1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: February 06, 2021, 09:17:51 AM
There are many exchanges. Each exchange has different preferences. Personally I prefer secure and accessibility exchanges. I think there are a few features to keep in mind when choosing a crypto exchange. Features are: Completely secure, requires KYC verification, lower withdraw and trading and of course easy for contact service

Yes, that is so and your statement is true. It can be difficult to choose an exchange from the many existing ones based on your own preferences. What a good exchange is can be defined in 2 ways:
- on personal experience, for a long time and with possible mistakes.
- take advantage of the experience of other people, which seems preferable to me.
For example, people sometimes write exchange reviews about their experience, like here - https://cryptototem.com/okcoin-review/. Of course, this does not give 100% guarantees. There is no substitute for personal experience.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the best crypto exchange? on: January 30, 2021, 12:22:36 PM
In my opinion, these exchanges are good.
Coinbase:
The most renowned cryptocurrency exchange in the US, Coinbase, has fully secured various altcoin choices. It comes with a rudimentary user interface perfect for rookies and very high liquidity. Although it may have high fees without the premium version, and users may not have access to wallet key control, the wallets are custodial and insured.

Cash App:
Cash App is a money transfer system that allows exchanges between peers, like Zelle or Venmo, while having the aptitude of withdrawing Bitcoin or cryptocurrency to individual wallets. Not to mention, the simplistic user interface works well for beginners. Keep in mind that 3% of the currency charged during transfer through a linked credit card. Investment in stocks, ETFs, and cryptocurrency made as well.

Binance:
Offering lower fees than other most used exchanges, Binance is the optimal choice when it comes to altcoin trading. It currently holds the ranking for the most trading space done globally, causing a good amount of trading exchanges taking place on a daily basis.

I like Coinbase too. What I would not say about the other 2. Nothing personal, it's just a matter of taste. Coinbase platform seems user-friendly to me, has a safe and convenient cryptowallet and one more important advantage is deposit insurance.  Actually, I'm not very demanding and my choice is more likely due to habit. More details about this crypto exchange can be found here - https://cryptototem.com/coinbase-review/.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: February 15, 2020, 10:02:19 AM
It's been a long time since the project was launched. Hyip on crypt kitties is not gone yet? Does anyone else sell kittens for 250 eth? What reviews can you give about that game? I was looking for the opinion of ordinary people, but here https://revain.org/blockchain-games/cryptokitties, for example, I found a few reviews only.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins or Bitcoin? on: December 16, 2019, 04:08:41 PM
Well, if Bitcoin's price is high, other cryptocurrencies are profitable too. So, now it's great time to buy and hold and when btc will rise, altcoins will rise too. Of course, it's hard to compare some of them to btc but it doesn't mean that they are not promising at all. I've been wondering about buying IOTA, because it will be available on CoinDeal soon. What do you think about this coin?

In fact, you are reasoning correctly. I agree with you that need to buy altcoins when they have fallen in price, as it is now. It will be a good bargain, if in the future there will be a increase in prices. But the problem is that no one knows which altcoin will be profitable. In principle, people respond well to IOTA and have good ratings: https://revain.org/projects/iota. But my personal opinion is that I don't believe in the future of this coin. I would prefer Bitcoin. But here is the problem. It is now quite expensive. Now, if the book was worth 10 times cheaper...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: November 22, 2019, 09:37:57 AM
Why would someone call ETH as Scam it is really weird, it is the base of tons of erc-20 tokens. Many projects exist thanks to ethereum blockchain. I am expecting a nice increase of ETH in 2-3 years, I am going to buy some and hodl when I have enough funds.

I don’t think ETH is scam. At least we have no proofs that the project is scam. Therefore, it’s too early to talk about it. Most people in this forum have a positive opinion about ethereum. Other resources are also quite positive reviews: https://revain.org/projects/ethereum. For those who want to buy and believe in growth, now is a good time. If someone believes that the project is scam, then what prevents you from selling eth and not buying more?

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: need help is YoBit.Net scam on: October 15, 2019, 03:37:50 PM
You are not scam by yobit, you are scam by someone, it's only proven a scam by yobit if that person who recruit you is connected to yobit.

May I ask what coin did you deposit to yobit because if that is crypto you can withdraw it anytime without condition.

In any case, this leaves a negative imprint on yobit. Some users still have complaints about this exchange, which suggests that not everything is as good as we would like. Although there is https://revain.org/exchanges/yobit quite positive reviews, but the forum has negative comments from people. From personal experience, I can add that I had no problems with yobit, although I only used it a couple of times.

7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Huobi Exchange Review: Is it the Best Cryptocurrency Exchange in 2019? on: October 01, 2019, 05:48:20 PM
Sorry, but i dont believe in reviews that names something the best. But this one was intersting to read

It really is. There is nothing best in the world. There are always both positive and negative sides. Exchanges are no exception. I will say more, Huobi too. Those and other Huobi reviews can be found here: https://revain.org/exchanges/huobi. I don't think that need to use only one exchange and this particular one. I prefer to trade on several exchanges at once. Huobi is one of them.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OKEX vs Bitmex on: September 19, 2019, 07:44:29 AM
Guys, I switched from trading on Bitmex to Okex.
I know that most of you use bitmex as the only crypto exchange for margin trading, but I prefer Okex. To be honest I've been trading futures on Okex even before I got registered on Bitmex.

