mrtrust, do you not like this coin because it's not growing FAST? A lot of time and effort has gone into developing this coin, and it contains innovative features no other coins have. I just don't understand why you must hate on this coin so much. Did you loose a bunch of money and it's you life goal to now shit on this coin and all it's followers? I believe in this coin, and I'm in for the long run.
Do not have to respond to mtrust, he does not know shame. He's just looking for high stats to get everyone to believe with his words.

This coin is the biggest crap what I've ever seen 100%! Devs can't even list it on Bittrex, they beg 3 btc for it! I think even brainless are starting to understand that this project is dead, and no any perspective there! But, do what you want! Keep listening here that I'm a troll and this shit is very good!

Lolll, dude did you ever run the freaking wallet? It syncs faster than any other wallet i ever synced before. If you can't see the devs actually did a great job on that one then idk, think you need to go somewhere else...

Wallet won't sincronise. How to add nodes in win10?

I have both running on linux and windows and i never had to add any nodes.
Sounds to me like some firewall issue, have u checked that?
When u first run gexp in windows, the windows firewall will give a popup to allow connections to the wallet, make sure u allow it, else u cant sync your wallet.

Else u can see at the first page of exp how to add nodes : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173722.0

Can anyone explain why the difficulty seem to have skyrocketed yesterday? My 24 hrs earning indicator from Dwarfpool has sunk by 40% even though the price has shot up. It does not make sense, at least with my little understanding of what factors could be involved

I think there are more eyes on exp now after the price rise yesterday, which is good imo.
If u watch the blocks and shares on dwarfpool it also rised there, so its someone on dwarf.

Cheap tickets approaching?  Smiley Smiley
Getting ready for the fee war!  Cool

I still don't get the pos side, any guide to this?

There's plenty of information on the Decred forums, and the staking pools also provide (minimal) instructions on how to get your tickets assigned for pool voting. Maybe get started by browsing the documentation here: https://docs.decred.org/mining/proof-of-stake/

Yes, well I read that but I don't get the ticket/voting part. Why do I need to vote and can I lose coins if it fails for example. I couldn't find it in the documentation but maybe I read over it. I'll check it again.

If you want to understand better PoS in Decred (theoretical part) read this thread:
https://forum.decred.org/threads/understanding-of-proof-of-stake.180/

Few important things to note:
- this thread was started in January, even before Decred release, so there are a lot of wrong assumptions;
- to save your time read only responses of davecgh

In order to be eligible for the lottery, you first have to purchase stake tickets by submitting a special type of signed transaction (called a stake submission transaction, or sstx for short) to the network which locks the coins for a certain period of time. As an aside, this is why cold staking is possible because once you have signed and submitted the sstx, you no longer need the private keys for the original coins available in a hot wallet. Instead there are new private key(s) for the sstx.

When a block is mined, a lottery system is used to randomly choose 5 stake tickets which are then called to vote. This is why the stake wallet (or whatever happens to be listening) needs to be online to answer the call. Ultimately the idea is to have stake pools which allow users to pool their funds for voting towards things using multisig. The vote is actually cast by submitting another special type of transaction (called a stake submission generation transaction, or ssgen for short) which is signed by the key(s) associated with the first output of the original sstx. Note these keys are NOT the same as private keys for the original coins, which is what makes the cold staking possible and means they can't be stolen because the original coins aren't actually sent anywhere until they are released. They were simply "locked" to prevent spending. The ssgen transaction effectively casts the vote and causes the original coins and the stake reward to be delivered to the address(es) originally specified in the sstx.

I should also note that the PoS difficulty (stake difficulty) dynamically adjusts over time just like the PoW difficulty does. In practice, this means it will get more expensive to purchase stake tickets over time. This effectively keeps the ticket pool size stable and essentially creates a ticket market on the chain.

Thanks for this Smiley

pre-mine 2.6 mil coins
and .... eth pre mine 100%
decred the best

50% distributed free to the first 3000 members of the community in a program that anyone could participate.
Each person received 282 DCR

Not even close to 2.6mil

Taken from front page of bitcointalk:

The premine consists of 8% of the total supply of 21 million coins, meaning the premine consists of 1.68 million coins. Rather than allocating the entire premine to the bring-up costs, we decided to split the premine equally between compensation for bring-up and an "airdrop", where we freely give an equal amount of coins to a number of airdrop participants. This means Company 0 and its developers will have put roughly USD 415,000 into the bring-up since April, 2014 and receive 4% of the total supply, 840,000 coins (at USD 0.49 per coin). The remaining 4% will be spread evenly across a list of airdrop participants as part of an effort to build the Decred network and decentralize its distribution.  Coins held by Company 0 will be used to fund its ongoing work on open-source projects, such as Decred and btcsuite.

