2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - rent your rig, get more! on: April 18, 2014, 10:42:29 PM
I have a question,

Why would people rent mining rigs at a loss? There are better ways to invest and get more value for money.
3  Economy / Services / Looking to get in contact with a venture capitalist. on: April 17, 2014, 10:15:12 PM
I'm looking to get in touch with a venture capitalist regarding a working business plan.

I'm not willing to publicly disclose information over the post, but I am hoping somebody can refer me to a venture capitalist for the best interest of the Bitcoin ERA!

Please PM ME

I have good intentions of positively impacting the general interest of BITCOINS.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 29, 2014, 03:40:17 AM
So I purchased another Antminer through bitmain a couple weeks ago, they shipped it, the tracking shows delivered, but i haven't received anything yet. I contacted Bitmain to see how we would be able to resolve the situation seeing that it neither of our fault.
It's been a week and i'm still emailing them and waiting for a response.

This is just a warning for people that may live in a high-risk area!!!!

If it comes down to it, this will probably be an expensive loss....
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Not enough power! on: March 22, 2014, 09:04:30 PM
I live in an apartment and I have 6 antminers s1, 3 antminers running on one circuit and 3 running on the other side of my room on another circuit. My problem is that my 6 Antminers need more electricity!!!! 6 Antminers will shut off my electricity in my room, living room, and kitchen, but 5 antminers is perfectly fine!!!

What options am I looking at right now?? I'm planning to run my 6th antminer at my own house in a different city but it seems impractical since i want to have access to the interface etc, but it might be the only option!
6  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: March 16, 2014, 02:03:14 AM
It's getting a little warm outside and my ants are going up in temps. Most of them are between 41C and 46C "BUT" fans don't seem to spin any faster. Maximum fan speed I've seen is 2040 in the GUI. What gives? Should they be running faster to keep things cool? Is there something I can do other than pulling the blue wire?
It's starting to feel like my posts are invisible. Did I get banned or something?

I know how that feels, especially since I just posted an easy vmod and Ive seen not many attempt this...
But, ur temps are fine, the fan really starts spinning up when u hit the 50's area....

You should post some pictures, i'm not entirely sure where these parts are located on the Antminer!

7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 15, 2014, 11:01:20 PM
HI all. I recently received an AntMiner. Everything seems ok from an access standpoint but it won't hash. Poking around seems to indicate that DNS is not resolving. I can't get any name resolution when SSH'd into the box. I've been through the various configuration/troubleshooting guides and researching on the forums. I've tried the recommended NTP settings, DNS settings, hard reset, etc. My network config is as follows:

Router: 192.168.1.1
DNS: 192.168.1.1

Ant Config:

IP: 192.168.1.99
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Broadcast: blank
DNS: 8.8.8.8, 192.168.1.1

Any ideas what other configuration settings I need to review/check?

Thanks

Did you try changing the Ant IP address or switching it to DHCP protocol...

could also mean that your antminer isn't connected to the internet? so check LAN and WAN
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can someone explain BTCGUILD's PPLNS to me like I am a five year old. on: March 15, 2014, 09:20:50 AM
I havent seen anyone with PPLNS making more than PPS.

And you are mining at BTCguild?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you like Auroracoin, you're going to LOVE Mazacoin (MZC)! on: March 15, 2014, 08:42:28 AM
Can somebody explain to me what factors affect how many coins can be mined a day? It seems as if the AVG coins for Mazacoin went from a

 42,461.7228(current) /
8,587.8771 (AVG)

^
This is when mining is most profitable, but i want to know the cause of it.... Is it change in difficulty?
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can someone explain BTCGUILD's PPLNS to me like I am a five year old. on: March 14, 2014, 06:13:27 AM
I've also read about PPLNS being a loyalty system...

Does this mean i will lose all my shares if i switch to a more profitable pool or will my shares accumulate. Or are shares only calculated from the beginning to the end of a period.
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Antminer S1 Anyone have a actual Wattage??? on: March 14, 2014, 12:11:23 AM
I'm worried about my miners...

Occasionally it would show a status of

oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo
xxoooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo

When i reboot the antminer, it switches around to

xxoooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo
oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo

Should i be concerned about this at all? Could it be the power supply or heat, or is my antminer is just stupid...
12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Antminer S1 Anyone have a actual Wattage??? on: March 13, 2014, 10:28:39 PM
I run my antminers in pairs of 2 connected to corsair rm1000's.

Power at the distribution unit where the power supply plugs in is: 3.6A~750watts @ 208V power.