Advantages:
-there aren't overloads,
-there are more trading pairs,
-smaller fees (on Bitmex fees are incredible, especially on withdrawal and if you have small balance , withdrawal fee is getting major part of your deposit)
-on Okex you can withdraw funds immediately unlike bitmex (once a day)
-UI and number of chart analysis instruments on Okex is more attractive for me
-price tick is smaller on Okex 0.1$ vs 0.5$ for bitcoin. Sometimes I think that price on bitmex isn't moving.
- mobile application. I have access to trading terminal 24/7 with mobile app on Okex
- sms notifications when you margin maintenance is in the risk zone. It prevents liquidation, they take care about your risks.

I NEVER experienced freeze at the moment of fast movement. This is the most important thing. What is more I think that Bitmex is hunting on stop losses of huge whales, so Okex is a diversification for you and the way to avoid being a victim of liquidation wave (spikes are stronger on bitmex)

Disadvantages:
Regarding their product.
They have introduced perpetual swaps recently, product is a bit raw, because there aren't stop losses, but I had a talk with support and they promised to deliver this feature asap. So I think after adding stop losses they can compete with bitmex. Personally I don't care about it, because I use futures due to absence of  funding rate and I don't want to pay extra fee daily for borrowing assets.

If you have any questions about derivatives or Okex features, I am ready to help.

So what do you think?

[mod note: removed referral link spam]

I would not so categorically make a choice in favor of a particular exchanger. There are no universal solutions and for each situation you need to choose the most profitable exchange at the moment. I prefer to use bitmex and okex. It all depends on my goals at the moment. If you still want to choose one of them, then I recommend reading reviews about them: https://revain.org/exchanges/bitmex and https://revain.org/exchanges/okex
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Bitstamp mobile app on: September 07, 2019, 04:12:56 AM
Currently, you can not do without mobile apps. In particular, it is necessary for trade, as you always carry a phone with you. It is good that Bitstamp has added the ability to use the functions of its platform on a mobile app. Of course, the news is no longer new, but information on support for mobile trading must be added to the reviews: https://revain.org/exchanges/bitstamp
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges are not recommended. on: September 01, 2019, 10:19:47 AM
As you know new exchanges launching every day, you should not join every exchange and that exchange have a good ranking in coinmarketcap that should be joined, I have a bad experience with HITBTC, don't join this exchange because of freezing accounts.

Reviews about HITBTC exchange are very controversial. Some complain about this exchange, others cann't say anything bad. I belong to the second category. This doesn't mean that users cann't have problems on HITBTC exchange. I can't say anything about that. I just didn't have a negative experience with them.

This topic useful, but very few write their history here. Maybe the use of specialized sites? Here, you can get the most complete information about the exchange, which we talked about - https://revain.org/exchanges/hitbtc

By the way, the exchange is not the highest ratings. I think that's something to think about HITBTC.

As many people are probably aware Binance has a section on there site called Binance Academy. https://www.binance.vision/
That is a good place for Newbies to understand basic information regarding cryptocurrencies, blockchain and security.

Another interesting thing that many people probably know about but most newbies are maybe not aware of is that they also have a Phishing Quiz that you can take to understand the different tricks that scammers try to use to gain access to your accounts and your personal information.

In this quiz you will learn to differentiate legit websites from fake/phishing sites.
How to recognise a fake email.
How to spot Telegram scams.

All this is important if you are a beginner in the crypto world and don't have much experience with overall computer security.

Take the quiz and don't be shy to post your results or any concerns you may have.

Useful information for people like me. Thank you for sharing these links. This was new to me, especially with regards to phishing. It is good that such an exchange as binance creates such educational materials. I also want to do something useful for others, so I'll leave this link https://revain.org/exchanges/binance . Here you can find reviews about various exchanges. In this case, about binance. The advantage of this site is that all reviews are stored in the blockchain and are not subject to corrections. Never.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange is better than binance? on: August 26, 2019, 06:54:14 PM
Even I dont like their BNB pump strategy, still, Binance is the number one exchange for me at the moment. After lend/borrow and OCO feature I am using more than ever Binance.

Yes, indeed Binance has been a leader recently. Despite many positive points, that exchanger has some problems.
You can read more in the negative reviews here: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/binance.com - The average review score was only 2 points. What I think is very small for such a popular and well-known exchange like Binance.
https://revain.org/exchanges/binance - On this resource, the score is already higher, almost the maximum - 4.7 points. Perhaps this is due to the fact that this project is based on the blockchain and reviews can not be changed. In any case, it is always important to know the opinions and reviews of other users of the exchange.
