How do you rent mining power?

So if awesome miner is only supposed to take 2.8% as dev fees then "WTF !"(excuse my language) why do they have more damn shares then I do on my f-ing miner and at a slightly higher difficulty than my shares "WTF!"(Aagain sorry for that language outburst) But, considering I'm in a solo pool are these people fixing to steal my one in a million chance that I may never get and if I do may never see of getting a block?? If so just know I will more than likely become a professional tracker and search out people person for no particular reason at all just to say HI! Lol joking I wouldn't ever do anything to someone who jacked me for shy of $300k. Ha ha lol 
So the topic is how do track people or how do I keep snazzy developers from taking away my chances? Do I immediately delete awesome miner and just use my miner by itself. ANYONE HELP PLEASE! I am obviously losing my mind over this scenario. Thank you for any discussion that may provide bearing on this possibility.