When you purchased the 1000 watt corsair to power 2 antminers, did it come with 4 PCI-E cables, or did you have to purchase them separately?
13  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Antminer S1 Anyone have a actual Wattage??? on: March 13, 2014, 09:03:16 PM
I took some time to take some pictures of my rig setup and the wattage meter for you,

I hope this helps!!!

These are my 3 AntMiner S1 Rigs , + 1 Dyson Fan(100Watts AVG)

I am also using a wattage meter,

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: March 13, 2014, 01:06:17 AM

how far has anyone ever cranked on of there up speed wise without a meldown?

how far has anyone ever cranked on of there up speed wise without a meldown?

My temperature balanced out to 43-48... This is with the Antminer set on the floor...

xoxoxoxo xoxoxoxo oooooooo oooooooo

This is what is showing for one of my miner.. but the hash rate seems to be about right.

Do you know if the "xoxoxoxo xoxoxoxo oooooooo oooooooo" is something i should be concerned about?
The temperature avg 42-45 for this miner.
17  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS Bitcoins accepted Neteller, Paypal & OKPAY. on: March 12, 2014, 02:46:21 PM
She replied to me in the morning and told me that she went to sleep... this was her excuse for not sending the 1 BTC that i requested....

I opened a dispute the night before... and as of this morning, she asked me to cancel the dispute and she will send the funds...

Is there a trick that I should be aware of?
If i close a paypal dispute, will I be able to re-open another dispute?
Would closing the dispute give her more time to launder my money if she happens to be a Scammer?
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: March 12, 2014, 11:32:25 AM
What method do you use to cool your Antminers?

There was a video about facing the heat sinks outwards... and attaching 4 ARTIC PWM fans.

The total cost to do this is around $20-$25... Hopefully it should be worth it in the end.
4 fans on the outside blowing on the chips and 1 in the front pulling out. Here's an older pic, but you'll get the idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=443718.msg4920949#msg4920949

I live by the Ocean/Beach....

It's cold at night, but temperatures are still 46-50.....

I'll buy a box fan this week to see if i can drop the temperature to 40...
19  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: March 12, 2014, 10:47:15 AM
it's averaging about 192 gh/s now - up from about 178 - perhaps I should have done some cleaning when I got it - but it's tucked away in a cabinet now in a data center and the luck of shush's pool is being good to me - so I'm not touching it now.
That's a very good idea, it's amazing how much dust these things pick up and a clean once every 3 weeks makes quite a difference, but if it's in a data center it shouldn't be as much of a problem.

FWIW: I get 203Gh/s at 400Mhz with decent extra cooling.

when referring to this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=348327.0

it shows examples to change for older and new antminers - well it looks like there's even newer that this thread refers to:

The thread show to change to this: and I don't have a '4e81' entry in my file - am I supposed to add the 4e81 entry?

From original overclocking thread....

Code:
package 'cgminer'

config 'asic-freq' 'default'
        option 'freq_value'      '4f81'        #400M
        option 'chip_freq'     '400'
        option 'timeout'       '35'

        #option 'freq_value'      '4e81'        #375M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '375'
        #option 'timeout'       '37'

        #option 'freq_value'     '4d81'  #350M
        #option 'chip_freq'      '350'
        #option 'timeout'        '40'

        #option 'freq_value'    '4c81'  #325M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '325'
        #option 'timeout'       '40'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0b81'  #300M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '300'
        #option 'timeout'       '45'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0981'  #250M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '250'
        #option 'timeout'       '55'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0781'  #200M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '200'
        #option 'timeout'       '70'

        #option 'freq_value'    '4f02'  #193M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '193'
        #option 'timeout'       '70'

however - this is in the file of my brand new antminer:

Code:
package 'cgminer'

config 'asic-freq' 'default'
        #option 'freq_value'    '4f81'  #400M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '400'

        option 'freq_value'     '4d81'  #350M
        option 'chip_freq'      '350'
        option 'timeout'        '40'

        #option 'freq_value'    '4c81'  #325M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '325'
        #option 'timeout'       '40'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0b81'  #300M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '300'
        #option 'timeout'       '45'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0981'  #250M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '250'
        #option 'timeout'       '55'

        #option 'freq_value'    '0781'  #200M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '200'
        #option 'timeout'       '70'

        #option 'freq_value'    '4f02'  #193M
        #option 'chip_freq'     '193'
        #option 'timeout'       '70'

I was in your position not too long ago! I received my first Antminer on Saturday and got a couple more this week.
