Hi, OP here. Our system is designed so that you don't have to trust us, or our writers. To fulfil our primary objective of converting news articles into data we uses multiple verification layers, handled by random people across the network, who each conduct tasks to check the work of others. This ensures that the data that is extracted form news articles matches the source reporting, and is also free of bias. We have been doing much of this work manually so far, and are working on the smart contracts now.

Storing that data -- which ultimately will become the word's largest news archive -- on the blockchain means that it cannot be tampered with, is difficult to take down, and can be used as an open news data marketplace to build trusted news applications.
