Considering the fact there is no Official Introduction Thread I thought it would be fine to make a post here. Oh and what exactly are Merit and how do you acquire them as in give them away?

One last "Newbie Question" I was told by someone in Order for them to know I Payed the Amount of Bitcoin they asked for by providing them with a "Bitcoin transaction ID" what does that mean is it the Number right next to the Bitcoin Transaction Amount after I make the Payment or something like that?

I wish to become a productive Member of what I hope will be a very friendly and great Forum overall that will help Me learn what Bitcoin is all about completely that is all Sincerely Porkandbeansboy.  Grin
