1  Bitcoin / Electrum / How to select UTXO's to pay from in Android version of Electrum? on: April 29, 2022, 06:00:24 PM
Not possible to select UTXO in Android version of Electrum! Very bad, I cannot pay anythng because transaction cost is tens of dollars.

Response:
That's unfortunate but there's a workaround.
You can still freeze addresses in Android Electrum so its associated UTXO(s) wont be used in your transaction.

To get there:
Tap menu (3-dots), select "Addresses".
Tap the addresses with the UTXO that you don't want to include then tap "Freeze".
Frozen value will switch from "False" to "True".
Do the same to the other addresses of your choice.

The drawback is if the unwanted and preferred UTXO are tied to the same address, you can't select them individually.

This does not work. Addresses are not UTXO. I have old-format address, so the option "Addresses" show only one entry. However, I have tens of UTXO's on that address, so when I set up payment, it is sourced by many UTXO's and fee is multiplied by number of these UTXO's.

I did not find any way how to select coin or UTXO that will be used for payment.

Hello, I am testing blake with nicehash and I have 100% rejection rate. Where can I ask for support to check what is the reason?

Thanks, Jan

So if I understand well, in PPLNS it actually does not matter whether the block is or is not found while I push shares to the pool. All that matters is how many shares I push to the pool over period of time and then I am getting rewards after blocks are found. I do not need to hit the block, I only need to provide shares, right?

And does anyone know what is the N for AntPool, or what is time period of N?

Thanks for responses, I see a lot of criticism on AntPool, but no explanation how PPLNS is calculated :-)

Anyway, can you help me a bit? I understand that PPLNS is based on last number of shares per period. What I read somewhere else it may be "2.5 difficulty rounds", which seems strange to me, because it would be about 5 weeks. I assume it is a rather 2.5 block rounds, which would be some 25 minutes. Can anyone clear that?

If PPLNS is based in shares in the past and PPS is also based on amout of shares that the miner puts in the system, where is the difference then?

Hello. I read that AntPool PPLNS pays reward depending on last N difficulty shares, but I cannot find anywhere what N is. Can you please tell me what is (approximate) time duration of "last N difficulty rounds"? Or does anyone know reward calculation formula for AntPool PPLNS?
8  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium backup verification not working on: September 03, 2019, 12:47:33 PM
Thanks for confirmation. The backup is not a problem - since it is external address, it is already backed up elsewhere. The problem is the annoying HUGE red warning covering screen that the backup has not been verified.

May it be that verification compares only against addresses created by Mycelium? Because the address I am trying to verify is imported external address.
10  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Mycelium backup verification not working on: September 02, 2019, 10:04:03 AM
Hello, anyone else with this problem?
I create backup of my private key, write down the password. Then I go to VERIFY, scan the encrypted private key from PDF document, enter the same password and I get message "The key does not correspond to any bitcoin address".

Tried several times with newly generated backup. What can I do? Thanks, Jan
