Is there a way to use a regular power supply like this one - http://www.ebay.com/itm/400633139181?var=670187426663&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

Or must I necessarily mess with the wires?

yep that works

Would 5 amps be enough to run in dual mode does anyone know?

Single mode is 6W 12V .5A max 10W 12V .84A dual mode is 60w 12V 5A max 100W 12V 8.4A so I would say the 7AMP recommendation is SPOT ON for providing max needed power for dual mode!

So if you are running in Scrypt mode we can safely say 1Amp/1,000ma provided will be a standard number and plenty of power for scrypt mode.

Once cablez finalizes a standardized design he will be able to send out a lot of orders pretty quick.

Awesome, thanks so much.
