a) Is working the testing net of digibyte? ... Because the wallet (in testing mode) don't receive blocks and no connect to the network .

b) Is the Digibyte's Groestl implementation the same to MyriadCoin Groestl?

c) Is using a specific groestl implementation?

And you're right about digibyte.conf tips, this is not the file I need to change, after reviewing the digibyted options, I see the testnet param  only I need lauch digibyted  with -testnet option  at commandline, and specific the algo to test in digibyte.conf

Currently in groestl I have 15 MH/s by now. You are right, Is a good idea test all in testnet daemon, I will run some test there  .

I'm not 100% sure if digibyte use a specific groestl implementation, I'm based on this comment : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.msg8888673#msg8888673  and in this pool Digibyte's Groestl information : https://v2.cryptopoolmining.com/dgb-groestl/index.php

But if I check digibyte network information directly from daemon it say  "difficulty_groestl" : 127.54058916 " and official thread, algo section it say clearly "Groestl" : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.0 I'm bit confused  

I'll run some runs in testnetwork in groestl algo before , and later I'll send to you all logs files

I checked some P2Pool Scrypt , and all say no miners in pool :

First ,let me congratulate you, your Stratum Server is very very nice in all sense!: configuration, stability, Performance , And really I want use it forever  ....

Currently I'm testing it with Digibyte Coin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.0 in Scrypt algo mode in a Unix box, after some hours of testing (10hrs), I didn't receive any coins to my wallet (server and personal wallet), I'll ask later to Digibyte Dev Team if Scrypt chain have issues (is possible, because Digibyte recently migrate it chain to a multi-algo mining) ...

Well, Digibyte coin have other algo option to mining : groestl ....

Some hours later of test (6hrs) in Groestl mode,   I didn't receive any coins in the wallets (server and personal wallet) ...

Reading Digibyte Groestl pool technical specification , I see  that Digibyte's Groestl implemetantion is the same  to Myriadcoin Groestl, currently I'm mining here : https://v2.cryptopoolmining.com/dgb-groestl/  without issues 

But I have some questions, :

a) Why in Scrypt mode I don't receive coins after 10 hrs ?
b) Is possible integrate Myriadcoin Groestl algo to you stratum server ? ...


About "a" question,  What configurations / logs files need from my server? I can help you in all test process  ...

Well in this time, I'm posting a guide to compile Digibyte on FreeBSD 10 x86-64, using stock C/C++ compiler (Clang) :


How to build Digibyte on FreeBSD 10 x86 64


1) cd /usr/src/ports/devel/boost-all/ && make install clean

2) cd /usr/src/ports/databases/db48/ && make install clean

3) cd /usr/src/ports/devel/protobuf/ && make install clean

4) Download Digibyte from GitHub

   4.1) git clone https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProject.git

5) Apply patches :

5.1) cd DigibyteProject/src
5.2) patch scrypt-sse2.cpp < patch_scrypt-sse2.cpp.diff
5.3) patch scrypt.cpp < patch_scrypt.cpp.diff
5.4) patch scrypt.h < patch_scrypt.h.diff
5.5) patch util.h < patch_util.h.diff

6) Compile Digibiyte :

6.1) cd ..
6.2) ./autogen.sh
6.3) ./configure --disable-tests
6.4) gmake -j [number of cpu cores]

7) Manual install binary:

7.1) cd src && cp -v digibyte* [ your location/directory ] 

Create a digibyte.conf file in the binary file location , for example:

8.1) nano /home/digibyte/.digibyte/digibyte.conf

add:

10) You can manage digibyte wallet with digibyte-cli for example

./digibyte-cli -rpcconnect=192.168.0.10 -rpcport=14022 -rpcuser=yourusername -rpcpassword=yourpassword help

I'm testing currently this release , exactly x64 build :

- I can receive and sent DGB to others accounts (My main testing receiver DGB account was AGX.io and my secondary is a Android Wallet)
- Wallet backup & restore working perfectly
- Synchronize with DGB network without issue, I feel this version sync more fast with DGB network compared with v2.0.
- Ui Improvements are welcome 

Only one minor issue in UI, but not affect wallet functionality : http://s27.postimg.org/ewdnbld03/ui_bug.png -- the html code in the message "</br"  in Spanish translate

I could finally (after some hours of work ) compile digigyted on FreeBSD 10 x64 =) (1)

The makefiles supplied on Github don't work on FreeBSD 10, and don't compile with stock Clang...is necessary do more work.

Digibyte's client in FreeBSD ports is currently unavailable =(, so, I decided try compile myself and help to add new users to Digibyte.

I think with this new wallet now running on FreeBSD, we can add more DigiBytes users...

FreeBSD is a very very powerful Operating System and have a large community around the world .

Now is possible get more secure and stable pools (comparing it with Linux), currently FreeBSD have a B2 classification very close to be B1 in the Trusted Computer System Evaluation Criteria (TCSEC) better know as Orange Book (2).

I can make a 'step by step' guide to get digibyted running on FreeBSD , If Digibyte's dev team or someone is interested .