Watched the market for the last 2 days, a bot tries to keep the price down. Only a few btc would double the price.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 20, 2015, 11:43:54 AM
Yes sorry meant transistors. Alright ill try to get it work with 2 blades thanks!
If i get it right im gonna start to make a fine pcb with connectors. Im getting crazy of all this mess!  Shocked

About my try to repair my S3+ blades:

After i took the whole thing apart again i found the oscillators on the S3+ blades, which i first thought there weren't any on it.

I had an old, still working S1 miner. First i checked how the oscillators responded with an oscilloscope and they where working fine as expected.
Then i checked my S3+ blades and they where dead indeed. No signals, no voltage, nothing.
The donated oscillator works after replacing it on the S3+ blades, again i checked it with an oscilloscope. It gets it voltage and signals on all sides again.

But STILL no signal on the RX. The TX still around 1.8v

So there's got to be something else that is fried and i cant find out what it is. Im about to give up on it now.
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 19, 2015, 12:35:15 AM
right, like i thought they only work separately. That why u got 2 more mosfets on your new version right? To control 2 blades?
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 19, 2015, 12:17:39 AM
Ill try to solder it rq, i prepared the cables already. ill post my results
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 19, 2015, 12:15:18 AM
The board is the same as your 'corrected scheme' that u removed.

Yeah i saw that about the dead blades but mine doesn't have oscillators on it. So i cant try that

Edit

Found the oscillators on the blades, i need to order the replacements first before i can try it
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 18, 2015, 09:43:53 PM
Thank you too mate!

Well then i guess the S3+ blades died sadly, but i still wont give up lol. There's got to be something there, ill check it later.

EDIT

I wanted to solder my second connector, but to think of it. Do i need to add another mosfet curcuit or can i just add it to the same group?
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 18, 2015, 07:48:22 PM
Your new schematic sended me in the right direction!

After i saw that u changed the 33k resistor location. I found out that there where some loose connection and that is why it worked only for a little while when i just builded it. it worked when the 33k resistor where loose but when it makes contact it didnt work. So after changing that it where all running fine, even on my BM1117.

Then i ran into some other problem. I thought it where running on S3+ blades but they where just normal S3 Blades. When i connect the prototype to the S3+ blades they wont do anything. Even a original controlboard ( S3 versions) wont work. The blade only gives values on the TX, the RX ones dont do anything  Huh Are my S3+ blades dead  Cry

Other that that the prototype works! i just connected the fan wires and they all work fine.

Ill let it hash over the night and see how it goes.

I only have one question though, maybe someone knows it... Does a S3 Controller work on S3+ Blades? Else its 100% sure that the blades died with the controller when it where fried.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 18, 2015, 11:32:47 AM
3.3v from the blade is also 3.34/3.35 so i think thats good
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 18, 2015, 10:54:09 AM
My 3.3V reports 3.34 with my multimeter and my 1.8v is between 1.79 and 1.8v

I have the same problem as u, no connection between controller and the blade.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 17, 2015, 10:08:23 PM
nvm i found out thats normal...
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: August 17, 2015, 10:05:02 PM
I flashed to the last one, now i flashed back to the one that supports S3+ which i first used but still a no go.

i checked on loose connectors but it still looks good as far i could see.
its kinda late now im not to sharp.

I saw this in my kernel:

Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: pic update
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: open /dev/bitmain0 to restart pic
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: open /dev/bitmainbl0 ok fd = 0x4
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: read data
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit:
  • {0x1}, [1]{0x10}, [2]{0x1}, [3]{0x10}, [4]{0x1}, [5]{0}, [6]{0x10}, [7]{0x1}, [8]{0x10}, [9]{0x4}, [10]{0x4},
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: Version 1.0
Tue Aug 18 05:57:18 2015 daemon.info sysinit: open pic update file fail

Think there is the problem. but i dont know how to solve that

EDIT

This is btw on the first supported for S3+ and on the last version same error
