2  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fides Exchange on: April 24, 2020, 10:35:58 PM

Mission
What do BTC-e, Poloniex, Cryptsy, Bter, Bitcurex, and Cryptopia (to name some) have in common? All of these exchanges failed. In a clear majority of the failures, users have lost all of their holdings. The common thread with all of these failed exchanges: no corporate governance. The group behind this project has been directly affected by all of those exchange failures. Each one of us has lost time, coins, and faith in cryptocurrency exchanges. An exchange that operates openly, honestly, and transparently is needed.

Goals
Fides Exchange stands for the transparent and honest operations of a cryptocurrency exchange. The exchange takes security, support, and service very seriously having already seen how most exchanges handle these matters. Communication will not be sporadic or non-existent. Standard financial market practices are followed. Decisions are made as a group for the benefit of the exchange and users, not individuals.

How it works
Fides Exchange centers around key principles of blockchain. Decision making at all levels is decentralized to all directors of the exchange, governing board members, and investors. Months have been spend building the business procedures and operations and not built around the technology.

The core principles of the exchange:
- All investors and shareholders will be have access to the P&L statements.
- All investors, shareholders, and directors are a part of the decision process (voting).
- All directors will be required to vote on all issues on the exchange.
- There is no hierarchical structure where decision-making is consolidated.
- Investors and shareholders will vote on future exchange services and features.
- Security, service, and support are paramount
- Investors and shareholders will always be given dividends with a complete accounting
- Account audits will be performed and published annually
- Legal representation from the start

It will be interesting to see if communities can sustain this unusual market.

6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto a single person? on: October 15, 2019, 07:04:32 AM
Anyone's guess as to the identity of whom Satoshi is as good as the next.. unless your Craig Wright or any of  in his group.

For all we know Satoshi could be 1 person or a group of people.
We may never find out or we might find out tomorrow, in any case there's too much emphasis put on whomever Satoshi is.

Bitcoin and it's future is all that matters and I think that's why Satoshi doesn't want to come public.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins better or stable during bitcoin lot of movement on: October 15, 2019, 06:45:04 AM
it is noted last eight to nine months that bitcoin is not stable.bitcoins movement is very uncertain due to this altcoin are very badly affected. So it is necessary to predict movement of bitcoin to avoid unnecessary loss in altcoins.

It is note able that almost all altcoins are now 80%to 90% negative from their all time high due to this happen only bitcoin uncertainty.
Now this is not clear what happen to next on bitcoin near future because bitcions dominance is increasing and altcoin crasing. So becareful if you holding any atcons for long term investment ...

This shouldn't be a surprise, look at what happened in 2008-2009 in the Stock market crashes, Ford stock dropped all the way down to $1.47 at one point. does that mean it's a terrible company? were they running it terribly?

The Answer: Nope! they didn't need any bailouts and the only real reason was fear around the world and the big credit crunches as people needed money and the deflation that was happening at the time.

It's normal for markets to move up and for markets to move down. Of course Crypto is more extreme in it's swings but it's a new asset/currency class so swings in either direction will be more pronounced.

Don't invest more than you can afford to lose or you can do without for a long period of time decided on well in advance of investing.

I do feel that there is hope in the future in late 2020 into 2021 for Crypto to have it's next bull run.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The One Thing That Could Stop Bitcoin on: October 09, 2019, 06:30:11 AM
If China stopped all activity bitcoin related to BTC it would for that period of time lower the hashrate of BTC.
Dealing with transactions until the next Difficulty update would make transactions terribly slow due to the high difficulty and lower mining power, but that would be a temporary thing. BTC's Difficulty has gone up and down over the last 10+ years and it will continue to fluctuate over time as well.
Not much in the long term would change for BTC if China stopped all BTC related Activities.
That's the point of Decentralization, one groups stops and others would come in due to the possibility of profits.
If China banned BTC it might actually shoot the BTC price up!  Smiley
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for a poor newbie on: October 08, 2019, 03:16:57 AM
I think the most important advice I can give you in reference to getting into crypto isn't in trying to find the next gem coin to make money on.
Learn how crypto works 1st, learn the technology, how crypto has evolved, and will evolve over time.
Do that before you ever invest one more cent into crypto!

Bitcoin is king for a reason!
Buy bitcoin 1st and then as you learn, in time, then buy some alts but do your own due diligence 1st! don't just buy what others tell you to buy, research then research some more.

Right now many alts are dying out due to the "crypto winter" and their current prices aren't the most important consideration to look for. you want projects that can continue to weather through this time and have quality built into them not fly by night gimmicks.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 10% ROI every day offer? on: October 08, 2019, 03:05:34 AM
Anyone promising that sort of ROI is just waving reg flags!
Never fall for it! guard your BTC and Crypto.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: October 08, 2019, 02:49:17 AM
It's possible that ATM's can increase the amount of users for BTC but the fees being charged to buy need to be kept lower than some ATM companies are charging.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 05, 2019, 06:01:01 PM
I Would say buying Bitcoin needs to be considered a long term investment in not just the BTC you buy but in the quality of life you would like to have.

BTC is just over 10 years 9 months old as I tend to see the January 3rd date being BTC's Birthday.
BTC and the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem is currency 2.0 and Assets 2.0 compared to "Cash" and "Stocks"
There are many stinker ALTS still but that's part of the Laboratory of altcoins to test out new ideas and new theories.
The next 9 - 39 years for crypto are going to ever more revolutionary for crypto than the 1st 10 years have been in my opinion.
We'll have mass adoption in that time though many people won't be realizing they are using crypto.
