1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Area 51 / Bob Lazar: Do you believe him? on: July 24, 2019, 07:20:08 PM
I thought the Joe Rogan podcast was more interesting than the documentary.

I haven't watched the documentary, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Are you going to storm area 51?

1. Hell No
2. Not that I would even consider it, but there's no real purpose. If the government was holding anything there, it's gone now due to the publicity Area 51 has garnered over the years.

Except, according to Bob himself, he doesn't have a "business" model. He hasn't profited off the story, and any money generated has been sent to charities.

Quote
"If Lazar is a hoaxster, as many claim, I'm hard-pressed to understand what he actually got out of this whistleblowing. He certainly hasn't profited. For the most part, Lazar has shunned the spotlight and attempted to distance himself from UFOs while coping with relentless attacks on his character and credibility."

If what he says is true and he makes zero from his claims (which I doubt) then I would say he's probably just a fantasist rather than a fraudster. Some fantasists are just mentally ill, whilst others are just insecure about their lack of achievements, but others will also make claims to try enrich themselves. Regardless of the reasoning fantasists often make claims because they just want to be a part of something or go down in history as important in some capacity. You get it quite a lot with people claiming to have been in the army especially claiming to have fought in certain wars (which is called stolen valor) or people claiming to have degrees/doctorates or qualifications they never had or earned. As people say, extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence and that's where I lie with Bob. If this guy was privy to so much of this information then surely we would have more than just his word. If he had access to all this stuff then I'm sure he could have just as easily taken a few pictures or taken some sort of physical proof but that obviously becomes impossible if he never had access to these things in the first place.

I believe him because he simply didn't had any "changes" or "modification" with regards to how he tel his story for 3 decades straight.

He has. He even addresses this in the documentary.

He did, apparently, take videos which are available online while outside of the base (before the land grab). But I highly doubt anyone in a highly-classified military base would be allowed to bring in a camera.

I don't doubt the potential he was just young, looking for attention, and maybe now he's become tired of the spotlight.
But that still doesn't explain certain pieces of information he brought up in the 80s, that was proven 20-30 years later.

With all due respect, that’s not something you can just learn from the Internet and be objective about it. That’s why we need someone as passionate as you offline. area-51.cc.

Some theories include Area 51 is the perfect base to conduct advance research that would otherwise be destructive or would alter the faith of humanity. In there research such as advance propulsion system take place or even the controversial story of extraterrestrial beings in top secret deep freeze chambers. There are also conspiracy theories stating that it could be the perfect "studio" to fake the lunar landings. Area 51 could possibly be where the government reverse engineer other worldly aircrafts.

With all due respect, you’re wrong. The offline will uncover this topic sooner than you think. area-51.cc.

It seems my previous post here didn't survive the forum meltdown, so here goes something like it again. Tongue

As the above had mentioned, Area 51 is just a military installment, possibly a bomb testing site.

Most of the "truths" about Area 51 are hoaxes.

It's just a military base.

That's what they want you to believe.

Actually, there being some conspiracy going on in there, might be what they really want you to believe - and not just there, but more often than not. This isn't to say conspiracies are always false; of course some do turn out to be true.

But, I sort of believe in a slightly different conspiracy theory - a conspiracyception, if you will: these and similar stories are often pushed, and perhaps even purposefully fabricated, to keep the population distracted. I mean, can you imagine how much "worse" it would be if people spent the same time and effort they spend on all conspiracy theories, for something like social and political activism and reforms?

You’re not far away from the truth. And you know what to do. area-51.cc.

I think many of these types of things used to be secret in the past.

Such as Area51 was not a house hold name back when it started..
They use to say it was secret because they had to make large efforts
to hide their activity from Russian satellites.

They would mount jets on poles then measure the radar signature etc.
Then they knew when the Russian satellite was coming to look at them
then they would quickly hide the airplanes in hangars..
In an effort to hide the shape mostly i think.
But it did not work.. the full size airplanes in the desert sun would cast a shadow.
So when they removed the airplane the shadow was still a different temperature
than the rest of the surrounding area.. giving the Russians the exact shape that was a secret.

Those sneaky shadow-spying Russian bastards with their secret satellites!

Russians don’t have anything to do with this. Just open your eyes. area-51.cc.
